Mara, what is the likelihood of getting some selenite in the future?

I may be remembering wrong, but I think Selenite is a bad candidate to wrap because it's so soft and crumbly. I was just offered some last weekend and turned it down. I will keep an eye out though if you want me to find some for you. The same vendor will be back again. Let me know.

Oh! Makes sense. I do recall selenite is a very soft crystal. I just recently discovered how awesome it was in getting rid of some shoulder pain/tension, but I just have a large piece of it, so thought it would be nice to have something easier to bring around with me. I will defer to your judgement though if it wouldn't be a good stone to wrap and wear?

Hi Mara!! I am looking for a good sized Rose quartz wrapped with copper. Do you have one available? If so I'd love to get that and you could send it with my next order if that works.

I have quite a few in raw form, in the neighborhood of silver dollar sized, and polished pieces I have around quarter sized.

I can send you pix when I am in the store next, and you can see selection. Saturday. We're facebook friends right? I can send them to you that way. :)

I think it would be better to put it in a cloth pouch and wear that around your neck, truthfully.

I keep a chunk of it alongside several other pieces. I have to dust it with a wee feather duster. IVery fragile, so much so that just hsndling it incorrectly causes crystal bits to break. Be careful with it.

I want a fairy feather duster!

Sorry about that. I am on my laptop as my puter is being worked on so my options are limited at the mo. But yeah, I think you are right she'd probably like the polished better. I will have John pull these for you. Thank you.

Eggers, I do not have any right now but there is a gem show next weekend and I will search for you. Is it black and white spotted like it sounds?

It is. I think sometimes there's a little brown around the black dots. But yes, it looks like a Dalmatian's coat. I'm only looking for a small piece or two, so please don't go out of your way. I just thought that if you had some, I'd rather buy from you than from another vendor. Thanks Mara! :)

I'm pretty sure I have seen it before and will keep an eye out. Jasper is one of Jessica's favorite stones and she is going with me so I will tell her to dial in for that. I will look for tumbled pieces. Thanks.

Mara, do you carry Dalmatian Stone/Dalmatian Jasper?

Eggers, we weren't able to find anything called "Dalmation" Jasper, but we did lay our hands on some "Zebra" jasper, Could it be the same thing? Will snap pix for you on Saturday.

Mara, do you still have any black tourmaline?

We have black tourmaline wrapped in sterling (around 20-30$), and we have tons of loose tourmaline in two quality levels - (cheap or pricey), but I just got my hands on some more this weekend that I am wrapping in copper. So the answer is YES! And the copper wrapped ones can be had for the $6 price plus shipping. :)

Mara, it's not the same thing, but for my purposes, it might be even better than Dalmatian Jasper! Thank you! :)

Aww yassss! Thanks! Could you hang onto a copper wrapped black tourmaline for me when they're done, please? I would also like a loose piece of the raw bumpy kind if you have any (small enough to fit in a pocket if that is possible). I'd also be interested in a copper wrapped (raw) rose quartz if you have any of those left. I will shoot you an email this weekend!

I'll snap pix at the store on Saturday. I think I have everything you want.

Yes, ALWAYS have Rose Quartz, very popular staple.

:) Thanks!

Quick question - I hope it's okay that I'm asking here. What's the best way to cleanse crystals? I've read that tucking them in salt is good, or putting them outside in the sunlight - but sunlight has been kinda... missing from our crappy Ontario days lately!

While I was looking for a piece of roze quartz I know is around here somewhere, I came across an amethyst that I forgot I even had! I'd like to cleanse them both before I use them.

I've used sea salt or coarse kosher salt for cleansing them but the best thing I've read and tried recently is the full moon. I just put my crystals in the window and let them sit there overnight and all the next day. These are the only things I know though. Edited by tink333

Thanks Tink! This is what I'd heard, too. I've used salt, but I've never done a full moon cleanse. I'll try that. :)

My method is to bury in a bowl of dry salt and leave it on the window sill for a cycle of two weeks.

Some crystals are harmed by sun and some by water, so this method protects from either and you get both sun and moon cleansing too.

Thank you! That's perfect. :D XOX

There is also the lazy way which is to put your crystals next to a large Selenite which cleanses anything near it. I can't be keeping track of moon cycles and shit. I can barely keep track of my children.

 Good to know! Thanks Halo. :)

The only reason I remember the full moon is 'cause it's my crazy time, too. ;)
