I was wondering if the Apple in it is Apple or Apple Blossom. Either one would be lovely.

I kind of thought the same thing, but I would think if it were apple blossom it would be listed that way. I think just having peach blossom listed next, the brain just turns "apple" into "apple blossom"...

Which makes me glad, too, because I would definitely prefer the fruit over the floral...although peach blossom sounds lovely! I just can't wait to try this one, I'm so curious.

The apple in this one is most akin to applesauce, I think. It's a mellow apple, not a huge bright one, it's subtle within the mix and lightly sweet. :)

Apple blossom, just FYI is actually kind of soapy smelling and wouldn't have fit this blend.

Yes I don't really get the spice myself except as an undertone when wet, but it's a very bright sweet scent until full drydown. Not overly sweet, but in the way you would expect a fruit-based scent to be. The apple is mellow, as Mara says, with a nice body but not tart or crisp. The other notes support the cheerful aura which goes perfectly with the PM.

Sometimes peach loves me - original brew of WW - or too pointy - Shen Tao. I WANT so much to love this b/c I love PM. I get excited every time something new with it in the fragrance comes out!

I don't get spices either. This is a sheer, feminine fruity floral scent. More like the hint of floral. I guess that's the peach blossom...? The apple is very light, even less than in Tease. It just adds a bit of brightness to things. Like the others have said, it's not overly sweet, but this does have a bit of throw on me. An overall happy scent. It put me in a good mood to wear it!

There is nothing pointy or sharp at all in this. On paper I couldn't imagine how this would smell. I need to test it more because it only lasted about an hour on me last night. It is gorgeous while it lasted though.

Oh yay! That's what I was hoping to see! Except I'm sad it disappeared so quickly for you :(

Excitement is increasing! Stalking my email for shipping confirmation..... :D

Peach Blossom is different from a peach accord, though.

This is a good thing I am hoping! Hummingbird Nectar 2014 has peach blossom and that one agrees with me...Ooooo...this could work!

Can't add a thing to that, BB, because you said it all. Well, OK, maybe I'll add that I can detect a teensie bit of pepper, but it's just enough to give it an edge. I wasn't sure about this one because usually I and pepper go our separate ways, but I'm really enjoying this particular crayon. This may be a FB for me because it DOES make me happy!

You are making this SOOOOO hard to NOT order a FB unsniffed!

Why do I even bother to TRY to wait for my sampler???

Maybe next month I should just hold off on my order completely until the reviews start coming in for the NRs?

I feel my resolve to wait slipping treacherously and quickly away....

I *love* PM and now I'm torn on whether to bravely, impulsively, and stupidly get a bottle of this unsniffed or just hold out and save up for UN-PM. This sounds so pretty... like the most beautiful bowl of applesauce. :Emoticons04263:

If you had sniffed and liked, I would tell you to get the bottle of this b/c intented scented pheros work twice their magic :D

Another screaming winner!! I dabbed this on this am and sniffed hard. Immediately got a lovely serene sense of well-being, THANKS PM!, and found it surprisingly close-wearing. Obviously foody but with a thread of something greenish that I couldn't put my finger on - must've been the peach blossom - which went away in about 30 minutes. I also picked up a vague sense of hot spice & my brain speculated it was cinnamon, but it must've been something else... the ginger maybe. Now in late drydown it smells exactly like this looks and tastes, the pink-lady apple:

pink_lady_apple.jpg

Throughout I've gotten a sense of pink sheen - no idea what from, since none of the notes are obviously pink. Utterly delightful.

eta YEESH sorry about the huge pic - can't figure out how to shrink it.

If I had to pick I would say the feel of this reminds of Pomme de Poison and Tease ...that kind of sheer floaty girly apple.

I wore my tester of this all day today and was practically attacked (in a very nice way!) by guys at work walking up and saying how good I smelled. Usually one or two will comment, but today it was like four or five!

This is such a beautiful scent, perfect for the phero.

I am reconsidering my order for a FB -- it needs to be an order for TWO FBs. Wait, no -- THREE!

So this was the most-anticipated of the monthly NRs for me, and now that they're here I finally got to test it! I tried it on last night, then wore it out all day today. I LOVE the scent! I get mostly fruit with just a touch of sweet floral, which is absolutely perfect for me. I'm not a big fan of florals, but finding that with LPs I'm adjusting to them a little bit more when blended well with other scents (even though I don't think I'll EVER like rose!). So the scent here is beautiful. It doesn't seem to have alot of throw on me though, and faded fairly quickly.

This is the first time I've really tried out Perfect Match. Not being around alot of other people, "the guy" again was a good test subject. He seemed overall to be in a pretty good mood, and was nice and friendly to me today, which I sometimes attribute to the phero I'm wearing, but I can't say I had any striking hits. Not long after applying I felt dizzy, which has happened to me before with Lace, but I also do suffer from vertigo so I can't necessarily blame the PM (although I do suspect that's what it was).

So overall, I think I need more testing to see if I need to go FB on this. If the phero is a winner, then this is definitely the first scent that I've really liked it in.

Wheeeee! I'm about to ravage my monthly samples...must know what this one is like! :w00t:

Update:

Wore this today!

In the vial last night I thought, mmm, not sure....It didn't smell like apple, it didn't smell floral. Not sure what cactus fruit smells like but I think, first, I got the ginger and pepper. BUT.

When I slathered it on today it was delicious and fruity and...zingy? It stayed a bright but light and yet distinctly fruity sweet scent. I'm somewhat fearful of fruits because when they go bad with me, it's a pointy headache, a kind of piercing in my eye type headache. When they go right - OH MY - this one has gone right!

I was a little afraid last night sniffing only the vial b/c of the whole 2 bottles unsniffed purchase, but this is going to be GREAT! It's such an awesome pairing with the season! It's crisp but not pointy, bright but not slap you in the face...it feels very happy to me, makes me feel bubbly and in a good mood...could be the PM too I suppose...:D

Hm. I wasn't expecting to really go for this one because I am not a fan of apple scents, but this one is pretty special. I get the apple but then there is a soft cushion underneath the fruit which is -- a little creamy? a little smoky? a little spicy? I'm not sure WHAT it is, and it's tantalizing and yummy to sit here sniffing my wrist and trying to figure it out! I love Perfect Match, so I may need to give this one full bottle consideration. This is why I have to get the sampler EVERY TIME!

As someone new to perfume, due to a lifetime of chemical sensitivity, I can't comment with the sophistication of the other posts, but this smells so pretty! I can see wearing it just to feel cheerful. I had to have a bottle as soon as I smelled it.

And thank you so much for making perfumes that I can wear without all those chemicals!

^^^ What she said!:D

I only WISH I could explain my scent perceptions as well as others! I always feel like I'm grasping for ways to describe my curiosities or adoration....but regardless, I am SO grateful to FINALLY have perfumes in my life! And not only that, but wonderfully unique and absolutely amazing perfumes that are like no others! :bday1029:

The pepper is what scared me if this at first, but it's hidden well, because I don't smell it! I get a very soft apple and peach blossom. It's softly sweet, very girly and delicious. The ginger just barely peeks out to give a bit of sparkle, it's subtle but there.

I love how the apple in this doesn't take over and steal the show. It plays well with the other notes and doesn't overwhelm - this is definitely a pinky type of scent.

In the sample vial and for the first few seconds on my skin, this is lovely: very pretty and light, a little bit fruity and a little bit floral.

Like a juicy, dainty, spring-like fruity salad. Something you would eat in a tree house in late spring, fresh green leaves all around you and the sounds of birds and laughter in the distance.

I can detect a hint of the pepper peeking out and I really like that; it adds some zest to what would otherwise be an utterly innocent scent.

Unfortunately, there is one note in it that, as soon as it hits my skin, gets amped and amped and amped until it drives me nuts; I think it is something fruity but on my skin it turns stale.

I recognize it from a few other blends, but I still can't put my finger on what it is exactly.

Such a pity, because when it's not on me, this blend smells so gorgeous!

And Perfect Match is my utterly favorite phero blend, it just works SO well for me in all kinds of situations (from romantic to social).

And of course, I bought a full bottle unsniffed. :-(

Oh well, I have PM in another scent as well as in UN....

I'll probably put this bottle up on the swap forum when I get around to opening a thread there.

Try it again before you give up on it. It smelled totally different on me the second time I wore it. Of course I liked it better the first time but that is my bad luck. LOL

Oh, that IS bad luck!

Yeah, will try again - I'll probably wait a couple of weeks though (that's the nice thing about already having a FB, I don't need to worry about it selling out while I'm testing!).

Give my skin chemistry a chance to shift, etc.

Plus, apart from the crayons, I ordered a dozen or so other samples of things that had made me curious, so I've got a whole lotta testing to do still! ;)

It's the same for me too, Misty. I just discovered LP's fragrances last month after ordering a couple of UNs and smelling the samples that came with them. It's opened a whole new playing field that has always been off limits until discovering LP!

This forum has been wonderful too. Sometimes I'll try a fragrance that's still stronger than I can do. On another thread here, I learned how to convert to spray so I can still wear them. I'm a fragrance-wearing machine these days ... and I love it!

Thank you to Mara and your team!!

BF and I spent the weekend together and of course, i had to try out the Perfect Match. I noticed that it seemed to smooth the edges for us and get us back to being playful with each other instead of tired and cranky. So, yay! on the PM effects. However, i cannot stand the scent. Peachy apple-y old lady house -- whatever it is, my skin turn this into something horrible on me. I could not wait for it to wear off. BF was not a fan of the scent either -- he's the one who said I smeilled like old lady house.

I would like to give the Perfect Match another try, to see if the effects are consistent, but it will have to be unscented or in a diferent perfume.
