Blueberry can be a little funny on me but in this I didn't recognize it. Wet it just smells exactly like what you'd imagine a blue rose would smell like- a fairly dark blue, like almost lapis or cobalt, one. I did recognize LAM but only in the first seconds when it was wet. Of course the scent covered it beautifully and completely after that. I haven't worn LAM in a very long time and today it made men deferential and giddy.

This is just a simple straightforward fruity rose perfume. The blueberry doesn't read as Blueberry that much, just as sweetness. This one was tricky for me to dose. My typical testing amount was too faint and wore off very quickly so I did the amount I wear when I already know I like it and it was way too much. It got very sharp at that point. Rose can be stabby on me occasionally but I think it was also the Sweetpea contributing. So I prefer this applied with a light hand even though it wears lightly that way.

For me, this reminds me a little of Passion & Envy because it starts out so tangy. The blueberry is rather tart on me, mingling with the intensity of the rose - the Sweetheart type of rose tends to be rather "juicy" to me. The blueberry fades back after a bit but I'm loving the rose, it's so pretty. I could see layering this with something else, like a resin, maybe, or another fruit note. But it's a great cover for LAM.

I have really been enjoying the rose scents lately and this one does not disappoint. I adore LAM, it is the one bottle I can't be without in my collection, I panic when I see it going down. This is a beautiful choice to pair with LAM. At first, the blueberry was especially sharp but it dried down to a young, bright rose scent, not like some of those rose scents that I associate with my grandmother's older friends. This is a young smelling rose scent, the sweet pea and the blueberry definitely add that blue dimension to enhance the complexity. I really like it. I just got a sample and am seriously considering a fb. I agree with you, Luna65, I think this scent would be fun to layer with different scents, the resin would make it a richer scent (adding mystery?) rather than the light, sweet blue rose that it is alone.

Testing this today. OOOOMMMMGGGG the scent is delicious and divine at the same damn time LOL (rhyming on purpose). I already love rose scents, as anything with rose always smells great on me, for whatever reason. And the blueberry just makes the scent smell yummy. I like, I like...I have to test it around others. I think I may go shopping with this on and see what happens ;-)

P.s. I have never worn a LAM scent so this will be interesting for me

I was iffy on this because blueberry doesn't usually work for me in the long run, but I love Rose and sweet pea. First on, I get a blast of blueberry, sweet and tart and fresh. The LAM scent is present for the first few minutes but you know, it seems to balance the sweetness. Once the phero dries down, the blueberry has also backed off by that point, and I start to get the sweetness from the florals. More Rose than sweet pea. It's a very rich scent, but vibrantly so. It's like a summer day in Maine. (Um...not that I've ever been, but this is what I imagine it smells like, fresh, floral, fruity and blue.)

Like Halo, this doesn't come across as blueberry on me. It's a sweet, tangy, almost fruity scent. What it REALLY reminds me of is Playdate, although they don't have any of the same notes, lol.

When wet, Blue Rose on me is very juicy, tangy fruit forward. Upon drydown the rose begins to bloom. I love that the blueberry prevents the rose from becoming too heady. My favourite stage of this perfume is after wear when the notes are softer and gently waft wisps of blueberry and rose.

I've been putting off posting my review for Blue Rose for years because it's difficult to know what to write. My main thoughts are, "Yep. That's pretty much what it is." It's blue. It's roses. It's blue roses. Roses that smell blue. The name sums it up really well! Tells you everything you need to know.

For reference, here's the extent of my actual review in my personal notes:  It really does smell blue. Roses are the first scent, but like they are on a bed of sweet blue silk.
