This is precious. Ordered a sample of this...been wanting to try "Open Windows" for a while now, but River Song w/open windows is sold out. I think it feels like a sorta spiritual Eastern Blend....makes me think of Buddha, Quan Yin, Bamboo, yoga mats, noren curtains, etc.

Snuggables! But I hope that log isn't too high up. If that cubbling is like my cat he'll roll over and fall off in his sleep.

This scent sounds very intriguing. Very harmoniously balanced, yet somehow mysterious.

I think this is totally unisex, the bamboo is at the heart of it for me and the floral notes are just adding to the watery fresh feel. Simply lovely watery bamboo and smooth wood on the bottom...I don't even really get the yuzu unless it's just blending into everything else; it's so soothing. A wholly appropriate scent for work or social situations in that you will give off a nice clean gentle kind of vibe in combination with the phero.

My chemistry (and nose!) adore this one, and amp the lotus to sheer perfection. The adorable panda label is cute, but the label could have a mama vulture regurgitating half-chewed lizards into her baby vulture's mouth and I would still love the fragrance.

Sorry, Mara, but to me, this one whispers warm summer evenings redolent with night-blooming flowers, sitting out on the gazebo and listening to the sounds of day giving way to nightfall. Soft and serene.

I need to hoard this one.

OK Ducky, this was totally not on my radar and now I must go slather it on and see what happens!

:) Here's to hoping you like it, BC!! My skin always amps lotus (and jasmine) to no end, so maybe you'll get more of the watery greenery that everyone else is talking about. I think I like this one so much because my chemistry keeps the watery greenery way in the background.

Mmm, this is not me but it is *very* lovely! I get the creaminess I associate with ylang, but it's really one of those perfectly blended LPs which has become something unique and all its own. I agree with the night-blooming flowers at dusk Ducky so beautifully described.... very gentle and serene! It would absolutely be appropriate for work situations except that I would be drifting off in pure reverie!

At the risk of going off-topic, I am now having the best time picking out the notes for this:

Oh Ducky you made this sound so good. What previous LPs would you say this is similar to, In scent or feel?

There's no reason to be sorry, people get different impressions from the fragrances depending on their chemistry, that's part of their uniqueness and charm.

Luna, is this a similar "freshness" that River Song has? I ordered a sample of this, it sounds like something I need in my everyday work arsenal. :)

I think it does, although River Song had green/fruit elements which this one does not, for me. Bamboo is always a very watery note on me and it dominates in this blend (again, for me).

Does it compare at all with Stealing Heaven? or Mountain Meadow ect..

It's more of a neutral fresh scent, IMO. Like how Gemini and Embody the Tarot: Temperance are neutral. Stealing Heaven is sort of along the same lines as Canary Faery to me, they both have a kind of citrus brightness to them. Mountain Meadow was really green for me, more like Hoyden.

ok. thanks, That helps, those are good comparisons. The notes do suggest a neutrality.

When I saw the notes I didn't know what to expect. The bamboo and lotus give me a very specific feel but then it goes the other way with oud, plus there's Ylang? This is why I'm glad I got the full sampler. Last month I never would have guessed Carbon Black & Mountain Meadow would be my favorites.

I will patiently await my samplers to see what other surprises I'm in for.

I could have sworn there was lemon or citrus in this. It's very bright, zingy and happy. Open Windows is a great phero to pair with this! It's a very gentle scent that I think would be great to wear in any occasion. It's not too sweet, not too watery or too floral. The balance between all the notes is a perfect harmony. This would be a great mood booster type of scent for when you need a pick-me-up.

There is: yuzu is a type of Japanese grapefruit, I think?

This is a clean, lovely floral on me.

It is like clear water with floating lotus every where hidden behind a veil of lush bamboo swaying in the breeze.

OW is a great pairing with this :)

That's an excellent description and not far off of how it would have put it myself, though decidedly more poetic. It reminded me of posh spa hand soap or lotion.

So I didn't like this in the vial so I never tried it on. Today I was in the mood for something different so I gave it a whirl. I don't like watery scents and I don't like lotus so I'm very surprised that I like this but I do! Wet I get bamboo and yuzu but on a rather quiet subdued way. Upon drydown the ylang and chamomile dominate. I like it quite a lot. If it wasn't so sheer I would buy a bottle. I'll probably be wearing this a lot in the next few days to decide if I need a bottle. Mara never ceases to amaze and surprise me!

This is gorgeous, definitely not girlie-girlie, just very cool and smooth. I can smell the bamboo and yuzu initially, but then after a couple of hours it's pure, light, pretty flowers...and normally I'm not that into flowers. I used the sample oil, which normally has good staying power, but this one is max 4 hours before it's gone. Sad!!

Have noticed no pheromone effects the couple of times I've worn it, but I wasn't interacting much those days anyway.

Is Totem: Panda anything like The Big Easy with Teddy BB? I have a spray bottle of this on order, bought it unsniffed due to the description and terrific reviews! I love The Big Easy and wouldn't mind it if Totem: Panda were similar.

You know I was on and off with this then I made the decision to get a spray (because duh it's OW!) during the sale provided it held out. So glad I did. I'm not as crazy in love as I am with SH but I do like it, a lot!! Such a great partner with OW.

Ms Ducky was so right! Where the heck is she?

So I took a cue from you StacyK, and got this I spray and late last night I sprayed and kept spraying like 10 times cause it was pretty sheer I was trying to force a distinctive scent but mentally I was spent from the day but physically this kept me up and going for a few more hours which was a nice surpise, something I would expect Mega Watt not OW. Hopefully next time I try this it will be at a sane hour when I can clearly pick up notes.
