  1. Okay, call me liar-liar, pants-on-fire, I busted my sample out this weekend, and it's freakin' glorious!!! My sample has been aging for over a year, and now everything blends so perfectly together, I have worn it two days in a row, I cannot get enough! I don't know what made me reach for this, but I'm so glad I did. The honeycomb-civet-brown sugar that ganged up on me and mugged my nose last time have gone to rehab and charm school, wow, they are soooo smooth and classy blending with the perfect dark resins and drool-worthy dark, intoxicating, vanilla bean extract. I never thought anything with this combo of ingredients would ever smell great on me, but it does! Could be that it's a great time of month for me, I might try this two weeks to see if I feel the same way (fingers crossed!) If so, a FB will be gracing my collection.
  2. Is it wrong that I now want all of these?! How close is the Sugared Pink Musk to *the* Pink Musk? What do I have to layer it with to get it similar?
  3. You know Maroon, I stopped wearing my Cougar to work because of an encounter just like this. She picked a fight with me for the most ridiculous reason, and I knew it must be Cougar. But guess what? She has been a mega bitch to everyone lately, so screw her, I'm busting it out next week, ha! I've noticed that most women respond well to it, and only the most insecure ones will have a problem with it. And the other woman who seems to have a problem with me when I wear this is leaving next week. Buh-bye. Hello Cougar. Again. YAIS!! <-- LOL, ONE-EYED BANANA!!!
  4. Hmmm, might have to re-visit this one, I think I still have my trial spray somewhere. Maybe I didn't give this one a fair shake, I recall being pretty conservative with my sprays because I didn't want to OD the way I did with Cougar. Heart & Soul seems to be the one phero I can spray with abandon and not OD on, perhaps this is another one I need a fair amount of. Further testing needed!

    Honey Whip

Oh noes!! I've tried this one a couple of times, and for the first five minutes, it's DELICIOUS, a vanilla-honeyed marshmallow fluff, with just a hint of licorice, soooo good! But then I start amping the licorice to the stratosphere, and something is going "plasticky"?! Dammit. Now I smell like a licorice scented shower curtain. Arrrgh!! I will have to try this one with a scent locket to see if the nommy first five minutes will stick around longer.
  6. Yup, this is cocoa butter alright. Thick and creamy, I almost want to rub it in to my skin like lotion! For about ten minutes, it goes kinda weird on me, like the notes are all jumbled together or something. Then it all snaps together, and becomes a lush tropical floral kissed with a smidge of ginger. It eventually becomes all gardenia on me, still with the cocoa butter in the background. While not really a "me" scent, I will enjoy my sample.
  7. Wow, I was hoping that this one would work for me, because I do love me some orchid, yes I do! Wet, this is a very fresh pineapple, not candied and not too tart. Then the orchid and musk come out and mingle with pineapple, turning this into a sexy tropical dream! Maybe the amber is giving it the touch of creaminess? I'm not really sure, sometimes certain ambers can go funny on me, but this one seems to be working with my chemistry. Another winner!
  8. Oh my, this one is delicious!! It starts out very coconut forward, maybe a touch of vanilla and musk, but no pink or sandalwood. At this point, it is reminding me of an essence oil I bought in the 80's at a head shop in Europe. There was about a hundred different ones, in little brown glass bottles, and the coconut one was one of my favorites! I am getting a FB, no doubt about that! After about an hour, the coconut backs off and the pink comes out and sweetens up the coconut and vanilla, and makes it smell like pink coconut cake. I'm still not getting much of the sandalwood, on me it is staying very light. Love it, love it, LOVE IT!!
  9. Thank you Mara and gang at LPMP, the sampler is amazing this month! OMG, I LOVE THE BAG, IT'S GORGEOUS!! And thank you for the extras, especially the LP O, how did you know??
  10. Sadly no, just me. I got a PO box because there was a problem a few years back in my neighborhood with thefts of packages, so I know it's safe and in air conditioning, and not baking on my porch all day. So at least I don't have to worry, but the anticipation is killing me!
  11. Mine is here, too bad it's locked up at the closed PO, and I gotta work late all week! No chance of me sneaking away early either, boo. C'mon, Friday!! I'm going to go read some reviews now....
  12. A very lush, green fragrance, with the suggestion of being floral. It's heady and full, like a garden at the height of summertime. Nice!
  13. Mmmmm, lemon cake!! A delicious, lemon cake drizzled with a light pink icing, the kind you whip up with powdered sugar and a little juice, as oppposed to the super-sweet thick buttercream frosting. I really like how this starts out a yummy bakery treat, then becomes this wonderful vanilla, deepened by the nicest, most unobtrusive patchouly I've ever smelled. I really like this! I *thought* I had a sample of LP Original to compare this to, now I can't find it?! I'll have to make sure I order a sample in my next order.
  14. When I first received this, it was all, "KAPOW!! LEATHA In Yo FACE!!!" Now trying it, instead of being LEATHER, it it more of a softer, sugar kissed worn leather. My skin is still amping it, and when the leather chills a little after five hours, the cedar and tobacco peek out a bit. I can *almost* smell the tonka and spices, but something is going vinegar-y on me in the late drydown. I'm curious how this will age, so I will hang on to my sample.
  15. To my nose, this is so much like Honeyed LP, but maybe with a little pinch more cinnamon. And like Honeyed LP, it is very fruit and honey forward, and I can't get my brain to stop thinking of the herbal fruit tea I used to drink all the time! I find this to be more tea-like than Ceremony, crazy, huh? I don't think this will be a FB purchase for me, more for everyone else.
  16. Sniffed out of the vial, this reminded me of some yummy cappuccino chocolate truffles I had at Christmas. On the skin, the sprinkle of cinnamon is there on the top resting on a nice fluffy pile of whipped cream lightly drizzled with caramel, with the creamy coffee underneath. An amazing, almost 3-D experience. When I close my eyes and sniff my wrist, I almost expect to get whipped cream on my nose, haha! In the late drydown, the cinnamon, caramel, and whipped cream fade,(just like if you were drinking a real one!) but the smooth coffee remains, and doesn't morph much after that. Absolutely delicious.
  17. Lol tyvey, I have to agree with you on this one, *sigh*. I was puttering around in my kitchen and caught a whiff of burning paper and started freaking out thinking that I had left the stove on! Then I realized it was me. I amped the woodsmoke so much, I'm surprised I didn't set off the smoke detectors.
  18. I was a little hesitant to try this one based on the reviews that the melon is strong, because I really don't care for melon. I don't enjoy eating them, I don't enjoy smelling them, and when cucumber melon bath & body products were all the rage a few years back and everyone used to douse themselves with them, it just killed it for me as far as melon scents go. So I was pleasantly surprised that I actually like this! I get more of the coconut cream and vanilla, with a nice, understated melon that doesn't veer into cloying. In the late drydown, I'm getting a touch of the magnolia, very light mingling with the vanilla, coconut, and fruit, and just the barest suggestion of honey and patchouli. Very nice! A melon scent I can definitely do!
  19. Ooohh, I like this one, too! I've had a problem with tea scents in the past, they always amp into outer space on me, but this one is just the opposite. It is a light, sheer, clean scent, the "clean", that must be the willow? I will let this rest for a little while, because it is so light and airy, it just floated away from my skin till I couldn't smell it anymore.
  20. My eyes rolled back in my head when I first smelled this. Dark, rich, mouthwatering chocolate. But what I'm smelling in the vial is not what my skin has in mind with this one. The slight sweetness evaporated along with the chocolate, and it started to smell soapy, now my skin is doing the same thing it did to Allumette, smells like sulphur and soap. I hate skin chemistry!! I am definitely trying this with a scent locket, because the chocolate is that good.
  21. MMMMM!!! SOOO GOOOOD!!! Right out of the vial, I getting a fluffy, creamy lime chiffon pie! Then after about five minutes, the lime backs off and allows the black raspberry to say, "HIYA!!!" The black raspberry is all I can smell, and that is not a complaint, it's yummy! It's reminding me of Raspberry Chiffon a little bit at this point, I'm not getting a cupcake impression at all. Just black raspberry fruity goodness. I love it!
  22. I just got my sampler today, and this was the first one I reached for. I just love the white amber/musk/powdered sugar combo, it always works beautifully on my skin. This is like the love-child of LP White and Gypsum White, I can smell elements of both. Gypsum was super loud on me, and something in it stabbed me in my third eye. but not this. Soft, breezy and feminine, gorgeous label, (my favorite one!) and one of my favorite pheros. No-brainer full bottle!
  23. So glad I've a sampler coming! It's true, you just never know what you're gonna like, *so* excited now!!
