  1. Sadly, the patchouli eventually amped up and everything else disappeared, so I've added this to my trading post
  2. Holy crap, it may be too early to say for sure, but I might love this! And I really didn't exect to, because it has patchouli in it, which normally becomes overwhelming on me. But in this one, it seems to be staying put in the background. It reminds me a little bit of LP original in the vial. It is changing on my skin, but so far it is on a good way.
  3. I just compared this to the old Sexology, which didn't quite work for me (it was just a bit too dirty). But this one smells just slightly different. The honey note seems juicier and more clear and crisp. I like this new one quite a bit!
  4. Wow. This is definitely the most interesting and complex fragrance in this month's collection. And it reminds me of something, what I can't put my finger on it, but it is trying to connect *strongly* to some obscure, long-forgotten memory in my brain. Right now I'm just sniffing it from the vial. I'm afraid of putting it on, because if it changes on dry down and/or on my skin, it might disrupt this nostalgic feeling that is getting dredged up.
  5. Out of the vial, something minty popped out at me -- I guess the ginger maybe? Anyway, this is really soft, sweet and nice. I just slathered some on both wrists and it is quite light.
  6. Just got my package and this is the first thing I had to try! Right out of the sprayer it was very very pink. On my skin, it changed though, almost immediately the spice notes started amping up (as I feared). It has dried down about 10 mins and to my nose it smells just like LP Pink, which I have an ongoing love/hate relationship with. In any case, this is really nice but I'm undecided as to whether it will work for me. I anticipate the husband telling me it's "hippie" (what he calls anything with an incensey kind of note to it)

    Honey Ho

I tried this again last night after not using it for a long time. Again, right out of the bottle it reminded me of honeyed seductions (one of my first LP purchases and regrettably one I traded away). And so I remembered why I haven't used this in so long. It starts losing the honey and turning to a soapy smell almost instantly: honey, honey, soapy honey, honey soap, soap, soap, soap. :-( Sugared honeycomb, pherogirl, and a number of other honey-based scents don't tend to do this. Baby powder sometimes, but not soap.
  8. I just got my notice, Hurray! Monthly sampler and some BLATANT INVITATION beta spray on the way. Can't wait!
  9. I'm hoping this will be along the same lines as Captivation Equation. I hope that the spices are very light and don't amp on my skin (as spicy notes often do).
  10. I just ordered the women's sampler set. I haven't been able to try many new scents lately. Very excited!
  11. The "betas" are LP's test line of alcohol-based sprays. The are relatively new; previous to their introduction all the LP pheros were oil based, which lasts a long time but gives less silage. The betas are available in alcohol only base or the 60/40 base I mentioned. You can get any unscented phero, phero-enhanced perfume, or plain perfume as a beta spray.
  12. Welcome, somethingsweet! I love pheros too, but I'm not sure I could put them above makeup and shoes. Equal maybe...lol! I would recommend trying one of the beta sprays if you like IS/A. they are in a base of 60% alcohol and 40% oil and they have the throw of alcohol sprays plus the staying power of oils. You just have to be careful about not spraying too much on your hair or clothing. You can get the sprays unscented or lightly scented with any LP perfume.

    Fallen Angel

Ooh, would you mind sharing your recipe for hair mist?
  14. This smells really marvelous wet -- very juicy honey, the strawberry is there but not overbearing, somehow I'm getting vanilla even though I'm pretty sure there is none in it. Unfortunately, after a few hours it turned on me, sort of plastic-y. I'm reluctantly putting it up on my swap page. Might try it again tomorrow but I'm pretty sure its just clashing with my chemistry. Hopefully this can find a new home because its fabulous.

    Mellonia's Secret

Okay, fully dried down I"m not getting any of the lemon, now it smells a quite a bit like sugared apricot. How strange. Also the naughtiness factor has gone up a notch or two as it has melded with my skin
  16. This smells really familiar...like sultry afternoon, maybe? Anyway it is a very soft sweet fruity floral. Very nice.
  17. This was really amazing wet but my skin just ate it up.

    Mellonia's Secret

Mellonia's Secret Mellonia walks the fields, a swarm of bees following the irresistible scent of her sweetness. She smiles...one might wonder why she smiles…and her secret is known only to those worthy enough to taste her golden pleasures... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Magickal Meanings of Ingredients: FIG ~ Wisdom, fertility, love, luck, protection, aids restful sleep, divination, feminine sexuality. PRALINE ~ Feminine pleasure and lust, love, fertility, money, employment, luck. APRICOT ~ Love, romance, passion, femininity. HONEY, HONEYCOMB ~ Enticing, seductive, use to bewitch a straying or love, happiness, fulfillment. VANILLA ~ Aphrodisiac, inspires happiness, playfulness, sexual arousal, lust, vitalizing, nurturing, opens up feelings of love & trust. MAPLE SUGAR ~ Love attraction, longevity, attracts love, luck, sweetness and riches, lust inducing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I'm surprised this one doesn't already have its own thread. This scent is very nice and different from most of the honey-based scents I have. I have intentionally not looked back at the description to see what notes are supposed to be in it, so as not to bias my description. Wet, this smells like light juicy honey with significant notes of lemon. As it dries, I'm also getting what smells like a bit of amber and something floral. But not too floral, as I generally don't go for floral but I'm going for this. My take on this is that it is sensual, but not what I would call naughty. It is very summery. I can see wearing it on a sunny day but I'm having difficulty imagining it as evening wear.
  19. Darn! I just knew my order would be waiting on me when I got home from work but it was not. Tomorrow....
  20. Given that everyone will be very distraught and even more prone to irrational behavior than normal, I would say no to the alpha chemistry and yes to anything likely to invoke calmer emotions.
  21. Hair -- I do apply LP scents and pheros to the nape of my neck. I flip my hair alot so it wafts :-). I have to be careful though because I generally only wash my hair every other day, and the oil based or 60/40 sprays will make the underneath of my hair look oily if I get carried away. I apply oil-based scents (no pheros) to my hair in small amounts. I spray alcohol based pheros in my hair only if there are no cops in the mix. Armpits -- I haven't done this. As I understand, one of the major odors in B.O. is basically caused by the bacterial breakdown of androstenone. I do, however, roll pheros on the outer sides of my breasts near the armpits. Someone here suggested this; can't remember who. There should be body heat to disperse, but hopefully less bacteria to make stinky.
  22. X2 I just ordered a bottle of this! It also layers really well with OCCO white. I plan on refilling my sample sized spray bottle from the big one so I can carry this around in my purse. A general comment about the 60/40 base. You have to be careful with it because although it seems very light going on, it is an oil spray. I've gotten it on my clothing several times. I've also tried spraying one or two sprays on the nape of my neck but it makes my hair too oily.
  23. Kovvy, this is the way I understand Androtics MX's and P's. The Androtics P's are putatives -- experimental molecules that may or may not be pheromones. Their identity is proprietary. They are marketed mostly to people who want to test them and report their experiences on their forum. Generally the only information is whatever anecdotal reports come from that source. Dosing is also mostly unknown, and comes from people reporting how many dosed sprays they use. Importantly, they have not been the subject of any scientific studies or controlled clinical trials so whatever you read about them you should consider the source. The MX's are proprietary mixtures of known pheromones. They may also contain putatives, but I get the idea that they contain at least some known pheros. However, the mixtures are again untested save the anecdotal forum reports, and they are sold for testing purposes. The Androtics standard consumer products (ammo, instant shine, instant sexiness, etc) are supposed to have been through much more consumer testing so the effects are better known. Except they are still experimenting and changing the formulas in some so you have to consider that too. Hope this helps.
  24. I have a sample of this coming. It sounds wonderful - can't wait to try it. I love vanilla so I hope it doesn't completely disappear on drydown.
