This one caught my attention also. And I have also been hoping a sniffie might show up with one of my orders...

I've done that before. Its a good way to use sniffies and trial vials. To me, though, the neroli is very light and I can barely smell it after dry down. So at least by my perception I don't have to worry too much about whether it blends or clashes with a particular scent. Hotness personified really blends well with their choclatini.

I really, really want some OCCO or NOCO red. And white.

Different people have significantly different olfaction abilities and perceptions. Androstenone smells like nothing to me in the concentrations used in men's products, but others smell urine or body odor. Est does not have a smell to me, nor does betanol. Personally, I suspect musk and civit notes for quite a bit of the "urine" comments I hear about. My husband has told me I smell like cat piss when wearing scented sexology, and someone else was sniffing the air once and commenting about urine smells when I was wearing scented cougar (the first one). I don't smell this at all, but bacchanalia totally smells like cat urine to me, so maybe its a concentration thing and I just have a higher threshold than other people. I have never gotten any comments when wearing est and betanol with a musk-free perfume cover. Anyway, I've developed a fear of wearing anything with any musk in it.

What I have read about on the Androtics page was specifically androstenone build up, which is reported to be a "sticky" molecule. But I think this would be more of a problem with men's products that are very high in nones; women's mixes usually contain much smaller amounts. Copulins are supposed to be sticky too, thus the recommendations not to put them on hair or clothing. I would think these would be the two to worry about, because in the wrong concentrations they really stink to some people. I'm only repeating what I've heard from what I would consider reputable postings. Personally, I never smell copulins on me the day after I apply them (certainly not after I've taken a bath), and I am apparently one of the people who does NOT smell androstenone as urine or body odor smell.

Hmm....I tried this one last night. It is heavenly in the vial, but on me the foody parts just seemed to get eaten up by my skin and the floral component turned soapy. I will definitely try this one again though, because it smells so good wet.

Why isn't everyone raving over this one? Its amazing! It starts out vanilla cake on me, and then gradually melts into some kind of juicy deliciousness, maybe like fruity syrup that is left on the plate after the syrup-soaked cake is eaten. I was in love with myself all day.

Nope, I either have #1 or #2. And you all will be happy to know that I've accepted LP Pink for what it is, patchouli and all. I actually quite like all the LPs, its just that the patchouli tends to amp, either that or the other components get eaten up. But this doesn't happen with LP Pink.

Sooooo....It jumped out at me today. I think. The patchouli (?) in LP Pink. I have been using this all year, totally in love with it, and never detected it. I thought my nose was some kind of super duper patchouli sniffer, but apparently not. All was bliss until someone in another thread a while back mentioned that all the LP special editions have a base that includes patchouli. Huh, I thought, it must be a really micro amount in LP Pink. And I forgot about that thread, until a couple of weeks later when I reached for LP Pink and rolled on a generous amount. Holy crap, there it was? Or am I imagining it? I can't believe I couldn't detect it before. It now seems so obvious. Now, I am not a fan of patchouli and it seems like my skin amps it waayyy up. I still like LP Pink, I think. I'm not sure. No, I still like it, its just different now. I feel a little foolish, like the picky kid that digs into dinner and is liking it until someone tells her there are onions in it (or broccoli, or whatever), then suddenly she doesn't like it anymore, when 5 minutes ago she was wolfing it down. I'm just smelling it totally differently than I did before. Olfaction is is a very strange thing sometimes.

Oh no, that isn't necessary at all! Its my own airheadedness! Your instructions were perfectly clear. I don't think I ruined the perfume, it is just super sexy now, that's all. Plus I do have a feeling it will meld.

Thanks for this advice, Mara! Unfortunately...I'm an idiot. I guess. I read your post in its entirety, but then this morning found myself "following instructions" by going straight for the 22 drop maximum in a full bottle of rocket chick. Not testing 10 drops, not testing it in a smaller container ....argh ...stupid...stupid...stupid. Why? I don't know. Okay, so now its a bit strong, and I'm getting some bleed through an hour after dry down. Is it possible that the perfume and EoW will meld a little better in a few days? (I inverted the bottle many times before I tried it, so it was at least mixed).

I don't use EoW straight up because its so tricky to cover. My suggestion would be to just get some Pherogirl or one of OCCO scented cops. I never smell anything unpleasant in using these pre-blended mixes. Perhaps you could trade the EoW for something on the trading post forum.

I love this! I got it boosted with sexology and EoW. I have been wearing it all week.

LP Pink 2009 is everything Aquolina Pink Sugar only dreams of being....unfortunately it is sold out...

I love the smell of LP original, LP red, and LP + BI either in the bottle or wet on my skin, but as soon as they dry on my skin the patchouli starts amping up, and within 15 mins to an hour it is all I smell. Believe me, I tried hard to make these work, especially LP red. I have LP summer solstice 2008 that I haven't actually tried. I just put some on. I detect no patchouli yet but it just dried. I can detect no patchouli in LP pink 2009, which is one of my favorite perfumes.

Oh noes!! Really? I had such high hopes for this one. Patchouli isn't in the description. I can't wear anything with even a tich of patchouli.

I just got a sample of this and I like it. Am I the only one that thinks this is reminiscent of honeyed seductions?

Arg, I sort of hate reading these kinds of reports, because then I start worrying about how many people I may be offending with phero products. People who may smell things differently than me. Dried down cops with cover scents smell good to me -- sexy and earthy. Or really, even before dry down the LP scented cop products are not offensive to me at all. Apparently I don't really smell androstenol either, or even androstenone. I just have an ongoing sense of uneasiness worrying about whether I smell bad to 1 out of 10 people I meet.

I like instant shine and generally just spray it on top of whatever else I'm wearing. I have never really been offended by the neroli scent. It seems pretty neutral to me. The few comments I've gotten from others is that it smells "fresh" and pleasant. It is easily covered by whatever LP I'm wearing that day. At least to my nose. I have never mixed it with any perfume oils though.
