  1. I slathered mine on at work as soon as it arrived and I got non-stop compliments on it. I don't get much vanilla, I get a lot of the fermented alcohol and it reminds me of "MIssissippi Moon" and it's swamp water note, which is a GOOD thing. I'm putting it away for a bit to let it settle after traveling and I hope the vanilla comes out to play then!
  2. Mangel wurzel is in the beet family and has a few beet nicknames! I'm so sad now. Maybe Mara can someday brew up a beet pollen LP. In the meantime I'll have to console myself with a new bottle of Ebil-ish. ?
  3. Mangelwurzel - wowza. I always hoped for a potion with beet after reading Jitterbug Perfume. “The beet is the most intense of vegetables. The radish, admittedly, is more feverish, but the fire of the radish is a cold fire, the fire of discontent not of passion. Tomatoes are lusty enough, yet there runs through tomatoes an undercurrent of frivolity. Beets are deadly serious. Slavic peoples get their physical characteristics from potatoes, their smoldering inquietude from radishes, their seriousness from beets. The beet is the melancholy vegetable, the one most willing to suffer. You can't squeeze blood out of a turnip... The beet is the murderer returned to the scene of the crime. The beet is what happens when the cherry finishes with the carrot. The beet is the ancient ancestor of the autumn moon, bearded, buried, all but fossilized; the dark green sails of the grounded moon-boat stitched with veins of primordial plasma; the kite string that once connected the moon to the Earth now a muddy whisker drilling desperately for rubies. The beet was Rasputin's favorite vegetable. You could see it in his eyes.” ― Tom Robbins, Jitterbug Perfume
  4. Soul Food rebrew Woot!!! I can't wait to get my hands on some Ebil-ish, it will be my first time. If these don't exist then they really should: Espiritual - lily, white musk, black currant, raspberry, amber Rain Flower - alyssum, geranium, chrysanthemum, aloe, teakwood, musk, ylang ylang, water accord Gravenstein - apple, earth, oud, tobacco, woods, spice Elume - vanilla, orchid, honey, amber, myrrh, sandalwood (although I would adore something similar without sandalwood because my skin amps it like you can't believe - a good 24 hours and all I can smell is sandalwood with most LP's) The labels absolutely do not disappoint! Excellent Weenie picks!
  5. Is anyone else already wondering about Weenies??!!?
  6. I got this in a trade and I am heartbroken that it's sold out! I love it! It's feminine enough with the oud and orchid that I feel like a woman wearing it, while the tobacco and and vanilla round it out and deepen it enough that it melds into my skin and doesn't stand out as being "girly", which is important to me for a work scent. I'm usually the only female on an entire site and I like my scents to be more 'grounded' than 'heady'. PM seems to work great as a social for me and not attract unwanted attention. If there is ever a rebrew of this I will hoard this like it's my job.
  7. I emailed - I'm keeping my fingers crossed this means I might be able to buy a few more to hoard! This is my favorite scent EVER and I so so SO appreciate Mara and the LPMP crew helping me figure this out.
  8. The 2015 version - I've never gotten my hands on the original! It's probably best to email her and ask about it.
  9. Was there a rebrew of this? I have gone through 3 bottles so far, and what I loved about it was the orange blossom and how smutty and strong the honey and vanilla were on the drydown. I could smell it all day, and on my clothes forever. I got a bottle off the trade threads, and it smells very light, the apricot is strong and I hardly get anything else. The scent dissipates very quickly. I'm wondering if it was a later batch?
  10. I work a hot and sweaty manual labor job, so my scents amp like crazy at work! I like to swipe my neck, and back. I don't do a lollipop on the torso anymore. I've found this works great without phero- and scent-bombing myself or my co-workers.
  11. I spritz it in my hair and the back of my neck where my honey likes to huff, never any comments or complaints about the cops.
  12. Right? Thank you! It probably didn't hurt that he had come up behind me and huffed my neck for a minute before we started talking. When he looked me in the eye and said, "I hear you", I felt floored because I could feel it, I knew he did. The solution we came up with for the issue called me out to step up a little as far as what I contribute, and I feel the blend helped soften me up and ease the fear of what I needed to commit to as well.
  13. This stuff may have just saved my relationship...! My partner and I have been going at it every few days ever since we moved in together. This morning we had another round and I was at my wit's end. I rushed to pick up my package with my Pherotine vial so I would have it before he arrived home, because it was come to Jesus time and if we couldn't work this out I was going to be done. So...a few drops on each wrist, behind the neck, and a spritz of highly diluted spray to the hair and I was off to our back patio to greet him. First I noticed, I felt truly happy to see him. The dread and anger had dissipated. We made chit chat for a minute and then the stuff from the morning came up. At first it was him being defensive and prickly, then he sat across from me, and began to really *listen* to me, then open up to me, and I in turn really listened to him without feeling defensive. We sorted out what the 'real' problem was and arrived at a solution that made us both feel happy and pleased and more hopeful about our future together. I feel grateful - I was hoping he would respond well to this because he responds AMAZINGLY to Heart and Soul. I love this blend and am going to go FB as soon as I can!
  14. My boyfriend smokes and I can promise you he responds like crazy to Gotcha!
  15. I would try it at different times in my cycle, and maybe a few months down the road. Treasured Hearts was my go-to blend until I started going through some personal stuff, then it seemed to exacerbate the lonely feelings and made me break down and weep whenever I wore it. Now things are better in my life, TH doesn't have that effect. SS4W is a super happy blend the week after my period and maybe even 2 weeks out, bUT just before and during it makes me feel scattered and disjointed.
  16. I got a sample of this with my Pherotine order and bow I totally want to go FB. I walked in and 2 people looked up, heads snapping, and asked "WHAT SMELLS SO GOOD? Is that you?" One of the men said, "I better stay away from you and keep myself an honorable man." (Haha thank you TMI) I have a flirty relationship with most of the men I work with, but never with this particular one. I also was invited to hang out upstairs in the big office just so they could hang out and chat and smell me. That's never happened before. I get mostly vanilla musk on this, I love it.
  17. I love Gotcha! - but - I've found that I end up feeling bonded way too fast with a man if I start off with that. I like Cougar or Open Windows, for a relaxed easygoing vibe. The older I get the less interested I feel in SUPER INTENSITY, ha, and just want to feel relaxed and at ease.
  18. I melt my tarts in either silicone or parchment cupcake liners. No muss, no fuss.
  19. I'm feening for something with orange blossom or amber and tonka bean! And yes I'm totally excited - I've been saving up and resisting a lot of purchases so I can splurge for Pherotine.
  20. I pulled this out again yesterday since I was working a big event. For whatever reason, I didn't feel all that into wearing the almond BUT, the MLH selfies were surprising. I was in a terrific mood, very animated and had several giggle fits! It's what I expected to feel with Levitation/DHEAS. I'm liking this and will probably try it again as a social in the future.
  21. I don't know if I've changed or if FP has aged and changed, but what used to smell plasticky now smells like fluffy marshmallow. I wish the ylang was a little stronger, I am considering buying some to layer because I love ylang so hard. At any rate, I do love this now. It feels light and fluffy and happy. I wore this to work today, amped with a stripe of Open Windows, and one of the men I've been working with a while got super relaxed and reached out to hug me. He said, "I like Rain, she's okay with hugging sweaty guys." I laughed and said that if I didn't like sweaty men, I was totally in the wrong business, then later he just came and hugged me goodbye like we were old friends and had been doing this forever, very natural.
  22. This is NOT his usual behavior, it was way out of the ordinary and he knew it and it was making him way nervous. I went back to SWS today.
  23. Hahaha ok not going to wear this to work. Apparently it has an effect on gay men and one of the men I was working with COULD NOT keep his hands off of me, he was extremely touchy-feely. In the truck on the way back to the shop, he tried to curl up on me and sleep.
  24. Ohhh, LOVE the cosmic theme! I can't wait to see the notes! I'm an Aquarius who grew up with that song and I'm hoping against hope the notes will work for me!!
  25. I pulled this out for the first time since I received it because of the recent discussion. I have fallen Even More in Love. This is such an elegant, elegant fragrance. I can't pick out any one note, it's one smooth blend that I can't stop huffing. I'm going to try this at work next week, see how the guys react.
