  1. I find this one unisex (strictly scent-wise, not counting the phero), but in a different way than usual. It's both masculine and feminine at the same time. The overall scent I find on the more feminine side of unisex, but the oak note itself is reading really masculine on me. It's like they're competing with each other. I think with aging, though, that will soften and blend more. In fact, I think it's going to age beautifully, and won't be at it's best for at least a year or two. The oak and vanilla are combining in a way that's vaguely reminiscent of tobacco. Not tobacco, but sort of next door to tobacco. The vanilla itself is more a sweetness and doesn't announce itself as vanilla the way it might in a foodie scent. After a couple of hours, I get some of the sandalwood coming through. The spice is there, but it's definitely in the background. More as a backup singer. The oak and vanilla are the stars of the show. To compare to Buddy Beaux, I find this one doesn't have as many deeper notes and is a bit sweeter. Not sweet, but sweeter. I think that's why Bosom Bows is reading more feminine to me, even with that strong oak note. The spice in Bosom Bows is also less prominent to me. The oak in Buddy Beaux blends a little more with all of the other things it has going on, and the amber gives it more heft and complexity.
  2. I definitely use Sexpionage as a social sometimes. I find that for me it works well as a social if I use it in something like this, where it's a phero enhanced perfume. That way you're not getting the full UN strength. I'll often use a short strip of a sexpionage phero enhanced perfume on my torso. Just an inch or two. Like some of the comments above, I notice it makes people chatty and giggly. I think sexpionage, at least in small doses, tends to make people more approachable. I seem to be pretty unapproachable when I'm not in pheros. (It's not at all intentional. I'm nice! Really! My shyness just unfortunately reads as guarded aloofness.) So, with a wee bit of sexpionage on, I become friendly-levels of approachable. For someone who is naturally more approachable, adding that extra bit may be too much, leading to more negative experiences. I suspect your base level of approachability impacts how it works for you. (At least that's my theory.) Everyone has really different experiences, though, so experimenting is a good idea. And to keep things more on topic for this thread, I found that this version of Blud was more resin-y on me. It wasn't quite as apple forward as the first one.
  3. I've only worn this once so far, but since there aren't any other reviews, yet, I'd thought I'd give my first impressions. This goes on very honeysuckle. It's a bright floral, sheer-ish but not at all quiet. This is more of a summer floral than a spring one. A casual summer garden party with lots of sundresses and some straw hats. It's all sunny and yellow. Not necessarily the scent, but the vibe reminds me a lot of the perfume Sunflowers, which was so popular in the 90s. (I wore it a lot.) It's friendly and extroverted. The hedione adds just a bit of airy coolness to it, like you have a paper fan at that garden party.
  4. I have a question for anyone who has tried it or knows more about it than I do. How long do the cops take to dry down in a solid perfume? In the other Occos and pheros with cops, I usually wait at least 10 minutes before I let clothes touch the application area. How does this compare?
  5. Finally made my order. Got a bunch of trials and a few un pherotines. I also went bold and got 4 full bottles unsniffed: Vienen, since it's un-remakeable, LP: Pink Lace, since I love both Pink and Red lps, a virgin Hot Cherry, since I had been intrigued by it last time it came out, and Shafiqa, since the Sugared Majmua is amazing, but I only have a small bottle of it, so I'm hoping this will be similar.
  6. This is a good example of a scent that is soft, but not at all work appropriate. It's silky and powdery, but it's a soft powdery, not in an overbearing, oakmoss baby powder way. Just like a sexy powder puff fragrance dusting way. A hint of soapiness, like Sneaky Clean's sexier cousin. It's a silk robe of a scent. Lightly perfumey and gently floral. The essence of the word boudoir. A few hours in as the base notes come out more, it becomes slightly richer and darker and the soapiness lessens. It's a seductive scent, and a scent for seducing.
  7. This goes on very blue. I get a hint of something almost medicinal in the background for the first 10-15 minutes, but it goes away after that and isn't ever that prominent. Starting out, it's a very fresh pressed blueberry and blueberry wine. Then, as it dries, it becomes more of a whole blueberry and gets sweeter. It stays a nice, sweet blueberry at that point. It's just a happy, summery scent, and I'm very glad (berry glad) I got a bottle.
  8. On my skin, Aja goes straight honey. Not necessarily a dirty sexy honey, but definitely not an innocent one either. So, in combination with the notes, this is very honey forward on me. From the blast of honey on application, all the way through the longest of the drydown, it stays a honey scent. The floral is underneath there the whole time, but playing a supporting role. The floral is backing up the honey and giving it dimension. During the first hour, the floral gets a little stronger while still remaining in the background, but then becomes subsumed back into the honey. Normally, I'm not a big fan of carnation. It tends to go too peppery for my tastes, but not here. I'm not sure I'm even reading it as carnation specifically, more just a fresh mid weight floral. That spiciness carnation sometimes has doesn't ever take control. AS for the other notes, they're very secretive. I can smell them in the crook of my elbow, but it's something you have to get close to find. Which makes me feel kind of like I'm wearing two perfumes, one for the world, and one just for me. The carnation had me reluctant, but I like this much more than I expected to. It's surprisingly subtle for something that's screaming honey. (But I really like honey scents.)
  9. Wanted to be sure you saw this @Potion Master It will probably be a couple of days before I send in an invoice request, but this will definitely be on it. Don't want to miss my chance.
  10. Oooo, these look great. I'm excited about several and can't wait to read notes! Can I reserve one of the virgin Hot Cherry bottles, please?
  11. I agree that this is more floral than fruity. To start, I get a bit of apple up front, but then it's mostly floral. Then something reading a bit herbal. Next, I get a background that's sort of lotion-y. In a way that reminds me of both oil of olay and Oleander the Great. I can't really describe it and I'm not sure what it is, since they don't look like they share any notes. *shrug* That's not the main note. The main aspect is still floral throughout the wear, this is just something underlying it. A lotion-y floral, if you will. That sounds strange, but I do actually like it. It's a very spring scent. Reminiscent of those pastoral paintings. Green grass and fluffy sheep and a lounging shepherdess wearing lots of gauzy fabrics and one of those wide brimmed hats with the ribbon. It's a gentle scent, smooth and airy.
  12. Sometimes, you read the notes and think you'll like something, but it doesn't quite work on your skin. Other times, it turns out even better than expected. This is definitely the latter! I love this!! It's what I had hoped Kahve would be, but the coffee in that one disappeared almost immediately on my skin. This is all deep coffee and tobacco and spicy goodness. I love coffee scents. I like the sweet ones, but I especially love the ones that have rich depth and some nuance of bitter to complement the sweet. It's spicy, but not a baking spice, and not quite a dry spice. It's a dark, almost burnt spice. The dryness of the spice pairs with the slight dryness of the cocoa. But it's not overly dry, just enough to not be too sweet of a chocolate. I keeping with the not too sweet, I'm also getting unsweetened coffee and some delightful bitterness. There's also something that reminds me a bit of a campfire. If I can ever remember, I think I'd like to try layering it with Ash. I think it would also be good paired with a sweet scent. It's a dark scent. Like when things are burnt on the edges. (In a good way.) I get a very 90s independent coffee shop vibe. You know the kind that had its own library and there was always a college student in the corner reading philosophy and smoking. As it wears over the course of hours, the spice dies down a little, but the scent still remains deeply rich and nicely textured. (In my notes, I wrote that it has the texture of bark, but even I don't know what that means, lol.) I already went full bottle, and am thinking about a second.
  13. I see how this could be unisex, but it leans heavily masculine on me. I'm getting woodsy, but with a kick. Nice and rich. The spices are very much in the vein of men's cologne spices. The spices aren't dry, but rich and sort of gummy(?), which sounds weird, but I'm not sure how else to describe it. I also get a rich sweetness, which I think is the alcohol notes. It makes me think of a shot of the good alcohol to warm someone up when they come in out of the cold, with the smell of outside still on them. I noticed I amp black pepper in some scents, and this is one of them. It's sort of tingly in my nose, like when you breathe in too much pepper and it makes you sneeze. I get that pre-sneeze feeling. The pepper is a bit too strong for me, and I think is part of what's making it read so masculine on my skin. It adds some peppiness to the scent, though, which could be good if you needed something to keep you feeling awake and alert. ( @Eve *fistbump* I have the same issue with patch and maple being their own category of problem notes. I have a bottle of Tara n Tula that I keep trying because it should be everything I love, but the maple kills it every time.)
  14. Pumpkin Dulce goes on sweet pumpkin, but almost immediately, the spices overtake that. Then proceeds to wear as sweetened spice. It reminds me of a pumpkin spiced simple syrup. Like what you might add to coffee. After 30-40 minutes, some of the milk/butter/cream notes come out, as well. I eventually get some of the pumpkin again, but after it has quieted down a lot. Despite the spice, it's not a particularly rich scent, making it seem more for daytime. The sweetness felt more sugar than caramel or other sticky sweetness. Since we're doing Lantern comparisons, here are my thoughts: It's much lighter than Lantern, and I also get less pumpkin. It's just as spicy, though, if not spicier. I find the spices much more noticeable due to less weight from the other notes. It has much less heft than Lantern. Less full, less rich. If pumpkin spices are the song, Pumpkin Dulce feels like a simple melody line, while Lantern feels like chords. (I'm not musical, so forgive me if that doesn't make sense.) Lantern is also a lot more "baked goods", whereas Pumpkin Dulce reads somewhat less straight-up gourmand on me. So, they're somewhat similar, but fill very different niches. Overall, it's strongly spiced, but lighter, less sticky, and more daytime than some of the previous pumpkin scents, but still in the pumpkin spice scent vein.
  15. The picture on the label is perfect because that sweater is how this perfume feels. The Cuddle Bunny is a good phero for it, too. It's very cuddly. It goes on as a very sweet peach, that's a little fuzzy. As it dries down, the floral starts to come out. A completely spring perfume. Flirty, in a coy way. I imagine it would also pair well with aja, adding another layer to the honey. Kanina Kanina isn't light or quiet, but it is delicate and bright. The fuzziness of the peach becomes clearer as it wears. It's a true fruity floral with an underlying crystalline quality. When first applied, the peach dominates. Then, the floral takes over. Eventually, they find balance and become equally strong. This lasts, too. At the 5 hour mark, it was still going, though had softened around the edges. I saw peach and got a bottle unsniffed and I am so glad I did.
  16. @RosesArePink @Eve My Creme Cake with cops arrived. Now I just have to wait a week. I will let y'all know how it turns out. I'm so bad at knowing what can handle cops. In my invoice, I made sure to ask if it could handle them. And, Eve, I loved your comparing the various scents from the new release in one place. There are always so many, it takes a while to get them sorted in my mind. Seeing so many of them together like that gives me a better sense of them. @Eastwood22 Yes, the Occos are great, but they definitely add an extra dimension. And sometimes, I don't want to have to think about what will pair well. And I love aja in scents, because it's like getting 2 for 1. The original scent and then, after it has faded, the aja continues to bloom and create a gorgeous honey scent. I'm lucky that aja plays nicely with my skin.
  17. I tried Blanco Crema out today, and it was not at all like I expected. For some reason (maybe the name), I was thinking it would be creamy in a milky way. Even though that's not in the notes, I had somehow gotten that idea stuck in my head. I was prepared for something akin to BBM. Obviously, I was very wrong. It is creamy, but not a dairy sort. I don't even get much cocoa butter. On me, this is a dark floral. Creamy and sensuous. Very fleshy. The floral is rich and has a spice to it. This is an evening scent. It's all low lights and jazz on a record player. Sexy in a Lauren Bacall way. There's an undertone of something masculine in this on me. Possibly the tonka? It's a slight rich sweetness that's hitting my nose the same way sweet tobacco or Elementary ch. 6 does, even though it doesn't have any of those notes. It's not the main part of the scent, just the background sort of wallpaper of it. Whatever it is, is adding depth and maturity to the scent. A layer of richness. Overall, though, the scent is a dusky, sensuous floral.
  18. Well, I went ahead and chose the Odalesse. I also added cops to the Creme Cake. It's such a subtly sexy scent, I figured it would go well. This way I have this one with cops and a bottle from last time without. I didn't want to have to layer it with an Occo and change the scent.
  19. This smells exactly like cherry bubblegum! It's amazing how Mara can do that. This really captures that gum scent. I find on my wrists, it's more cherry forward, whereas in the crook of my elbow, the currant comes out more. As with gum, the gum base lasts longer than the flavor, so after several hours, it's more of just a sweet, gum scent. Still nice, though. I imagine it would be easy to refresh the "flavor" with Sugared Cherries or Sugared Currant. This really lasts. Even 10 hours later, there was still a sweet, gum scent. I am very glad I got a fb unsniffed. This is such a fun fragrance that really brightens your day! As for the phero, this matches the bubble-blowing, gum smacking, fun loving carefree attitude of audacious perfectly.
  20. This is a good point. I think I'll get the Odalesse since it has fewer listed. And, as much as I like Beyla (if there's even any left), I think I'd rather have at least one bottle of one of the other ones, than 2 of something. I was testing Odalesse again today to help me decide, and I really do want a bottle of it. It's a soft enough fragrance that I can easily layer it with something if I want to add a touch of BI. That makes it a little more versatile than the Black Pearl, I think.
  21. I know I'll be getting the sampler and a fb of Creme Cake. It was the reason I got a bottle of FC: Oatmeal in the sale. Who knew I would enjoy smelling like oatmeal? But I can also do one more fb. I just have to decide which. I've narrowed it down to either Odalisse or LP: Black Pearl (the patch is loud in that, but not nearly as loud as regular LP: Black.) Maybe I should do a second bottle of Beyla, instead. Argh, decisions!!
  22. I've realized Remembrance sounds kind of like Marigold & Amaranth, which I loooooooooove. Love, love love! Love! (I'm a little bit allergic to chamomile, but I'm going to try it anyway to see if it's a level I can deal with. Sometimes I can and will wear them! I'm reminded of a friend I once had who was allergic to chocolate, but would sometimes eat it anyways because it was worth it. That's how I am with lpmps. Sometimes, it is worth it!)
  23. I was so excited to see them up! Loving the cheat sheets we've been getting. So helpful! Surprising myself, I think the one I'm most looking forward to trying is Sugar Skull.
  24. If it's a floral, I wonder if Remembrance could be poppy, like Remembrance Day? It is a red flower, though it doesn't look much like a poppy. And here I was thinking Hungry Souls was related to Soul Food. Very off base.
  25. So glad the Creme Cake is the same recipe! I got one bottle, but regretted not getting a second. Are the lemons on the Sugar Skull label a hint of the notes, or are they just there for the pretty?
