  1. Oh, yeah, in that case, I would probably go Dom or Leather for the perceived strength and also the self effects. On me, at least, I get a take-no-sh!# attitude when I wear it. It's a good way to help keep your resolve and steel that backbone.
  2. I think it depends on a couple of factors. Think about why they are doing what's they're doing and also how the state of the relationship will be after the admission. If they're lying to cover something up and you want them to admit the truth, you may want to lean towards TMI. Of course, you may make yourself more vulnerable to saying things, too, so you want to be prepared for that. If they're trying to make a power play, then something like Dom or Leather may be more in order. With Dom, you can take control and lay the metaphorical smackdown on them, but it may burn bridges that you're not ready to burn (or are ready to burn.) There's also how you've noticed a given phero makes other react to you. For example, LFN tends to turn me into a queen bee with other women, so if it was a woman, I might reach for that. If you want them to feel guilty and repentant, maybe Empathy Potion (though that makes me cry.) The more you can focus on the specific outcome you want, and the reason why they're behaving they way they are, the easier it is to chose a phero to set the scene. ETA: It's probably too late for whatever you needed the advice for, but just for future reference.
  3. The previous incarnation (Odalisque) did not work at all on me, so I was reluctant to try this one. Probably wouldn't have even gotten a trial if it wasn't part of the sampler set. I half heartedly put it on to get it out of the way, and WOW. This is why you try things on. Odalesque is fantastic on me. I think the big difference is the amber. It completely took over the earlier one, so without that making a racket on my skin, the other notes are able to shine. It's amazing how small changes can make such a difference. I get a dry, non-foody vanilla. It smells a bit dessert like, but not a thick, rich dessert, more of a dry, not too sweet one. Like biscotti, or something else you would dip in coffee. It's feminine, but without being overt about it. A subtle, but complex scent. I'm getting some smokiness, but I think that may just be because of how my skin reacts to the milk/butter/cream combo. Instead of turning to cigarettes like it sometimes does, it is lending a smokiness that is enhancing the scent. The creaminess is balancing out the dryness, so neither overpowers. I'm not getting the notes as individual notes so much as I'm getting the qualities that they are contributing to the overall impression. For example, the dryness of the sandalwood and the creaminess of the cocoa butter. It doesn't morph much, but stays really consistent. The only changes are a bit more creaminess and a hint of soapiness in the crook of my elbows. Odalesque is really great, and I finally get why everyone was raving so much about the earlier versions. I couldn't stop sniffing my wrists. A full bottle for sure.
  4. With the recent release of Odalesque, I thought I'd go back and write up my review for Odalisque for comparison's sake. The first wave is chocolate, but not a milk chocolate, more of a rich one, verging on bitter chocolate. There's an undercurrent of amber in the beginning, but within about 15 minutes, the amber completely takes over and goes sharp. After a couple of hours, the amber calms down a bit. Unfortunately, this was not a bottle for me due to the amber.
  5. The Stag stays very pine on me, but more in a natural tree way than an air freshener way. I start getting the sage, too. The combo gives it a sort of western mountains feel. It's very outdoorsy, like picking up a handful of ground cover and crushing it in your hands. After 10 to 15 minutes, the cedar joins in. There's something sort of cooling, like when Mara adds a drop of peppermint to get that winter feel. I guess it might be the pine? Idk, is pine cooling? 🤷‍♀️ Over several hours, it morphs from a fresher green scent to more of a woodchip scent. This definitely reads more masculine to me than unisex, though I think it would be interesting paired with something like Snowbound if you wanted to make it more feminine.
  6. Wore one of the masks today, and it was so comfortable. The adjustability of the elastic makes such a big difference. I was able to size it exactly to my face, neither too tight nor too loose.
  7. Magnolia is the first impression. Floral, fruity, and really pretty. It's a nice spring scent. Sarong feels like when everything is blooming and the sun is shining, but it's not hot, yet. There's a lushness to it. The juiciness keeps it from being too floral or too coconutty. It fades to a very quiet, not quite powdery floral that's mostly magnolia and coconut with a little bit of sandalwood underneath. It fades really quickly on me, which is the only drawback.
  8. There's a whiff in the beginning that almost reads as chocolate, but I'm not sure where that's coming from. Toujours Belle is thick and syrupy in a dark way, like molasses. This is sweeter than I anticipated, and the currant isn't as bright, but, by God, is it gorgeous. It's heavy, but not loud. It's languid and sensual. Thick and viscous. Not a daytime perfume. I feel sleepy and lazy wearing it, in a good way. Like the cat who ate the canary. After a while, the amber starts to warm it up and the currant comes out a bit more. It has aged so beautifully that I bought a second bottle.
  9. Wet, it is milk chocolate with the barest hint of the orange and blossoms reading floral. As it begins to dry down, they come out more along with the amber. The chocolate becomes more of a foundational note. There is a powderiness that makes it seem cottony. Within half an hour it is mostly amber, orange blossom, and myrrh. Chocolate always seems to amplify amber on me. It develops into a dry powderiness that is still kind of floral (that isn't the exact right word, but it's what I'll go with) with the chocolate mostly appearing as a light sweetness in the background. I don't really get any of the coffee at all.
  10. When wet, the cops are a little more obvious with this one over the others, so it needs a bit more care. It starts out sweet and candy like, then it becomes more buttery. The dry down is really subtle and not too sweet. Delicious. Here's where I'm going to come out of left field a little bit: I know guys sometimes wear a bit of cops to attract women. I think the butterscotch scent is unisex enough that, surprisingly, a guy could wear a smidge of this (or however much they wear) layered under another fragrance.
  11. Garland Latte is very spicy, with the coffee giving it some darkness. The spiciness is a sweet kind reminiscent of holiday baking. I also get a bit of smokiness, but I'm not sure where it's coming from. About 25 minutes after application, there is a sweet custard-iness that must be the eggnog. The spice eventually calms down and becomes more balanced with the other notes. The long, long drydown smells kind of like a pumpkin latte. The coffee is never a prominent note, though, but is always kind of hanging out in the background.
  12. Would it be possible to get a photo of the Frogs fabric?
  13. Bare Trap, LOL. I kind of want it just for the name alone. I cannot wait to get my hands on the candied apple LP! I'm really curious about the notes on some of these, especially Blue Fyre, The Stag, Rum Woody, Weenie Roast, and, of course, Bare Trap.
  14. A really unusual scent, and I mean that in the best way possible. When I first put it on the apple and chocolate are fighting for dominance, with the chocolate in a slight lead. The raspberry very occasionally peeks out. I'd describe it as fruity and chocolatey, but not red. It's sweet, but not too sweet. The chocolate isn't dry at all, but neither is it too sweet. The long, long, long drydown is sweetness and amber. Amber sometimes goes sharp on me, but not here.
  15. Baharat is spicy with a hint of something fresh underneath. It's not a holiday cooking kind of spice, more of a dry spice, but without being dry. I don't know if that makes any sense, lol. It's a soft spiciness. I'm not really a spice person, but I cannot stop sniffing this. There's a softness to it in general. I'm wondering if that impression is coming from the cotton, because for reason smelling this makes me thinks of lots of bolts of brightly colored fabric in an open market. In the crook of my elbows, it retains more of an herbal aspect. The long dry down turns to a slightly more masculine spice. I bought a virgin FB. Without the phero, it's on the masculine side, but still unisex.
  16. Are there going to be 'Weenies this year? I was just wondering because I'm thinking of ordering a couple of masks, but if there will be new releases in the next month or so, I will wait. Don't want to cost you extra paypal fees and shipping costs if I can help it. Not sure if this question is too soon. Hope you've had a chance for a breather after the sale.
  17. Thanks for the response. I'll wear some more masculine scents, but others are just too manly for me. Think I might get a trial of this and see how it goes.
  18. Is this one really masculine, or does it have the potential to be more unisex?
  19. I have a running wish list! It is on my computer. At home. Where I am not. 😭 Trying to remember what I want/don't have yet.
  20. Lol, literally my first note to myself said, "More perfumey than usual, but not in a bad way." So, more perfumey than usual, but not in a bad way. This is definitely not a daytime scent. It's rich, dark and sensual. If this was unphero'd, my first instinct would have been to pair it with Sexpionage or BI, but I understand why Leather was chosen. I'm not sure if it's the phero or the scent (probably both), but this has a sense of power. The woman who wears this is very collected. Never harried. I'mreminded of when a character in a movie is the head of an illegal organization. It shows them sitting in low light, tucked away in a corner booth, surrounded by heavies, with only an occasional nervous petitioner approaching. You know that power resides there and major deals are being done. This is the female version of that. Tantalizing, but also dangerous. I kept wanting to inhale deeply. There is a touch of powderiness, but it is in the background. More of an after effect. The sense of what lingers. It creates more of a smoky impression. Not so much baby powder. It's not a loud scent, but it is not in any way a timid scent. You have to own it. Hah, in both senses! I definitely plan to buy a bottle.
