  1. I'm in always sunny Hawaii, except it's very grey thanks to the volcano "vog." Sometimes I'm really not sure where the sun is in the sky. But it's hot and sticky so we're chilling at the pool between eating and working on a giant puzzle. Paradisi is perfect!!! I must've gotten a blast of hibiscus at first, because I first read it as a floral. I didn't look into the notes, just grabbed my trial, just by the name. Hanging around on a lounge chair, it's definitely melded with my skin. Like Halo, the grapefruit and Peach have become one, but it smells like a flower! Flower petals dusted with some kind of honey dust. I smell the tea now, but only because I was sniffing for it. This might be a FB for me, I'll have to test it on a day when I've bathed in something other than a chlorinated pool. I bet I look funny, sitting here, huffing my wrist. I''m never incognito once I leave the Bay Area because of my tattoos. Maybe they'll think I have scratch n sniff tats?
  2. This thread popped up for me because of Tyvey's last review. I'm laying by a pool in Hawaii, my kids are swimming, it's muggy but I'm laying down and going to try really hard to not do anything for a while. I read the notes, this is what I should be wearing! I went with Petals of Silk with LFM for the plane ride, so definitely feeling LFM. But I should be wearing these notes, pineapple, coconut, and ylang ylang, and where's that quiet little servant with the strong hands who's meant to be rubbing my feet?
  3. I'm so happy I was able to score his in a trade! And I get reference to Warm and Toasty, but this is so much better on me! This almost rivals Lick of Cream in my house, the holy grail of sexy butter.
  4. Just in case anyone reads this thread with a similar issue, it turns out that EST was the magical molecule to turn my ex from a grumpy jerky guy to a helpful and kind guy. I now wear mainly EST or Cuddle Bunny to deal with him.
  5. I forgot that this has LFM in it, and I forgot how lovely it is. I wore it last night with a bunch of DHEAS, and I had a great night. And LFM did that perfect thing (for me) where I had an air about me that kept strangers from talking to me. (I was in another city seeing a band and didn't want to talk to anyone new to me. The coolest thing was that only 4 people approached me all night, and two were very confident and funky women who were each at least 70 years old. (I have zero clue if they knew each other.) They both individually took a shine to me like we went way back and I really liked both of them, it was like they were both old enough and confident enough that they weren't shy at all. The other two were both handsome young men in their early 20's, who both individually approached me while I was sitting alone and working on my laptop. (During load in, soundcheck, and opening band.) I had a lot of work to do. But they both individually approached me then and after the show, both wanted to talk to me and both wanted to bring me water and/or snacks. The cuter one seemed really stoked that I agreed to let him bring me a bottle of water at the end of the night, and really wanted me to give him another assignment, like "go get me some cheese-it's" or something, but I sent him away. LFM is great for me, and so is this scent, I'm so glad I rediscovered it this weekend! Goes swimmingly well with Wicked, too.
  6. You know I love the sweet butter! But this is the only Buttery scent AND the only FairyCake I don't love on me, my skin turns these oats dusty. Very sad, because I had such high hopes! Good thing I have Buttered Caramel now. ?
  7. Nothing nutty to see here! I'd say that you made the right choice Saturday. Welcome to the world of "Is travel shock a real thing?" it is. My man likes to say "they can't possibly be shocked to have arrived here, surely this can't be all that surprising for them, so many of their friends are already here."
  8. Melisse, I'm sorry, my pets like the pheros. The last thing I want to do is annoy my cats, I try hard to avoid their disdain. My most standoffish cat loves SS4W.
  9. I have the spray, I love it, and Mara can make any magical thing you want! My understanding is that when it's "boosted" in a reg scent, it's 1000mcg's, pheroma's (offered as phero scent) are 333mcgs, the UN's are ALSO 1000mcg's. (thanks for correct info Halo!) But often times, less is more, and alcohol and oil diffuse differently. Here's a thread on phero mcg's with Mara's input. I like Nu-Trix's Mad Mixes & Combos Results thread. Also, let me quote Dolly directly here from her PHERO BASE TUTORIAL: "I see posts about how to compare the amount of pheros in a drop, swipe, or spray.....I am assuming this is because people want to duplicate results, regardless of the base used. This is NOT a valid comparison. Sprays diffuse in a totally different way than oils or silicones, and the alcohol/DPG spray blend adds yet another variable. Therefore, the comparison is like apples to oranges. I suggest that when you find a blend that works for you, if you try a new medium, start from SCRATCH with finding your sweet spot.....treat it as a totally new blend. Start slowly, with a tiny amount, and work your way up. As for the same base, but a new application METHOD, a little common sense goes a long way. Still start slowly.....one or two drops....and work your way up." I highly recommend you read both her entire Phero Base thread and her NEWBIES AND SEX BLENDS thread.
  10. Thankfully! I can't keep up as it is now.
  11. This is pretty, my man said so, and said I smelled clean, then dragged me off to the bedroom. I'm glad he likes it but it's not something I need to fix my nose on and breathe deeply over and over. I'm just not a clean floral gal, but LFM is a great phero and this is a pretty honeysuckle. It is kind of a relief to sample something new and not need to put it in my mental shopping cart!
  12. I had an experience a few months ago with a woman I have so much bad history that I couldn't possibly go into it on here, but it went strangely well, and it had to have been the Treasured Hearts. She had done that thing where she saw me and pretended she did not, I decided to just go say hello to get it over with. She did this weird hugging/crashing into me thing that I have not experienced before, and kept repeating "it is so good to see you" over and over and crashing into me/hugging me at the same time. Her happiness seemed genuine and authentic, and she is generally NOT a happy person. This was with Liebchen, and honestly, if you had Liebchen on and someone didn't want to be nice to you/get closer while you smell that good, they must be a sociopath, or at least a terrible person, so better to know straight away.
  13. Thanks Mara! I noticed today that I could edit again, I was able to add to a Liebchen post instead of making another one.
  14. Um, I think he thinks he likes hip hop. I don't let him listen to very much because he's 12 and I don't want him filling his brain with mysogonistic lyrics. Like, I know all the lyrics to Ol' Dirty Bastards "Got Your Money," but I sure don't want my kids to know them. When he was little, I rewrote all the lyrics to the Beastie Boys Paul Revere for a kid friendly version. But just yesterday, when I suggested that he leave the wiffle ball bat in the park for other kids to play with, he said something about "especially after what he did with it." If he comes upon a love for hip hop, it's not going to come from me, I'm pushing the Highway to Hell/Rock the Casbah angle, although he was singing Fleetwood Mac last week and he came upon that by himself.

    The Empress

Lainey gifted me a sample of this, and I LOVE it. If I had read the notes on it before sampling, I would not have put it on tonight. I have noticed that both Fairy Cake Oatmeal and Mother Goddess smell dusty once on my skin, so I thought I was done with that note. But no, this is heavenly. It's not a heavy cream scent, more of a cuddly sweet honey on me. If honey came straight out of a flower, this is what it would smell like. The spice adds some coziness, not heat. I have a necklace with the Empress card on it that I haven't worn for a while, this makes me want to bust it out. This is what a good mom should smell like to her kids, if she happened to be magickal and her kids always felt safe and nourished and protected. Sometimes I think about how my kids will remember me from their early childhood, I imagine they'll have more than a few memories of me either dancing or driving and singing loud and off-key, I'm cool with that. I was conversing with a deaf woman who comes to my meditation class, it's challenging for both of us in that I try to talk less than usual, I heavily rely on verbal instruction, and she doesn't have the tool of reading lips. She was telling me about how hearing aid technology improves about every five years, so every five years she gets to hear something she's never heard before. She remembers all her "firsts," like he first time she heard birds, sitting outside with her dad, and she thought her new hearing aid was malfunctioning. The very first thing she ever heard was her mom's voice, and they set it up so her mom was 5 feet behind her, and even though she had never heard it before, she just knew her mom's voice already because of the mother child connection. I told her about how I felt my grandmother recognized my smell, and I recognized hers, when her Alzheimer's had taken most everything else from her. We talked about scent and how most people don't consciously use it, she thinks people lose it, except for really big scent memories, like familial relations. I don't know if my kids will associate any particular scents with me, other than my son's lavender obsession, but who wouldn't want a mom that smelled like this? I think my goal in parenting is just to not fuck up too bad or too often, I think a lot could be forgiven if I always smelled this good. I did pair it with my MLH variant phero (extra DHEAS and ?), and I think my daughter was feeling it because she fell asleep holding me really really tight.
  16. Holy crap. My man's been bugging me for this one for months. During drydown, it's just okay, just kind of a clean green powdery thing for me. But once it's dry - wow. I'm so glad he pushed me on this one. Gents, you need this one. Trust me.
  17. Melisse, if you are having a photo emergency, you can put it on the LPMP FB page.
  18. I made a creme brulee the other day and used a bit of a finely ground Peet's dark blend almost as a spice topping/accent, the coffees in this perfume remind me of that. A coffee so lux that it can be used as a spice.
  19. Nope! Not that I'm aware of. But there's a good chance that he's had PM on when it happens. And he's not a giggler in general, I mean we laugh a lot, but not like stoned teenagers. He's not even ticklish. But it's that kind of energy, like he's scared I'm going to tickle him or something. I think it's a vulnerability thing. LFM has Beta THDOC, not Alpha THDOC, but I did find this on a phero site about Alpha THDOC. "Can induce hilarity, and uncontrolled laughter in high doses. This doesn’t happen EVERY time, but there is an increased tendency to find even in mundane situations. It’s like if you thought back to all the times you made dumb decisions in your life, and then think about how stupid you were at the time – however, this happens in the moment." I have no idea, it's cute, just weird. And I guess he's the only one, so far! I'm pretty sure he's not thinking about a stream of dumb life decisions while we're making out and viewing me as the pinnacle of the hilarity.

    Delectable

I'm kind of saving this one for last. With these kinds of reviews, I'm sure I'm in for a FB!
  21. Thx. I just thought it was so odd, he's never worn white sneakers in his life and that's what he picked to woo the ladies? Also, the dance was hosted by a $45K/yr school, so I bet the whole thuggery draw is huge over there.
  22. Right. But if I go thru too many pages too quickly, I'm told I can't do any more searches for ELEVEN seconds. As if I have that kind of free time.
  23. My son is 12 and going to his first dance. My ex took him shopping at Gap Kids yesterday for his outfit, he chose nice very dark jeans, a medium/dark chambray button down with white stitching, and bright white leather sneakers. It made me giggle when when I saw them, it reminded me of Jax's shoes from Sons of Anarchy. I just put Mike's Havana on Earth on him, I guess it's my age, since all my first dances were in the 80's, but it seems like what I would expect a boy to wear at a dance, the cologne his dad would put on him as the final touch.
