  1. Found this quote from Luna in this thread and thought it was helpful! But what makes a floral "sparkling"?
  2. This is sweet, candied pineapple pieces in cake! The way the pineapple seems candied and thick and deep, somehow, made me think of LP Fraise Citron. It is soooo good. My favorite of the fruity Fairy Cakes I've tried.
  3. This is bright and happy! I love how the peach starts out tart and juicy and then slowly transitions to a fluffier, sweeter cotton candy. My skin normally gobbles up fruit unless the notes are really well anchored, so I was pleasantly surprised that I could enjoy the tart fruitiness of the peach for over an hour before it became cotton candy! This is the kind of scent you wear when you don't want anything too heavy, just something sweet and uplifting.
  4. Ahh, Lantern sounds so good but it has BI - if there happen to be any virgin bottles of Lantern, put me down for a bottle!
  5. @citrine On me, Sensual Harmony isn't super strong, but it still makes its presence known. I've never had an issue with it being too light. Sometimes it'll go on light out of the bottle, and I'll apply too much, and it'll come out with a vengeance an hour later once my body heats it up. It really blooms and diffuses over time! Can't sing the praises of Sensual Harmony enough. I never thought I would like anything floral, and this completely changed my mind and is one of my favorites.
  6. If there's a solution, I'd love to know! What I normally do is mix the scent up with a heavier body butter or balm. It keeps it from rising too much in the air but I can still smell it on me. I also apply to a "colder" part of my body and sniff my arm occasionally. Basically, I do the opposite of what people do to get their scents to diffuse more. Or if I like the phero's effect on ME, but just don't want to affect others, I swipe a teeny bit on my neck or jawline (or a dot on my mask) - close enough to my nose that I can smell it, but other people won't unless they're getting really close to my face. Not the solution were you looking for, but hopefully it's somewhat helpful!
  7. @dolphindolls2 This one is great! I layer Sugared Honeycomb and Moondust Cocoa (and I bet something like Occo Choco would work well too) to get a similar effect. It doesn't have the orchid, but the honey sometimes has a bit of a floral character, which helps.
  8. I love vanilla and ylang scents (Sensual Harmony and Lady V's Sweet Little Pussycat are probably in my top 10 favorites) and I love LFM, so I was pretty sure I was going to love this! This has a lot of the same character as Sensual Harmony, but more blended, deeper, richer, and less powdery in the drydown. I actually like this better! The nutmeg adds a bit of warmth and blends in perfectly with the vanilla and sandalwood. The ylang doesn't stand out as a separate note as much as it does in Sensual Harmony - everything is very well blended into a delightfully warm, sweet, creamy whole. This is quite a bit warmer and cozier, too; if Sensual Harmony is like wearing an elegant dress, La Sylphide is wearing an elegant dress made of cashmere. This also lasts forever and is strong, but wafts from your skin without being overwhelming. But yes, this is amazing. New favorite LFM scent!
  9. Still intrigued by Mourning Glory and Ghost Dust. Mourning Glory: What's funereal? Lilac? Lilies? Carnation? Smoke? Now I'm just shooting in the dark. Ghost Dust: I really thought it would be powdered sugar.... hm, maybe a more wintry scent with a mint or green kick? I feel like it's probably has a bit of zing to go with the Open Windows. I am officially joining the bad guessers club.
  10. Don't know what's up with my skin chemistry today, but I'm wearing LP Black and it's not a deep dark patch and resins fest - the "buttercream" is actually coming through for the first time for me! After getting a (figurative) taste of the buttercream, I wanted to amp it up so I layered it with Lick of Cream and it was perfect. Then I added too much Lick of Cream and it smelled like Double O. 😄 But if LP Black isn't working for you, I'd recommend layering with something creamy! I finally got that dark creaminess everyone raves about!
  11. I was wondering if Sweet Leaf could be maple? Like a syrupy maple with crunchy leaves in a forest? But that doesn't match the color scheme at all... Ghost Dust makes me think of marshmallowy powdered sugar and white amber with a bit of lemon on top. But I'm probably only thinking of the lemon because the label reminds me of the Lady Frost label.
  12. Lantern made me think of a sweet caramel with maybe a spark of citrus, on a bed of deep dark resins. I was thinking incense for Mourning Glory, since in a lot of Asian cultures, incense is burned during mourning. I love the name! Beewitched makes me think of a honeyed pumpkin. Edit: got so caught up in guessing that I forgot to say that these are absolutely gorgeous labels!!
  13. Hi @Potion Master, could you check how many forum credits I have? I remember I completely forgot about forum credits during last year's sale and I'm trying not to this year. Thanks!!!
  14. I love this comment from @Eve in the Stalk Talk thread: So I thought it would be fun to list some favorite phero and scent pairings! I feel like LP O and LP Red would go with almost anything. LP Pink is pretty versatile too, but I probably wouldn't wear with something like a calming phero (it's so bright and energetic with the pinkness for me), while I could see how the deeper and smoother LP O or even LP Red could be comforting and grounding. My favorite, LFM: anything elegant. LP White is a go to for me, Sally's Daytime Elegance is great as well. A lot of white florals and the LPs from the 2019 French Collection. Levitation: I like pairing Levitation with scents that are "happy-in-a-bottle." You know that bright fruity scent that makes you smile as soon as you smell it? That one! I'm thinking Pink Pearl, Rubylicious, Keyani, LP Pink. For some reason I always think of summer scents with Levitation, even though it works beautifully in fall/winter scents like Flying Potion. I think it's just what my nose associates with the vibe of the phero. Curious to hear your favorite phero and scent pairings!
  15. That sounds like a drink from a Harry Potter Halloween celebration! Kind of like a mix between pumpkin juice and spiced cranberry punch.
  16. Getting around to reviewing some older samples from trades. I have no idea what half the notes are, but this starts out a little sharply floral, but dries down to a lovely soft amber that reminds me of the drydown of Lady Frost (I wonder if those have the same white amber? Or maybe it's just my nose making weird associations.) Light and a little mysterious.
  17. I've been wearing Aja enhanced scents a lot recently to figure out how Aja works on my skin. Some Aja enhanced scents are subtly (and sometimes less subtly) sexy (this one), some are so far into SLF territory I can only wear them at home and need to wash them off before I leave the house, and some are surprisingly powdery and innocent sugar bombs. Vampire Bait for me is usually "sheer" in the sense that I can pick out the different notes like layers of a veil. Not all of them, but they're kind of like a chord played on a piano - they form a really nice whole, but if you concentrate on each note you can kind of isolate it. It's also more fruity and feels more crystalline. The sweetness on drydown reminds me of the way pollen-coated tea tastes - lightly sweet and very "clear" and "clean" feeling, very innocent. Vampire Bait with Gotcha and Aja is much rounder and blended, with the floral coming out at first and then the Aja coming out. Aja sweetens the fruit notes up and adds roundness, depth, and a sexier vibe. The initial punch of floral is still there, but the drydown is more flowers and fruit in a pool of just-a-little-smutty honey. It also lasts longer and is stronger, probably from the Aja (which I tend to amp.) Both iterations are great, but this one definitely has a sexier vibe!
  18. Most of us have at least one "foolproof" phero that we really resonate with, and I'm glad you found yours! Sounds like you had a great day! 😊
  19. I'm wearing this one again, and I'm not sure if this has settled with time, or if my skin chemistry is different, but as it dries down, the brightness and greenness softens and the Aja really comes out and steals the show. Aja sometimes goes a bit TOO sweet on me and then goes completely dirrrty. But the freshness and tartness of the green banana in Coquin cuts the sweetness so the Aja is sweet honeyed powder on top, instead of smelling like sex in a vat of powdered sugar. The end result is that for a scent that has both cops AND Aja, it smells surprisingly innocent and is just delightful. I can't smell the cops at all! And it dries down really quickly too! Also the drydown reminds me a lot of Enivrant - I wonder if it's the same musk? It's a soft powdery musk that for some reason also reads a bit "fizzy" to my nose. Not sure why.
  20. @Mister Pheromert 1000 mcg = 1 mg. mcg stands for micrograms. Pheros are nice but they're just a little boost. It sounds like the woman waiting for the train just wasn't that interested in conversation, and pheros, even when working perfectly, won't completely change what she wants or what her personality is. Pheros also can have different effects on different people, on different skin chemistries, etc. I find the best way to test the pheros is just to wear the same thing for a while, and just relax and be yourself. You'll start to see some patterns or changes in how you feel or how people respond. If you're looking too hard for effects or acting unnaturally, people pick up on that and respond differently too. Also, self effects are huge! How you feel and act (even unconsciously) has a huge impact on how other perceive you and how they subsequently respond. The pheromones that have had the most positive impact on my life are the ones that make ME feel good. If OW isn't working for you, there are a lot of others you could try! And the plus side is that no one has to be able to smell you to get that effect.
  21. I get serious selfies with Classy Dame! From my Luxurious review: I never got the chance to try SS4W, though, so I can't speak to how the two compare.
  22. This is such a good sleep scent! It's not something I would normally wear (I usually like the super feminine scents), but it's PERFECT for sleep. It feels like dark and resinous, like a cool autumn night. On my skin, the fig isn't sweet so much as fresh. Back to the cool autumn night - you know when the air is just nippy enough to be refreshing, but not so cold that you need to put on a coat? It feels like that.
  23. Haha @Eastwood22, love your story! Makes me think of the OCCO tagline - "Covert Ops!" I agree with Eastwood here...the PM seems to have made him think little bit more seriously about your relationship. It might even have spooked him a bit, like "Oh no, I think I might really like her... but we work together! đŸ˜ŗ" I like the idea of sticking to OW (or TH - whatever you usually wear and he's used to as your "signature") and keeping it light and friendly until he gets more comfortable and processes his feelings, then hitting him with the PM again, and cycling back to OW as needed. Inviting him and a few colleagues to coffee should help increase his comfort level and trust with you, which will hopefully make him a little less guarded. I'm generally of the opinion that that if he really likes you, he'll pursue you, but I might be a bit old fashioned on that front.
