  1. I have regular neroli oil from back when I was going to try to mix my own scents pre-LPMP. It was nice enough. The Sugared Neroli is much the same, but made sweeter with the sugar. I get the briefest hint of brown then pink before they meld and settle into something softly feminine. The neroli wears strong on me, and the sugar keeps that in check. Lightly floral and sort of orangish. I like this for spring!
  2. Another for LFM. I bought my dishwasher and my car. And I've even gotten good discounts just buying clothes and whatnot. Never leave home without it!
  3. Threadjack: Eggers, your avi!!! Love it!!
  4. I'm wearing this one today, and I'm detecting notes that I hadn't previously, mainly the musk, patch, and marshmallow root. It smelled so fabulous and unfamiliar that I leaned over to the person sitting next to me in our meeting and said, "You smell so good! What are you wearing?" And she said, "Nothing. I think it's you." Sure enough, it was. Of course then I was mildly embarassed, like she thought I was seeking out compliments or something. I don't know if it's due to just cyclical skin chemistry changes or aging, but it's good!
  5. Another that wasn't on my radar. A wonderful light musk, made very fresh by the greenness. I agree with the others; this seems more complex than a simple sugared should be! Like a fine perfume. This was actually quite sweet on me. I got a ton of the powdered sugar, and it made this feel wonderfully powdery. This has quite a bit of throw on me. I can probably only wear it in small amounts.
  6. This was not on my radar at all, since i do struggle with some of the more resinous notes. I'm not sure why I categorized this as such, but it's not. "Velvety smooth" is the perfect description of this. Very smooth, mysterious, and sensual, but not heavy at all. Just sweet enough. Not sure if it's heavy enough to cover LFN, but I will surely try! They go well together! Thanks, Molls dearest, for this sniffie!
  7. Like others have stated, this is a berry-pink musk, whereas the Pink Musk from the musk line was more of a cotton candy pink musk. Just different enough where i'm really considering getting one of these! oh yeah, and this one lasts all dang day and doesn't morph too much!
  8. This is a nice, deep, soapy musk clean scent. It's not overly sweet, so men need not be afraid! It's like Sneaky Clean in that you can throw some on and feel as if you've showered. I plan to wear with sweeter notes. (It was great with Sugared Cream). Maybe a floral, too.
  9. Oh my goodness! this simple sugared has produced the strongest scent memory I have ever had. EVER!!! One sniff of this, and I was physically transported to a February night in 2003 when we had a birthday party for my college roommate out in a pasture with a bonfire. I mean, I was right there. I was so taken aback, I had to grab the kitchen counter. The smoke is the dominant note for me. In fact, it's all I get at first. It takes a solid half hour before the marshmallow begins to peek out. As the marshmallow gets stronger, the whole scent softens and smooths out into a deliciously warm and cozy scent. I will love this for the fall and winter.
  10. I just read the notes. Curiosities and A Wake are screaming my name! Pumpkin latte, for real?!?! And Animal Crackers with a cedar note? Drool.
  11. These labels are TO DIE for!!!! Lucky you, Katz, getting to visit LP land!!!
  12. I knew you didn't mean sneaking it. But I would mention it. But not in the "we're doing this to lose weight." I'd say, "We're going to eat apples instead of Twinkies becasue apples have a lot more vitamins and fiber than cake does." Little changes like fat free milk instead of whole or olive oil instead of butter, that might be lost on a child, but fruit instead of candy or veggies instead of chips are noticeable and opportunities for discussion. I think the why goes a long way in the learning process. And I totally agree with the leading by example. Everyone eats the apples instead of brownies. And I say all of this not to criticize anyone or anything, but as a former overweight child who finally learned to eat healthy as an adult. (And still struggles with weight as we speak.)
  13. I would also go with DOM. I would hesitate to change her food on the sly. About 4 or 5 years ago, back when Jerry Seinfeld's wife wrote that cookbook about sneaking veggies into kids' foods (blending up carrots and mixing it into spaghetti sauce or putting zuchnini in brownies, for example) and all of that was the rage, I watched a news thing with a psychologist or a dietitian that was saying that when you sneak healthy stuff in, the kids don't get a chance to learn to eat nutritiously and that they actually like the foods. I think 6 is old enough to start learning about healthy food choices, but there are ways to do it without saying "less calories/fat" or "lose weight." You could say something like, "We're all going to eat carrots with our dinner tonight because they are good for our eyes." Or something like, "Instead of mashed potatoes, we are all going to have mashed cauliflower. It tastes exactly the same but has even more fiber than regular potatoes!" Just a thought. Good luck!!!
  14. No one was trying to be difficult or dance around your question, just answering the most honest way we could. Personally, 2 to 4 dabs as you described is a lot for me, so I couldn't have ever suggested it. But if it works for you, great. Glad Mara was able to help you
  15. I sometimes reapply fragrances in the afternoon, but rarely if it's a phero enhanced scent, as sometimes the pheros can outlive the fragrance. (i can always smell them if they do.) If I find I need more scent in that case, I apply a similar but non-enhanced LP.
  16. I, personally, don't ever really worry about getting the exact amount of phero in the enhanced scents. I've found that if I wear enough to be perfectly scented (not too much, not too little), then I've gotten enough phero on me to do the trick. I've always gotten the effect I was looking for. I know it's not as precise or scientific as you're probably looking for, but it works!
  17. If you can't get hold of Gimme Money, try Shut Up and Get a Job. it already has the SWS in it. I've found it favorable for meetings with my boss-folks too.
  18. Do you think this one would go for men too?
  19. I wasn't sure about it until you mentioned the Woods and Pine Needles. Smoke would be wonderful with that!
  20. A lot of the ingredients in the perfumes have magical intent. You can search the perfumerie by magical intent. It will pull up all of the available scents that fit that categoryMaybe you can find a plain scent you like that will do what you're looking for while you're pregnant and breast feeding. Based on what you've said, I'd say you'd probably do best with a glamourous scent. Something with grapefruit, like Sugared Grapefruit.
  21. I think so. The pink sugar plays up the pinkness but the floral smells true.
