The Apple tree...it is an intensely mystical space for the Fae, guarded by a unicorn even as those round red jewels beckon to taste of their sensual delights. Any who come to the sacred grove for guidance in love matters are counseled to take an apple, for to give of oneself is to receive all the love they could wish for, a love which shall never pass away. Apples are symbolic of plenty and of happiness, and wherever an orchard may stand, there is wild Fae magic to be found within the sturdy leaves, the sweet fruit, and the fragrant blossoms. And when Summer has brought these deep purple jewels to full fruition, the revels to celebrate the harvest are in swing, as so many wee baskets of luscious fruit are brought to the fairy circles...soon, one may spy them sleeping off their royal banquet of berries, bellies round and blissful smiles stained with juice.
