The Goddess entwined around the Tree of Heaven, hung heavy with peaches, that fruit of Her ripened bounty of which those who were worthy were welcome to partake. The Fae remained eminently respectful to the Goddess, who would grant them a boon of one golden basket of peaches when She summoned them to Her palace of jade, high in the tree where the uppermost branches pierced the realm of Paradise, as Midsummer revels unfolded beneath the azure aureate-tinged sky. “My Shining Ones,” she greeted them, and they would bow low to her, their musical voices murmuring respectful devotion. Up in the clouds they would behold Her serene benevolence, the source of all which they knew. And to taste the flesh of the sacred fruit was to know all of Time, the realm of the Goddess, where Her splendor and Her wisdom reigned unending. PEACH ~ Love. Many are the long cold nights when eerie glowing pumpkins can be seen in fields and forests, and though there are those who fear spectres might have crossed the veil on Samhain and are now lying in wait for unsuspecting travelers, it is likely just a fairy snug inside, thankful for shelter from the chill.
