Leather versus Blatant Invitation

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone!

I'm new to the word of pheromones and have been using my first order from Mara!

I ordered unscented leather (roll-on) and white shield OCCO (roll-on).

I haven't been able to REALLY test it out on my man yet due to conflicting schedules and chaos in other parts of my life... BUT... of the couple times I did get to see him briefly while wearing them he has been extra touchy feely (kissing, touching, cuddling. OH, and lots of naughty texts after he got to see me!).

The big moment was when I was at his shop and he kissed me in front of his employees. He normally is VERY anti-display of affection while at work, since he's the boss he feels its inappropriate.

Well... I like the reaction I'm getting, albeit brief, from him and really want more pheromones... I'm greedy! hahaha

So my question is:

Blatant Invitation versus Leather.... they are almost exactly the same except for the Beta-Androstenone in leather and the couplins in Blatant Invitation. (Which I'm adding the couplins by wearing the OCCO with Leather). So really its just the Beta-Androstenone that is the extra pheromone.

What do you feel is the major difference in reactions when wearing Leather versus Blatant Invitation?

What kind of reaction is Beta-Androstenone supposed to get?

Leather: Contains Estratetraenol, Alpha-Androstenol, Beta-Androstenone and Alpha-Androstenone.

Blatant Invitation: Contains Alpha-Androstenol, Alpha-Androstenone, Estratetraenol and Copulins.

Thank you so much, Ladies!!!

XOXO

Hi Jdolly! Glad you made it! :D

They're not really the same AT ALL. The ingredients are in order of concentration. Leather is 50% EST, while BI only has a smidge in comparison. They really do come off much different.

Blatant Invitation is perfectly named, in my opinion. That's the vibe it gives off - blatantly sexual.

Leather is our Dominance blend, softened by half with Estratetraenol. It's still dominating but with the Est it's more girly.

Ohhhh....!! You list the ingredients by concentration. Just like food labels, that makes perfect sense now!

Well Leather is exactly the vibe I apparently give off to people so I guess its me, but turned up a few notches. Perfect!!

Still kinda wondering what Beta-Androstenone is supposed to do. Is there a page somewhere that explains what each type of pheromone is like? I've tried searching and found some explanations here and there but not all together in one post/page. I know Est is to make your man wan to cuddle/take care of you. Couplins are like when women are ovulating... but I just don't know all of them exactly and I'm curious.

Thanks!!

XOXO

I love both Leather and Blatant Invitation personally......BI is intensely sexual.....but for me it is sexual in a "you are gonna do what I want you to do, because I am your goddess and you want to please me" type of way.....if that makes sense!

Not quite sure exactly what beta -none does by itself.....all I know is the combo that it is in is killer! I leave the formulating to the experts....

Oh and welcome to the forum!

beta-androstenone I haven't heard of. Androstenone is, as far as I know, a pheromone produced by bacterial action on the skin, it gets converted from androstenol in sweat. It is supposed to trigger sexual arousal in females and can trigger aggressive or aversive behaviour in other males. Seems to signal, "I have a high testosterone level, and I am a threat either sexually or physically". At least when a male wears it. It also triggers mating behaviour in female pigs, a sow will 'assume the position' when exposed to androstenone. They will also follow rags soaked with androstenone. There is some debate as to whether it's actually a pheromone in humans, but it does seem to definitely cause reactions.

Diane has some information-packed threads in her journal (there's a link at the bottom of the page to go to it). I was hoping to be able to link you to the specific post I was thinking of, but couldn't find it. Luckily, I saved it into a Word file when I first saw it, since I thought it might be handy to have around.

So, in Diane's words (can't emphasize that enough-- she's the smart one, not me):

"All pheromones target responses in parts of the hypothalamus and many do so in a gender-specific fashion.

Alpha Androstenol -

Androstenol is a positive modulators of GABA-A (inhibitory) receptors, and this makes it have anti-anxiety, anti-depressant, and social harmonizing properties. Alpha Androstenol has been shown in recent scientific studies to stimulate portions of the hypothalamus when smelled and may also have mood elevating and sexual stimulating properties. Because it is a GABA-A positive modulator, it may interfere with long term memory and promote deeper sleep.

Androstadienone -

Androstadienone activates the pre-optic and ventro-medial nuclei of the hypothalamus of women, increasing sexual desire and pleasurable feelings. Androstadienone is only produced in the presence of excess testosterone. Neuro-steroid receptors for this pheromone have not yet been positively identified.

Androsterone -

Androsterone is a positive modulators of GABA-A (inhibitory) receptors, and this makes it have anti-anxiety, anti-depressant, and social harmonizing properties. Androsterone is only produced in males in the presence of excess testosterone.

Estratetraenol -

Estratetraenol is one of the most powerful female pheromones effecting males, and is produced only during pregnancy. And it is actually produced by the fetal liver during the course of the entire pregnancy. Estratetraenol has been shown in scientific studies to target and excite the medial and pre-optic (hypothalamic) areas of male brains, causing the release of oxytocin into the blood stream, leading to feelings of bonding, love, and protectiveness. The specific receptors have not yet been identified.

DHEA and DHEA-S -

DHEA and DHEA-S are precursors to the androgens and estrogens.

DHEA is a positive modulator of Sigma-1 (endorphin) and NMDA (excitatory) receptors and is a negative modulator of GABA-A. It has strong effects on memory and learning, strong motivational effects, mood lifting effects, and strong anti-phobia effects.

DHEA-S is a positive modulator of Sigma-1 (endorphin) receptors, a partial agonist of NMDA receptors, and a negative modulator of GABA-A. It has strong anti-phobic properties and is sexually stimulating, and increases dopamine release in the hypothalamus, thereby increasing pleasure response.

And some of my personal favorites:

Pregnenolone and Pregnenolone-S -

Pregnenolone is a precursor to progesterone, all mineralcorticoids and glucocorticoids, DHEA, DHEA-S, estrogen and testosterone.

Pregnenolone is produced in the adrenal glands and in the brain, skin, liver, and ovaries and testes. As a pheromone Pregnenolone is a positive modulator of Sigma-1 (endorphin) receptors and a negative modulator of muscarinic (acetylcholine) receptors. It has anti-depressant effects, emotional mood lifting effects, memory enhancing effects, and mild sexual stimulating effects.

Pregnenolone-S negatively modulates GABA-A (inhibitory), Glycine (excitatory), AMPA (excitatory), and nnAcH (nicotinic Acetylcholine)receptors. It positively modulates Sigma-1 (endorphin) and NMDA (excitatory) receptors. Pregnenolone-S has potent memory and learning effects, has strong anti-phobia effects, is sexually stimulating, increases body NO production with effects similar to Viagra, and like DHEA-S, increases dopamine release in the hypothalamus.

TH-DOC and Beta TH-DOC -

TH-DOC is a strong positive modulator of GABA-A (inhibitory), a positive modulator of NMDA (excitatory), and a negative modulator of 5-HT-3 (strong anti-anxiety effects). It has potent anti-anxiety effects, and enhances both male and female sexual interest and behaviors. TH-DOC can be sedating to women and sexually excitatory to men. It increases GnRH and oxytocin release in men.

Beta-TH-DOC is a positive modulator of GABA-A receptors and a negative modulator of NMDA. It has anti-anxiety, anti-phobia, and relaxing effects.

Allopregnanolone and Pregnanolone -

Allopregnanolone and Pregnanolone are strong positive modulators of GABA-A (inhibitory) receptors and strong negative modulators of Glycine (excitatory) and NMDA (excitatory) receptors. Both have the potential to interfere with long term memory and increase deep sleep. Both have potent anti-anxiety and anti-depressant effects.

Allopregnanolone negatively modulate 5-HT-3 receptors (strong anti-anxiety effect), and increases dopamine release, and has sexually exciting effects on males.

More to come...

Diane"

I had been wondering the same thing about Beta-Androstenone. It's listed as one of the ingredients in Leather (which lots of ppl love!) but no one really talks about it or seems to know exactly what it does. HAHA :10_small16: I even posted something on Diane's journal to find out (because it's not listed in that post)...but I haven't heard back. I think she has been really really busy though.

I was curious because I don't really respond that well to Androstenone in general, but if Beta Androstenone has different effects, then I might really enjoy wearing it.

WOW!! Thanks to all of you for all the great info!

I think I'm going to stick with the Leather and OCCO together for now because I'm a bit frightened of trying to hide the cops in Blatant Invitation and accidentally failing! hahaha

Leather doesn't have a scent at all on me AT ALL (in the roll-on bottle I can only smell the alcohol) and the OCCO white shield smells amazing! I wanna wear them all the time, even when I'm alone at home but I have control myself not to because I don't wanna waste it. I suppose that means I'm experiencing self effects from it!

Dolly... You sound so much like me its crazy! I went and saw some of your past posts and I think we would get along famously! I might be performing in Louisiana for the Fringe Festival in November, if I do, you should come out!

XOXO

No smell at all? You did shake it to mix it before applying right?

Some people don't smell certain pheromones, and some don't seem to smell any of them! And some people don't smell them when they first start using, but then learn to smell them better with use.

They are both in the oil base and even though I know I don't have to, I shake them every time just to be safe.

I've had a few friends do the nose/sniffing test for me because I was worried that I might stink.

None of them smelled a thing from the Leather after it dried... each of them separately said they smelled the faint alcohol scent but as soon as that evaporated they couldn't smell a thing. I had 3 females and 2 males "test smell" me.

Even tonight, my boyfriend and I were in a car together for 2 hours watching a drive in movie that our friends put together. As a test, I applied both the Leather and the OCCO 10 minutes before we got in the car so it could dry down. He didn't mention a thing about my scent, I even went as far as to make sure I kept putting my wrists/hands by his face so he would be in extremely close proximity to one of my application areas. (wrists, neck, cleavage)

Wow... that sounds horrible... I completely guinea pigged him! hahaha

But, either way, he didn't notice a smell. Trust me, he's not one to hold back on saying what he thinks.

He was very sweet though and played with my hair and continually touched and kissed me throughout the whole movie and he did tell me that he thinks I'm "the most amazing woman he has ever known". (He doesn't know a thing about me getting pheromones, by the way)

So... it could have been the pheromones, it could have just been me in general... I suppose I'll never know for sure.

XOXO
