This is from the 1962 movie. I've nothing against Matthew Broderick's 2003 version, but Nobody. Can replace. Robert Preston.

Also, here's http://en.wikipedia....i/The_Music_Man

BALZAC!!!

Heh.

ETA: Oh, poopie. The town council weren't wearing their striped coats in this scene.

ETA again: Yeppers, Meredith was a man. Along the same lines, my Dad's middle name was Marion (note the "o", which was apparently usually used for a man's spelling in the olden days). That was after his *mother's* name Marion. As far as I know, nobody ever figured out why grandma's parents spelled it that way.

THAT WAS SOOO COOOL!!!

Thanks, ElizOsp!

Are you familiar with The Music Man, Mara? My family happened to be musicals-heads so I grew up singing a passel of 'em. Matt's family *didn't* do musicals, but they did do big band and classical, which my family also did. So it's taken me bloody YEARS to stop quoting musicals at him! Heeee! Edited by ElizabethOSP

Yeah, maybe the one with the middle section that they "blurred" out the nasty words on the album, but also Def Leppard, Pour Some Sugar on me - the bridge section.

So don't delay act now supplies are running out

Allow if you're still alive six to eight days to arrive

And if you follow there may be a tomorrow

But if the offer is shun you might as well be stalkin' on the sun,

yes. we sure had fun with that line! it got to the point where our directors had to tell us to grow up...teehee.... i played gracie shinn, the youngest daughter who introduces the wells fargo wagon song.

You've got a cute way of talkin'

You got the better of me

Just snap your fingers and I'm stalkin'

Like a dog hangin' on your lead

I'm in a spin, you know

Shakin' on string, you know

You make me feel like dancin'

I'm gonna dance the night away
