Eggers Posted October 2, 2012 Share Posted October 2, 2012 Love this! I didn't know what to expect when I first put it on, but it's so lovely and sheer, I want to layer it under everything. It really does smell 'pink'! And the pinkiness really sticks around, too, which is awesome. It reminds me a bit of Pillow Patter, but it's slightly heavier in feel, and longer-lasting. I wore Pink Musk to work today, with a little Stealing Heaven, just for a change, and they blended together wonderfully - though after a while, the Pink Musk seemed to elbow its way to the fore. Or maybe it's just that it's longer-lasting than Stealing Heaven. Whatever. This is a pretty, versatile perfume, and I'm totally diggin' it. Like if Sparkle Fuschia grew up in bars and brothels in a nice part of town...... Like, if she was adopted by the brothel owners and protected from the scene, but she knew what it was like to seduce a man at a very early age... because she seduced Lucian, the bar back with the hazel eyes and tan skin. He was from Lithuania. He was 23 she was 16 when they met,. and she waited until she was 18 to seduce him, he brought her 2 dozen long stem pink roses to her room. They called it the Swan Room, because it had a veranda that overlooked the garden and pond area where 2 swans lived. He entered her room, the chandelier was dim, she was bathing in a tub full of pink sugared rose petals and milk... he could smell her skin in the air... Everyone wanted to dine with her, but she rejected client after client because her heart belonged to Lucian. The expensive gifts piled up in the Swan Room from the high rolling clients that came to see the most desired and famous of all the courtesans, Occo Pink and Cougar..the brothel's leading ladies. It was whispered there was a new courtesan in town that was going to dominate.. Poor Occo and Cougar didn't stand a chance next to this lovely and sexy, discovery! Wait until you smell Orchid Musk Joc, I think we might have the same taste in fragrances, so I believe you will love it. You can get a good idea of what French smells like with the dry down (base) of Pink and Orchid. French is beautiful, truly; a soft, warm, sweet vanilla musk. Not at all soapy or "old" stuffy smelling, not that strong musk either, just warm and gorgeous! ...Imho French is also one to own. I ordered this during the summer sale and this travelled all over the world, first across the US then to UK, followed by a short trip to Singapore & Malaysia then here. The musk smells similar to the musk in Halo's Lavendar Musk. Kind of soft sweet vanilla musk, as Lexy stated, while the pink does resemble a simpler version of the LP Pink, like OCCO Pink. I'm not totally crazy over the scent, it least not now so I'll have to try it out a couple more times. I'd call this a girl-next-door kind of scent. The kind of scent to wear to meet your boyfriend's family for the first time as you want to project the nice and sweet girl image. I am looking forward to receiving my gigantic second summer order of the Orchid, Caramel and Exotic Musks among UN and boosted scents as I'm actually more excited to try those instead. JOC Posted April 6, 2013 Share Posted April 6, 2013 I have tested this a couple of times now. I think the musk base is lovely but I'd prefer a softer pink to go with it. I'll try to soften the pink note by adding some Pure Sugar the next time I use it. Otherwise, it's definitely going to someone's home while the spare goes to my sister. It's soft, girly, creamy, foody, luscious, opaque and soft like warm strawberry taffy, and yet somehow not girly - and yet somehow very natural smelling - as if you might nearly just wake up every day smelling like this that's the musk talking probably. xo to my girl lv for parting with one of hers for me - treasuring it. amyrose Posted November 26, 2014 Share Posted November 26, 2014 I was having trouble trying to think of how to describe this, but pinky vanilla fluff hits it right on! It's soft, and sweet.. the pink isn't tart for me, and it's very... inobtrusive is all I can think of. It's not an overwhelming scent, and I think it could be layered with other scents easily. Def pinky vanilla fluff, yum! The musk was heavier in the first hour but settles into a very soft (not powdery though) and feminine scent. Initially the musk was a bit musky/damp on me too but that faded off to a soft and light musk. I slathered it on and the scent lasted all day long too which was great considering it's very sheer. The pink in it wasn't overly sweet or fruity either, just very light for a sugar. I did try adding a dab of Sugared Berries late in the day. That was OK but by then Pink Musk had faded quite a bit in comparison (granted I was smelling it all day so I thought it was stronger until I added something new) and the Berries really were most prominent. StacyK Posted December 20, 2014 Share Posted December 20, 2014 I bought new bottles when I heard about the rebrew. I have a smaller 1/6 ml bottle of the original. On my skin the new brew smells pretty different from my older bottle. I get very heavy Ylang or Sandalwood (I forget which is in this). Sometimes those two notes have a similar effect on me. Either way this version is heavier on that note and more vanilla with the "pink" and musks in the background.
