It was a tad innocent for my taste ( I gave it to Sugar's 12 yr.old daughter), also soothing( which is why I gave it to her). My tastes have evolved, I think I may give this another shot. The texture I'm associating this scent with, is that of those creamy fruit jellies (candy). Anyway I really like this now. & there's a funny story I have to share. Currently, my physical build is similiar to the model for the 3 of Pears label. I took my husband out to eat & I was slathered in my LP Original sample, no pheros. I had had on a fitted long Tshirt, no cleavage. Of course you can see how big my boobs are in it. I'm 4'11, I wear a 34D & size 4 jeans, there's no way you can hide these suckers!! Anyway, I get up to take my 3 yr.old to the bathroom & I look up to notice this guy in his 20's intently studying my chest. All the way to the bathroom, like 3 out of 4 guys are blatantly staring @ my tits! I know people look, but gah I've never had people look so blatantly while walking my 3 yr old to the can,lol. I do want to add, it wasn't like with Red. Where guys almost stare @ you, like the way a hungry dog eyes your steak. It was more like they were just unable to look away People were very nice & friendly to me( even women), so this one draws the 'love' out more than Red. It's like...like a boozy caramelly cheesecake with candied fruit (namely apricots) and something slinky and sexy in the background. Creamy and delicious but intriguing at the same time. Which is noteworthy, as he normally says " I've smelled that before", or even says "That's the same one as _, they just put it in a different bottle." I'd like to rake thru his cologne drawer one of these days, put each one under his nose & say "Can you tell me the difference between these? When clothing designer's copy each other, or use the same manufacturer & slap their individual labels on it.That's called commercial, i.e. generic. I put a bit of this in my hair at the nape of my neck, and all day, I kept smelling it. I finally realized that it was LPO - it didn't smell like that in the vial, that's why it threw me off... Potion Master Posted March 23, 2011 Share Posted March 23, 2011 The way we package this one is in the pretty faceted bottle with a silver top, and a hang tag. But also included in the package is a second cap, a roll-on cap that you can swap for the silver decorative one. We don't package them with the roll-on caps to start with because that particular type leaks during transport. You can't carry it around in your purse with that roller cap, but if it's staying at home on your dresser it's fine. So anyway, it comes with two caps, one decorative, and one roller. ETA: Ok my nose must have been shot from over-testing. Today I'm wearing this alone and I can sense the depth of this now. One moment it's dark Patchouli, the next it's a smooth vanilla with a resinous undertone. No fruit notes at all on me. OMG I love this. I must have a full bottle. ETA: OMG I love this more every second. I just huffed my boobs and I swear if I wasn't at work I'd hunt Shadow down and do unspeakable things to him. A guy I date said I smelled like the Tropicana (Hotel and Casino in LV) when I wore it. I wasn't too happy about that but I know he meant it as a compliment. The LPLE amps the apricot so much that it turns the character of the perfume into a fruit fest.....which is not a bad thing, don't get me wrong! My LPLE/BI is one of my man's absolute faves..... I think now though that I need a bottle or two of LP Original....will need to decant it into a roller bottle though, because my bottles never stay at home on my dresser! They go everywhere with me! How funny, I've been meaning to comment forever on how different they are on me too, except for me the LE is very dusky and powdery and mYsterious and classic-perfumey and old-world feeling, while the Lp original is bright sunshiny apricoty warm fuzzy honey. I put on a truly shocking amount today but it is not overpowering, just a gauzy veil - I think my skin drank it all up today. Need to moisturize.... I have commented elsewhere how sometimes, but only sometimes (based on cycle, I assume), it smells like a fainter itself with lots of freshly ground black pepper on top!!! LOL.
