Stacy's Lady Luck

Wow! Mara does it again!

This is far sexier than I thought it would be. The coconut cream is a soft base the lends a hint of coconut, it doesn't overwhelm the scent, leaving plenty of room for the fruity, sweet papaya and the soft honeysuckle to come out and play. The honey adds a sexy, warm glow and a but of body. The zing of ginger is light but adds a dash of gingery heat. This is great on it's own but I feel it's begging for a light dash if cops. So warm and pretty, sexy. Very nice for summer or whenever you want to add a dash of warm sunshine to your day.

Thank You Mara it is wonderful.

Mmmm, this is just wonderful! I was especially excited when I saw ginger as a note, because I LOVE ginger.... but until now I've had it for the most part in cookie/bakery type scents. This is quite different, with the sultry fruitiness that is the main vibe of the blend... the coconut creme gives the perfect summery base, and then the fruit is sexy and luscious, and the ginger makes it wonderfully warm. I got mine with cops, which felt like the perfect choice. It's a very grown-up sexy scent; it has the feel of a James Bond movie about it -- resort life, luxury, gaming, decadence and just a hint of danger to keep it exciting! And while it's perfect for summer, I agree it would be a great one to pull out in the dead of winter, to transport you to the beautiful sunny beaches in your mind.

Congrats, Stacy -- it was really fun to watch this evolve in your journal!

Thanks, I agree it's very sultry and great with cops. I love the Bond imagery, that's so perfect for the feel of this. I added cops to one of my bottles, so ready to try my luck at a casino in the Caribbean this winter. ;) Edited by StacyK

I love how this has aged. The notes of coconut cream, honeysuckle, papaya and honey are melded together so well and the bit of fresh ginger adds a little heat. I recommend it with cops. Even just a couple of drops makes the scent pop even more. It can also cover a heavy amount well. ;)

BC thanks for your review. It was great I can't top that. :)

Your description is perfect IMO.

I just put this on for the first time in months, and wanted to chime in about how well it's aged!! I stand by every word of the original review. :-) This is still so sophisticated and at the same time so mind-blowingly sexy. I wish I had a roulette table to head to right now!

This is terrific stuff! Upon application I got a true and perfect blending of papaya and honeysuckle. Beautiful opening act, which leads us to the second act, a dance number during which coconut rounds out the duo with a little soft shoe. Ah, and then that saucy little number named ginger opens the third act. She knows how to turn up the heat, just so. She closes out the show with the big finale: The dance of the creamy coconut veils. Look out boys. You're about to lose your... shirts. Standing Ovation! Brava!

Got a bottle of this from the Trading Post, and I am in love. This is probably something I would have overlooked otherwise because the notes aren't what I usually go for (coconut worries me because of the "sunscreen" thing, honey is difficult for me to pull off too, and I wasn't sure about the ginger), but wow, I LOVE this. It's very bright at first, with the ginger and papaya as the top notes for me when wet. I get the slightest whiff of honey, and the honey and coconut settle into an almost musky scent for me during the dry down. So beautiful!

Hint- It's an excellent cover for EOW.

Last year, while the phero trials were available, I bought a trial of EOW. Since it has the little dropper, it's perfect for adding a few drops to bottles ;)

That's what I wanted to do, but I didn't see any trials of EoW left this year, if there were any available! :( I might buy a trial of Sexpionage and boost one of my bottles that way...

Really?? That sucks. :(

Yeah, I've self-boosted a few of my bottles with my phero trials :D

I think I read that the single molecule blends weren't available this year (and I guess EoW counts as one of those?)? Sexpionage is the closest I can get, I suppose. I think I'm going to take Stacy's advice and boost my Blackstone with a couple of drops (ack I feel like a total creeper because of how much reading I do on reviews and remembering what everyone's suggestions are - apologies!)...

Ah, you're right. I remember that now. And I wish I had such a good memory, lol.. Sometimes I spend hours trying to find a post that I vaguely remember

Hi MR, you can still get Sheer Essence, I think it's always available. It's less concentrated than the EOW, but will allow you to experiment with cops in a safer way bc it is less concentrated.

IDK if Sexpionage will work exactly the same. It could be close, it does contain a lot of cops. I have an old PE called Ann's Brown Sugar Black Amber and I had boosted that with a full dose of Sexpionage. The cops make it smell sweeter and sexier.

My suggestion, get the half sized roller bottles 1/6 oz instead of the usual 1/3 used here. You can get a bag of them cheep on Amazon. That way you can try theses things without sacrificing your whole bottle.

I never bought, sheer essence. Already had my FB of EOW. But, I see the appeal if you want to apply it directly to your skin. I just became adapt at using the EOW overtime with guidance from the forum. I bought the EOW so I could boost my bottles if needed. I've also applied it directly to by skin followed up by a good cover scent. No problems.

Though I still have LP boost too. But, sometime I decide after the fact.... "I want cops in this". Adding EOW to Blackstone gives it a sweeter sexy vibe. Scentwise it's like adding little sugar to coffee. My boosted bottle is my favorite. Sexpionage should have a similliar effect. But, I recommend decanting some to another bottle or you can ask Mara what amount she might recommend.

If you ever decide that you might want to boost some of your bottles at home I recommend just buying the EOW. You literally just add it drop by drop. You'll also need droppers too. I think Mara had those on Etsy

Thanks for the suggestions, Beach Goddess and Stacy! I think I'll definitely get a bottle of EOW and other materials in the future to boost any bottles after an order (or things I get from the Trading Post). Only issue is I feel like I would be a klutz at taking off the rollerball tops and could totally see myself spilling everything! Maybe I'll just stick to Mara boosting my bottles for now haha!!

I know this post is old, but @Midnight Requiem I use one of these rollerball remover tools.  If you look at the fourth picture for that product, it shows how to put the whole rollerball assembly back on by using the circle and pressing down on the outer rubber, NOT the ball itself. It's really easy once you get the hang of it.

@StacyK I've been wearing this a lot this week! I've had a lot to pull off and I think it's helping, and there has been a bit of cash flowing in. Is it my imagination based on the name, or is this the intention? I'm loving the scent either way!

I slathered this heavily yesterday, and it was SO NICE! In the afternoon, when I was dirty and sweaty from the heat, more or less melting, I re-applied and added Elementals: Air and I magically became a freshly washed woman in a fine linen robe, drinking a fruity beverage, in the shade of course, at a tropical spa! And here comes that hot young man to rub my feet with some coconut ginger scrub.

If you have this one, re-investigate! And the more, the merrier!
