Dear god this one is GOOD. I don't get baby powder though (OTOH - it's that time of month, so skin chemistry could be messing with it) - fresh bamboo over light, not very sweet vanilla/amber. And it's GORGEOUS. I may need more of this. EDIT: Maybe my nose is funny this week. I tried it again a couple of days later, loved it the same, but my close friend said it smelled a lot like baby powder to her. (And this is ON me.)
  2. I think it's your chemistry. I thought the honey disappeared on me within a half hour -- turns out it was just the other notes (skin musk?) amping like crazy & drowning it out. When I woke up the next day, I was pretty surprised to accidentally catch a whiff of honey from the night before (8+ hours later), so there's at least a throw of a few inches 'cause I certainly didn't go sniffing at it, I was sure the scent would be long gone.

This is lovely. It does feel very clasically perfumey -- I think that's a hint of rosewood I pick up in it. It's very smooth, very sophisticated... not necessarily me, but lovely. This feels right for a formal evening out. Which I do *Rarely*. I'm totally a jeans & comfy sweater gal. But sniffing this, I feel like I could maybe do an elegant business suit.
  4. Oooh... this is pretty. Wet: honey and powdery amber. It reminds me of BPAL's O (if we're allowed to compare to other brands. If this is frowned upon, my apologies.), but lighter. Unfortunately, as it dries, the honey melds into the amber & then fades completely. Sadly, no sandalwood on me. All that's left is the powderyness. And while it's a pretty powder, it's not something I'd reach for to wear. Hmm. Or so I think. I could be wrong, as I do keep sniffing my wrist rather compulsively. EDIT: This layers really beautifully with Oriental Gardenia. Mmm.
  5. *grin* Thanks Katz & Curiouschic. I'm looking forward to playing with these wonderful scents. (I just got a dozen samples or so.) I'm currently toying with the idea of finding something spicy to layer the Orchidee de Peche with.
  6. This is pretty! The orchid and the peach meld seamlessly. Light, femme, and not the syrupy I expected. It's a tart peach on me, which actually I love. I find most peach notes too syrupy. (yay me, first post!)
