  1. It could be that some people automatically interpret the sandalwood as incense, so they think smoke.
  2. Get outta town!!! Raspberry musk bubbles??? And who wouldn't want to add some flavor and zest? Very fun indeed! Can't wait for the notes and Luna's scribbings!
  3. So I don't know why I didn't buy a bottle of this the first time around, 'cause it's a vanilla lover's dream!! OMG, soooo creamy! I dug out my sample of the Boho Cats one to compare. The original is more spicy to my nose and reminds me of G&L, but that might be from aging. This version has more of a vanilla buttercreme and so far, the maple note is behaving and not taking over. It really does smell like creme brulee, only my favorite dessert in the whole world!! So glad I got a bottle.
  4. Sniffing this one fresh out of the vial, I thought it was too "green" for my liking, as green notes tend to amp on my skin and turn into air freshener. I tried a dime sized blob on my inner elbow to test, and also for ease of washing if it became to much. Anyhoo, I go out and about, and kept getting whiffs of something absolutely amazing. I thought it was a fellow shopper who had passed me in the aisle, so I tried to be nonchalant and saunter casually to where she was to get another sniff, but her phone rang and she walked away. I didn't follow this time, I didn't want to be a creeper, lol! I didn't realize it was ME who smelled so good until I got in my car to go home. So after the green notes settled, (must have been while I was driving to the store with the windows down) I got the nicest combo of coconut and tropical vanilla, made silky smooth and a touch powdery from the Egyptian musk. I kept sniffing my arm on the way home, thinking I must have put on Mermaids by mistake. I tried Tropical Musk again the next day, and the same thing! It just smells so different on my skin than in the vial, such a happy surprise. It just goes to show that something you don't think will work sometimes becomes even better than you could even hope for. (Note to self! Always get the sampler!) No wonder this one has been rebrewed multiple times! I will continue to test out my sample and as long as the green notes stay very light, I will probably have to get a bottle!
  5. Oh Rose, I can totally sympathize! I remember when I bought Fairy Musk and wore a very modest amount to work, it made me feel really connected to people. But one day, I put on an extra *little* dab, I was extremely melancholy, questioning my whole career path with a co-worker, to the point of "WTF have I done with my life?!?" It really freaked me out, and I have been really hesitant to wear it again, I even sold my back-up bottle. This might be a phero that you need a very small amount of, maybe in an enhanced fragrance to get your sweet spot. The same thing happens to me with LFM, it's awesome in Pirouette and La Sylphide for me, but the UN is just way too much, just my experience
  6. Labels look great! ChristineK, what's in your Bohemian Beauty?
  7. Lol, maybe if I try to convince myself that there is banana in this instead of watermelon, maybe it will work out better for me! It starts out with a big blast of candied watermelon that reminds me of the gum that was everywhere when I was a kid. The creme brulee comes out about 20 minutes later, but is struggling to break free from the watermelon note. It's turning a bit weird smelling on me, kind of sour.
  8. Mmm, deliciously beachy coconut! I was a little concerned that the smoked sugarcane would turn too smokey on me, but it's really a nice note. If you loved Sweet Surrender, you must try this! Oh, and Gotcha!? Win-win!
  9. Wow, when I first put this on, it was ALL PINEAPPLE ALL THE TIME. It smells like the pineapple in Gamboge, and I have put a little dab of that one on the other arm to compare the drydowns. LP Summer Solstice has this nice, clear vanilla hovering on top with just a little apricot, with just a touch of smooth patch in the base. Gamboge on the other hand, gets super loud on me, and turns into a floral/fruit punch/bubblegum scent. I like this one! On the list for FB...

Right out of the vial, this is cool, sophisticated cherry blossom with just the barest hints of pear and tea. On my skin, it becomes a perfume-y cherry blossom, maybe with a little hint of the plum blossom? The white musks seem to be a lot more of the sheer quality, as they are quietly staying in the background, gently supporting the blossoms. As it dries down, it's "warming up", the ginger is is making its presence known. Very pretty!
  11. Oh wow!! New releases are here!! They all look fantastic! Ha ha, "Lobster babes" had me thinking of Old Bay seasoning.
  12. Oooohh, is it time yet?? ........... ............. ............ .............. ..............
  13. Right now I'm loving: 1. LFM (in enhanced fragrances) 2. Heart and Soul 3. Open Windows 4. Levitation 5. Cougar These are equally important pheros in my arsenal, and only listed in order of recent usage
  14. Hmm, not sure this one is going to work out for me. Wet it's lovely, the lavender blends well with the salted caramel and reminds me a bit of Fuzzy Wuzzy, but as it dries down, my skin is turning the caramel into burnt sugar, smoking up the kitchen and setting off the smoke detectors, *sigh*
  15. NuTrix, I think this smells fruity, too! There is something really alluring with this one, it stays fruity for a good long while, then goes ever so slightly floral, with a creamy base. I am obsessed with this one as well.
  16. O M G, this is the PERFECT PINK scent!! Delicious pink and vanilla and nothing else. Another must-have!
  17. If you love Sugared Violets or Lina's Candied Violet Fluff then you need this one, too! Wet, it does remind me a bit of the Sugared Violets, both have that crystalline, sweet candied violet fragrance. The Fairy Cake version stays sweet and candied, and has a nice balance with the vanilla-marshmallow. I'm not getting "pink" out of this at all, but that's alright, this is a happy scent that I will be happy to have a FB of!
  18. Wow, not what I was expecting at all! I'm getting a very clean impression wet, it's kinda a tad soapy, like a honeyed baby shampoo. After about half an hour, it's really reminding me of a variant of Sneaky Clean! I wonder if it has the cactus flower honey in this one? After a couple hours, the "clean" impression fades a bit, the honey turns a bit powdery, and a soft vanilla cake comes out with just a hint of a brown sugar caramel frosting. My little sample is going FAST, I have so many more to test but I keep reaching for this one, I love it! This is a must-have.
  19. OMGGGGG!!! SO GORGEOUS!! You KNOW I will be all over that violet one! And the orchid, and the raspberry, and the peach, and the lavender and, and.... aw heck, I love them all!
  20. Me too, me too!!! After a tough couple of months filled with unexpected bills, I'm ready to treat myself for my upcoming b-day! ...No hints yet?
  21. I included a sniffie of this with your package I shipped out today as I thought you would like it, I guess I was right, LOL!!
  22. I would love to see a rebrew of this, too! I just dug out my sample, mmmm!! Scented Levitation gets my vote for a rebrew as well.
  23. Wow, this is soooo good!! Nice job, Mara and Stormey! When I first received this, I had the same results as some of the ladies here, the cherry disappeared almost immediately, and the vanilla bean not long after, leaving me with just the patchouli and not much amber. But thanks missdarlyncherie's review, I knew to be patient, and so glad I did! I wore this today, and OMG, it's everything I hoped it would be. The black cherry was juicy and luscious, the vanilla bean was rch an sweet, swirling with an awesome amber, and a very elegant, sophisticated patchouli that only made its presence known at the extreme drydown. Gosh, I thought after reading the notes and testing that Tingle Tangle would be more up my alley! I like Tingle Tangle, but I LOVE Lusty Cherry!! Yummm!!!
  24. OMG, I love this one so much! I sure wish I had the foresight (and the funding, lol) to order more than one bottle of this, it's fabulous! Wet, the lavender reminds me of the one in Fuzzy Wuzzy, that sweet, gentle, friendly French lavender, but a bit more sheer and ethereal. The lavender kinda fades after fifteen minutes, and in the long drydown, I'm getting the most amazing pink marshmallow vanilla fluffy goodness that is just to die for! It did last pretty much all day too, with the extreme drydown being a white vanilla cupcake, as opposed to Fuzzy Wuzzy, which was a dense, dark yellow pound cake. Totally yummy, and if there is ever a rebrew of this, please put me down for a bazillion bottles!
  25. Wearing this one tonight, yum! Wet, it's definitely like Darling Catalina and Atomic Mandarin, a delectable orange cupcake with pink frosting. I'm loving the drydown of Inspire Desire, I think it must be the honey that is giving it just a bit of floral sweetness on my skin, and mingled with the pink and vanilla it's just swoon-worthy!! Atomic Mandarin turned into thick pink frosting on me that was a bit much, but this is just gorgeous. Love it!
