  1. I am on an amateur salsa dance performance team with 8 other people. We have been rehearsing since August and will be performing throughout February and into March. We recently got accepted to perform at the Chicago Salsa Congress in a couple of weeks which is exciting and very nerve-racking. I also have the added pressure of being chosen team captain and dealing with all the responsibilities that it involves. I have performed on a limited basis before. (I am the only one on the team that has, so this is everyone else's first time.) I love it but I get so nervous to the point where I start to shake. I need something that will help to calm my nerves but keep me sharp and focused ( and hopefully rub off on everyone else). I was originally thinking of using Leather which is my go-to for getting things done, but I'm worried that it will amplify my nerves. When I'm anxious, I usually grab Balm Bomb, but that makes me drowsy and I definitely don't want that. Also, my dance partner and I have been struggling with the ending. It is a complicated trick move which we have done successfully many times before. But lately it seems to be falling apart and we are loosing the connection we need to execute the move correctly. We both know what the issues are but it seems to be more of a mental hurdle to get over. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
  2. I'm with you on this one, donsie. I missed out on a FB of Katerina Suit and horde my sample...
  3. I have used Sheer Essence with success. I also have the trial bottle with the tiny dropper and I only use 1-2 drops which I split between wrists and then rub on my lower torso. Then i let it dry down just like any other cop scent. I can still smell tiny amounts of cops until i cover it but it is a dream to work with compared to EOW (which I purchased from another company before I discovered LP....had the worst OD from that). So it took me awhile to muster the courage to play with Sheer Essence and I was very happy with the results. I do tend to be conservative with my phero application as I have found that for me, less is more.
  4. I am a huge fan of BB and wear it almost every night before bed. This is such a pretty soft powdery scent that is perfect for BB. It evokes an image of standing on a lavish balcony, in a long silky nightgown, on a warm starry night, basking in the moonlight.

    Elfin Plum

This was the first one I grabbed from the December set. I knew by the description that it would be my favorite for the month...and I was absolutely right. It is gorgeous! It wears on me like a lighter version of Lady V's Black Panther, which is one of my all time favs. The plum is very sensual and the fig adds a layer of brightness. I detect just a hint of spice. It dries down to a beautiful skin musk that lasts and lasts....FB for me.
  6. This one started off as sweet cherry on me but that faded rather quickly. The musk and amber came forward with the lemon hanging on. I have mixed results with amber...too much and I wind up in headache territory. In this, it was on the border. The musk is really beautify and was keeping the amber grounded, but eventually the amber took over. I will have to give this one another try after it has time to settle.

    Petal Pusher

This starts off as a delicious strawberry shortcake with the tiare flower peaking through. I do get the essence of tea as Mara suggests. The drydown is yummy marshmallow goodness...anything with marshmallow is almost guaranteed to work for me so I knew I would love it.
  8. This is dark sophistication in a bottle. The blackberries add the right amount of sweetness without being overly foodie. Black musk and patchouli will sometimes amp on me, but in this they are perfectly blended....I can't actually detect the notes individually. The black current adds a perfumy, almost floral, element to it in an unexpected way. The benzoin just ties it all together. Throughout the day, it continued to bloom on my skin and I found myself getting lost in the experience of it. It is really fantastic and fierce!
  9. I would also like to reserve a bottle of Lusty Cherry...it sounds amazing!
  10. Yay Tink! I'm so glad I saw it on Artfire. I just bought a bottle unsniffed because I trust your judgement and know we have similar tastes! Super excited to try this one.
  11. This is perfect...light fluffy marshmallow goodness. It does wear close to the skin but I can still smell it the next day. I want to bathe in it. Marshmallow is such a calming scent for me, this is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!!
  12. Wet, this smells like powdery pineapple with a hint of melon, a bit like a pina colada. Maybe its the apricot I'm detecting mixed with coconut that gives that impression. After a few minutes the melon comes forward and sits on top of the fluffy vanilla and coconut. This is a perfect summery cover for cops and reminds me a bit of Cuchi Head, but lighter. I'm surprised that i don't smell any honey which is usually the first note that i detect, but it is definitely staying in the background. After a long dry down, I am starting to detect the amber, but mostly the melon and coconut hanging on. This is very beautiful and subtle.
  13. Initially the lime-raspberry take center stage with the vanilla peaking out. It's not as cakey as I expected it to be. After dry down, the amber and patch come forward and blends perfectly with the fruit. This one is so delicious. I can't stop smelling my arm when I wear it and it has quickly become one of my favorites from this collection. It is also the first blend I have tried with Bang. I wore it last weekend to a Salsa event. After arriving, i was sitting alone at a table relaxing and getting into the music. My dance instructor (who's a great guy but can be really standoffish in public) walked past me from behind, did a 180, gave me a big hug and kiss on the cheek. I was like, whoa! Score one for Bang! We have performance team tryouts coming up in a couple weeks, so now I'm considering wearing this for a little extra something to stand out ;-)
  14. I've had B2 unscented in spray and BB in samples of both Heart's Ease and Patience Potion, neither or which I had given a proper testing. After reading this thread a couple weeks ago, I was inspired to pull out my Patience Potion sample and give it a try. It happened to be on a day when I was feeling really low after a fight with my BF. WOW! The effects were immediate. I just felt calm, centered and like everything would be OK. My anxiety and sadness just disappeared. So i tried it again at night before bed because I usually have trouble sleeping. I've used B2 for this purpose with mixed results. But BB, holy crap this stuff just knocks me out. Not only do i sleep well throughout the night, I also have good dreams too. Heart's Ease also give me the same results. BB is definitely an UN I will be adding to may arsenal. I've never tried Teddy BB so now I'm really curious....Anything that helps to keep stress and anxiety at under control is a win for me.
  15. This one really surprised me. Now I'm a honey ho and I pretty much can't go wrong with musk. However, tobacco tends to amp on me and I can only handle it in small doses. What really threw me was the "soapy clean" description I just could not comprehend with this ingredient list. But, WOW! The combo is divine. It actually smells a bit like jasmine on me, a floral I can do! The musk after dry down reminds me of Tyvey's Smoked Ham...which IMO is nectar of the gods! Of course, I'm excited to test drive Sexology too...
  16. Beccah, yeah I discovered LP almost a year ago and became hooked immediately, just been a silent lurker...Since then I gave up commercial perfumes and other phero products completely. The quality of LP surpasses anything I've ever used. Why trade your '11 brew? Why not have both ;-) I am so looking forward to the Nov collection...but you're right, this one will be hard to top.
  17. My monthly samples arrived yesterday and I went straight for this one. After reading the reviews, I knew it would be amazing. Marshmallow root is a favorite of mine and I was excited to try Levitation for the first time. One swipe on the back of my hand and I could feel the self effects immediately. Now I have been a regular phero user for nearly 2 years and I have never had one hit me so hard and so fast as this one did! Five minutes later, FB ordered while trying to hold back the giggles. Damn, I'm gonna need buckets of this stuff...
  18. Raq, I prefer the resin scents. I've always been drawn to perfumes that are warm, spicy and exotic. When I want something lighter, then I go for citrus notes. Occasionally a floral scent will surprise me if it unique enough. However my boyfriend responds mostly to the foody scents, so I have developed a healthy appreciation for those. JOC, I'm already plotting :-)
  19. These are the samples that I have: Red Lace Goddess of the Moon Because the Night Sexology OCCO SLF Unisexy Heart's Ease Velvet Kisses Soaked Balls Indecent Exposure Fuzzy Wuzzy Odalisque Enduring Appeal Breathe Into Me Stealing Heaven Kitten Nip Strange Attractors B2 Focus Potion I also ordered the Love Potion trial collection plus all the freebies, which were a great surprise! So far, I have tested Goddess of the Moon, Because the Night and Unisexy. I have to say I am very impressed.
  20. I am new to LP and feel like I hit the jackpot. I love trying new perfumes and have been looking for more natural alternatives to commercial scents. I have also been wearing pheromones for almost a year and love the self-effects. Of course, the hits are great too :-) I have spent countless hours reading your product reviews and am now armed with a couple dozen samples. Now I have to resist the urge to try them all at once.
