  1. I'm long past cycling (tho I ain't dust yet, lol) but I read everyone's insights with interest, because I've been wondering if my using pheromones affects my 13 year old daughter. Her cycles are verrrry erratic (she started menstruating 2 years ago) and her pediatrician says she should be settling in now. I guess I had better pay attention to how she may be affected by the different ones I wear, in case I need to lay off any. Hmmm.
  2. Mara And Crew, THANK YOU (Long overdue!) for creating your endlessly AMAZING fragrances/Potions!!! Everything Always arrives in Great Condition (LOVE the pretty bags: I store my bottles by category in them). Can hardly wait to see what the Upcoming Holidays will bring! And a HUGE Thank You for your Aug./Sept. Spell lineup: Every one that I've gotten my hands on is TOP NOTCH! Thank you all for maintaining this fun and informative message board. 100% Better than department store websites (bleah). Have a great Autumn!

    Unseelie

OKay. I'll try the "wait & See" method first. It could just be from the weather shift we're having: the aromas that were luscious in 90 degree heat over the weekend smell like cheep shampoo on the crisp cool weather we're having now. Thanks!

    221B

It is strange, but I ALWAYS get tobacco in Port Jolie and some others. I thought it was supposed to be like that. But, I guess it's that skin chemistry thing. Some folks say that a fragrance is absorbed into their skin. On me, many turn to the scent of tobacco smoke (nope, I don't smoke... I enjoy a hint of its scent but I don't care to reek like a loaded ashtray). Does anyone else out there "go up in smoke" with some of the tobacco-less fragrances??

    Unseelie

I just got Unseelie as my requested freebie during this clearance, and all I can say is drat. I love smoky scents, as in woodsmokey and at LPMP the Smoking Bun, Port Jolie and 221B as well as Katerina Suite. But Unseelie smells like an ash tray (full) on me. No depth beyond that with my skin. Waaaaah, got to go wash up. Oh well, win some (99% are winners from LPMP on me) and lose some.
  6. I totally agree! I would love to get ALL the Aug/Sept collection eventually, because you never know when you or a friend will need that help. The ones I tried with intention, Whisker Wishes, Hex Breaker and Courage & Bravery worked PERFECTLY. I haven't tried my Amber Amour and Love Immortal with intention yet; I've just been enjoying them for their heart warming fragrances. Plus, I would really love to feel the emotion of Lucky Dog! I've had dogs, and when they're happy, they are SO HAPPY. It would be great to feel THAT way after a long day with a spraying water pipe in the basement!

    221B

I got this a ways back because I drool over Robert Downey Jr.'s Sherlock Holmes character and the entire feel of those movies and I wanted to wear anything that could keep me in that frame of mind without looking like a loco in a costume. I still love to come home from working and put on a LOT of this in the evening. Tea, honey & tobacco like in Port Jolie and Tea-less Strumpets are pure joy for me to wear, and 221B is the most ladylike (as in you can go visit your momma wearing this one and she won't raise her eyebrows) of this class. But I can still have my yummy Sherlock thoughts while wearing it!
  8. Hi y'all! Been traveling down South for work and fun off & on for months with one thought on my mind the whole time (ok, so there were a few others, hah!) and it was about sharing a review of Velvet and Steel enhanced with Swimming With the Sharks phero blend. Because it did the Magic I needed. Here's the scoop: We have a young tough and mean teacher who was messing up my kids minds with the WORST sex ed class ever... some of his "facts" weren't even physically possible. Plus, his extreme Puritan streak (he is probably channeling Cotton Mather) went so far as to urge kids to "try not to feel pleasure, because the other person may be feeling less than you". And so forth. Well, screech and scream. At least, that's what I wanted to do in his face! But he has a reputation for being stony and walking out on anyone saying anything he doesn't want to hear. So, intrepid me planned calm, clear & pointed things to say and sprayed on my Velvet & Steel Sharks. Then, I found him and literally cornered him in a small room corner, but stood about ten feet back (blocking exit to prevent an escape) so he wouldn't feel totally invaded. I told him that we parents had a right to know what he planned to teach ahead of time.[ At this point I should say that other parents were shocked but amused by his idiocy; no one else planned to try to approach him]. Turned out he felt that the curriculum was too brief, so he had found a bunch of materials he thought were "good" (and I DON'T want to know how much more his mind is twisted) and developed the class himself. I pointed out some of his more overt errors. After he got past muttering under his breath about "damn parents" he started listening to me. And listened. He kept trying the Wrap & Run technique of saying "if there's anything I can do to help you let me know" and trying to scoot forward. I stood and blocked and repeated my firm statements. He started grimacing and mentally chewing on my words. He started processing. [Now, here, Mara, is where another phero blend or potion could be created for the purpose of getting the thick-headed to understand more - a mental illumination potion would be wonderful!- because some people, for so many reasons, can have university degrees galore and be DENSE.] Anyway, I made my stand and FORCED him to think about it (as much as he could). Now here's the AMAZING result: next day I dropped in on a friend who works as a secretary there and she whispered me over, shut her door and told me that he had come into her office after I spoke with him muttering to himself. He was saying "damn. She's right. She's totally right. Parents ought to know what their kids are learning. I've gotta get outta this business! " My friend said, "I don't know what you said to him, but he's NEVER said anyone was Right before. He doesn't listen to anybody! But he really listened to you. What did you say?" I know it wasn't so much what I said or even that I corralled him like dangerous critter : It was the INCREDIBLE combo of Velvet & Steel with Swimming With the Sharks!!!!!!!!
  9. Lawdy. I've been off the forum for weeks, not being antisocial, just hyperbusy with manic gardening, work & chauferring the kids. And cooking (4 teens). But the draw of finding out what new aromatic goodies Mara has created for May has tractor-beamed me back to forum. And I have to get going again! Wah!! once they move out I'll probably get even more busy to avoid the lonelies in the evening. Is there a mellow-mama perfume with repel annoying people pheremones so I can get some peace. Or would repelling people junk up my karma? Hmm.
  10. I get cinnamon smoooothed into vanilla. Frankly, I don't get this perfume. On me, it smells like delish food, so meltingly yummy, how can it be ubersexey - LOL!! It's like a comforting dessert. To my nose it smells"safer" than ones like OCCO or Sugared Honey which smell, to me, like The night of Total Abandon. But I'm heading the warnings and not wearing it to the Shop & Save. Not yet, anyway... I'll forget and toddle in with it on and wonder why I trailing a string of shoppers with happy smiles on their faces, LOL!
  11. Magnified chocolate hazelnut butter cookies!!!! Only the teeniest hint of rose , some powdery feminine backgound, and Big, last all day and and fill every room I'm in Cooky fragrance. My kids love this on me. I love this on me. Although I love rose, i dont mind it vanishing on me in this fragrance. My mum's home smells overwhelmingly lavender-herbal from real bundles of herbs, yet I can smell Rose of Shrewesbury on me when I visited her yesterday. YaY! This is family pleasing scent (treasured hearts would be excellent in this) yet I find a seductve, sexy whiff somewhere down deep. This stays handy on the dresser
  12. HI BklynG!!! I'm a newbert around here too, and learning a LOT by readin all the posts! It is the BEST community here! Reading yours made me decide to try some of the social pheros for Summer. I only wear my sexy pheros before bed because they deliver a fabulous comforting scent-memory of good times that helps me have really content, deep sleeps. If you know someone who's lover is faaaar away for too long or is widowed, that's how pheros can help them. There's no one in my indoor part of my work or current social life that I want to attract right now, but The OUTDOOR part is soon to start up as the snow clears away. OK you Phero-Pros! Here's my BIG QUESTION: I work out in the Wilderness Spring-Autumn doing plant research. Obviously, since it is bear-elk-mt.lion-deer -bobcat country I AM NOT going to wear yummy fragrances to work (I'm wearing them all now!) But, since animals noses are So more sensitive then ours, will any traces of any pheros act as a food attractant if I continue to apply them at night? Any feedback from Stone Ind. Labs on this? Scent-free I've had a momma bear bring here cub up to me when I was at work once - and there were no snickers bars on me. EEEEEK. So I don't want to up my delish-level with the critters. Help?
  13. Tried the cougar - yikes! smells like cat pee on me! Nonetheless, decided to give it a go and wore it to bed and got wicked heart palpitations like I used to get during menopause. The only 'mone i've tried that did that. eek. Yet- taaadaaah- the next day I looked more Sparkly 20 years old than, well, since I was 20!! Actually, i didn't look that sparkly back then. This stuff in AMAZING. So, now i ONLY put a dab on my belly, and even that wee amount works its wonders. I have to find a good place to wear this out in public! Fun Stuff!!!
  14. This is the one to wear when you will be crammed in a bus with forty 10-13 year olds plus other harried chaperones, a priest and a lost bus driver!!!
  15. Have been using this about once a week since January'13. LOVE the Autumn fragrances - I wear them year around even though I'm a Spring person. Lumina seems to unfocus my mind and quiets my emotions. That's good for me being creative & intuitive, a "listening" state of being. OK! And it does REALLY cool things to my eyes. Yes, my plain ol' middle-aged eyes become glamourously dark, smoky. As if the best makeup dude in Hollywood fixed me up to look like a djinn or elf. definately elvin looking. Happens every time I wear this. If I didn't need to think in a logical, linear way sometimes I would wear it daily. And yes, my skin takes on a luminous quality. Thars magic in them there pheremones!
  16. My favorite pheremone so far. It ALWAYS makes me feel good, more "ME". That helps because I tend to get frayed from all the people I deal with some days. Feeling like yourself is the best way to have solid boundaries! Got my first "hit" on it, complete with violins & cupids... seriousli; I put a dab on my belly before heading out to work - just a little cuz I wasn't sure how potent it would be in a medium size room (and it was in Fuzzy Wuzzy,mmmm.). I'm in the back of the room while a worker, single & 17 years my junior was prepping for a brief speech up front, lots of happily marrieds in between us. It was like no one else was in the room. Although he's gorgeous, I'm not much interested in him (professional at work, acts mean outside of work). I'm not clairvoyant, but suddenly I'm seeing floating cherubs, pulsating rainbows, "gods-rays" of golden and rosy light, bluebirds (SOME LIKE WALT DISNEY BLUEBIRDS!!!) flying and singing and sweeeet violin music playing. [No other pheremone has done this in my experience]. Oh know!! I didn't want this to be happening to him, too! But he was coming all unfocused.falling apart distracted. I started praying "no! not this one! aagh!" I zipped out to wash up. Learned my lesson that day... REALLY think about who you'll be with before you wear the 'mones.
  17. SO Many LUSCIOUS fragrances, but The Smoking Bun is my TOTAL favcorite so far... Going to see about getting it with Gotcha!!! Sweet tobacco is insanely good with sweet & honey flavors, er, scents I could eat my arm!!
  18. Thanks for the WELCOMES!! And I do feel welcomed. Been a fragrance fanatic my whole life, but "over the counter" stuff just smells like Tide and Palmolive to me. Nice for cleaning, I guess Favorites? Probably every one at different time and moments. For a happy memory sleep,OCCO SLF, Pouncing Potion & Phero Girl are HEAVENLY. Many others work Great too! I like Mara's Rocket Fuel for day. Had a funny experience when I was first trying out pheros by day.. had some on when I took my youngest daughter to watch a HS girl's basketball game. Came in late, got stuck on end of bleachers where all the older married guys hang out working up the cool factor. At half time they all uncharacteristically took off fast to sit by their wives, arms wrapping around waists (not typical in public for the 50 to 60 age group in this area) It warmed my heart!!! Glad I could help them all accidentally. All the time, I'm CRAZY for Port Jolie, The Smoking Bun and Heart Strings. Get Happy with Treasured Hearts is GREAT for all day shopping trips with lots of stuck all-together in the van time (3 out of 4 of my kids at home are teens). Everybody is chirpier
  19. Hi everybody... I'm a recently widowed Momma in the wilds and I'm confessing that I have bought a WHOLE PILE of LP fragrances with pheremones (and lot's of yummu plain ones) since I found LPMP in January. Why the love at first sniff? Because the sexyfragrances, both with and without pheremones, made me feel calmer, happier, grounded, like a missing part of my life (the hubby lovvy) was restored. I quikly found that putting the sexy pheremone ones on at bedtime (by myself) ensured a Magnificent rest, as if I had been having all the fun in the world before falling asleep. I just feel better about everything. Plus, due to a drastic medical intervention, I have ended up post-menopaused (about ten years too early for the average in my family). My mind and emotions were NOT ready for my hormones to be all wrapped-up, and all the "light" hormonal products the obygyn tried on me were too strong - made my liver mad or something. But the LPMP pheremones & fragrances give me that fulfilling lift I have been missing. So I've been using them every night. All is Excellent. Thanks Mara for sharing Your magical talent with the world !!!!!!!!
