I know! I lovelovelove the idea behind Open Windows, having everyone around me just mellow and not stressed. Although who knows...! With new scents coming out every month, perhaps there will be an interesting new Open Windows scent soon...? (No idea how Mara times out her brewing; this is definitely wishful thinking on my part!)

Welcome from a fellow newbie! Like everyone else have said... these scents are unbelievably addictive. Have fun playing around and sampling!

Oh, and I forgot to mention the self-effects. This one made me feel happy and light, and made me want to sing out loud. I put on my headphones for the subway, and instead of reading like I usually do, I ended up just rocking out to my music for the half hour ride.

Oh bummer. When I had ordered my sample pack, Stealing Heaven was the one I most wanted to try. The description of the light scent coupled with the Open Windows pheromone sounded very ME. This was the first one I tried on immediately. When fresh, the scent strikes me as fairly unisex. It smells very green, and slightly spicy in a black licorice way (maybe a result of the vanilla/ylangylang combo??). It gets progressively 'powdery' as it dries. Not a scent that I immediately loved, but it was pleasant. Unfortunately, it looks like my skin chemistry just doesn't like this one. I tried this when I first received it two weeks ago, and again today. After a few hours, the scent evolved into something that smelled a little like bug spray to me.... slightly sweet but chemical. I ended up having to rub it off with some alcohol. Ultimately though, I really have to thank Mara for offering up sample packs for us newbies. It's difficult to guess what I would like when there are so many tempting choices, and I am loving a few scents that I didn't expect to. Most likely going to pass on this one, and maybe get an unscented Open Windows down the line.

Ha, I wonder if this scent gets the prize for 'most accurately named'. You're just walking around, smelling clean... while the pheromones work behind the scenes and makes everyone love you.

Oh man. Here I was, two days ago, declaring my love for Sneaky Clean. At this rate, I'm going to have a new favorite every 2 days as I go through my sample pack because I am now IN LOVE love with Enduring Appeal. It's absolutely timeless. The citrus notes just feel so fresh and evokes memories of warm weather and sunshine. After a while, it softens and the floral parts come through. With the included Cougar, I got self-effects of being soft and feminine, yet competent and confident. The prior review, 'light with power' is right on the nose! I'm definitely not getting 'old lady smell' from my skin. For me, it's perfect... not too bubblegum young, but not too stuffy. It's elegant but FUN, you know? This is definitely a full bottle buy for me, regardless of pheromone effects (although that is certainly a bonus). The scent itself resonates and I like it enough to wear as a signature scent.

I've given Sneaky Clean a few whirls around the block and it's currently my favorite from the sample pack I ordered! On application, the first notes that I smell are the florals. They're light, soft, clean... very much the expensive soap aura that has been described already. The vanilla comes through a little on my skin after maybe 15 minutes; just a hint of sweetness though. This is my idea of a perfect everyday scent; not too heavy, appropriate for work and social situations. The oil base is fantastic; I got whiffs of the scent a good 6 hours after application. By then, the floral notes had dulled, leaving a powdery smell. Which... after 6 hours of being out and about, I appreciate still smelling like I just got out of the shower! I can't say too much yet though about the pheromone component. I've tested it out in 2 situations (one with strangers, one with friends) and have not seen anything different. I'm new to pheromones though, so this could just be my caution of OD-ing. Luckily, since the actual scent is so nice, it will be a pleasure to play around some more to gauge the effects!

Welcome from a fellow newcomer! It sounds like you'll find a lot to love here. There are a lot of musk-y options, with or without pheromones added. I've only begun to experiment, and I'm finding the scents long lasting without being cloying. Have so much fun experimenting!

Thanks, Chikadee! Welcome to you as well! Since I'm new too, it's probably best for the more seasoned members to answer your question. I've seen a few threads (you're so right about learning from them!) about housecat behaviors with pheromones, but not sure about the wild ones. Talking about social blends... I just sprayed on some Blissful Caress ('moned up with A-nol). I think it's a really clean scent, perfect for the warming weather (OMG I LOVE DAYLIGHT SAVINGS). If you don't have this one yet, you should give the sample a try!

Sounds like you may have already put in your order, but here's what I did in case you wanted to follow: I went to the Gift Shoppe Section, and clicked on 'sampler sets'. Then I scrolled all the way down to the option called 'phero enhanced fragrance sampler for women'. I opted to choose my own, and proceeded to list them out in the notes sections. Then I added to my cart, and paid via paypal from there. I ordered about a week ago, and I was able to get a sample of Sneaky Clean. I wish you the best with everything, health-wise and man-wise!

Holy cow! I was telling myself to be patient, with the possible 2-week turnaround time. But Mara (if you read this... THANKS!) has apparently transcended the time-space continuum and I received my samples today! So I don't think I've ever been consciously exposed to synthetic pheromones before, and I could definitely sense something different as I uncorked my samples for a sniff. There's an almost... 'heady rush' kind of feeling. I'm home alone today, so I decided to dab on a little Heart's Ease (which has Balm Bomb, I believe) to see if I notice any self effects. Everything smells really good too; now I know what you all mean when you write about constantly wanting to huff on yourself. I keep a change jar that I've labeled as my 'pig-out fund'... have a feeling I'm going to have to re-label it to 'love potion fund'!

One big reason why I finally took the plunge and ordered at LPMP was because of the absolute fun you all seem to have at this forum (as well as all the fantastic reviews, the gushing about Mara's great scents....). LOVE all the support, can't wait to report back with my own experimentations!

Thanks for the welcome, and for the advice! I can't believe how nice you all are! I've had decent experience with oil scents in the past, and they seem so much more portable as a roll-on, so I'm leaning towards that. I'll make sure to also moisturize ahead of time, as ElizabethOSP has advised. But I am completely getting ahead of myself; it sounds like I have a long (exciting, fun) road ahead with testing the products first to see what works for me. A subway ride now suddenly seems like a big experimentation opportunity! Hm. Brother humping leg. Thanks for the rather unsavory image, quietguy! Thanks for the assurances though. I was thinking that anything with cops may make him feel uncomfortable, but it sounds like it's more likely he'll just think I stink (thank you, BlueBear, for the fore-warning). For the purely social blends though, he is totally my guinea pig! As he is a young twenty-something with teen-like tendencies towards one-word conversations, I'm actually looking forward to seeing if I can get him to open up and talk to me more (*fingerscrossed*OpenWindows*fingerscrossed*).

Hello! I have just recently stumbled on this enticingly crazy sounding world of pheromones, ended up reading through what seems like every topic on this forum. I finally made some sampler decisions a few days ago and am now waiting breathlessly for them to arrive. I'll be starting off with some phero-enhanced fragrances (Stealing Heaven, Sneaky Clean, Enduring Appeal, to name a few). Mostly everything will be used for social rather than sexual purposes. So my question is... I live in New York, where the weather ranges from dry winters to humid summers. My skin is on the dry side, and usually does not hold alcohol-based scents well so I'm concerned about the pheromones (and the scent!) dissipating too quickly. Once I finish with the samples and move on to full-sized bottles, I am wondering what would be best purchase for dry skin. Full-oils? Alcohol-oil blends? Or the silicone base? I see that a general rule of thumb is oils=sexual setting, alcohol=social due to dissipation... would I mess that up if I used an oil for a social blend? Secondly, although I will be using the pheromones in social settings, some of them are a little sexy (on purpose). However, I currently live with my brother in a small (tiny!) 2-br apartment. Would it be wiser to avoid application until I'm outside the apartment? Anyway, thanks to all in advance... this waiting part is so hard! Slightly off-topic, but as a single gal, it is so heartwarming to see the member support, and to read about various members' long-standing and oh-so-FRISKY marriages. Makes me smile, gives me hope.
