  1. Does anyone know if it will be possible to request PEs when the shop opens? Or should we wait until the next release? I don't want to cause trouble for the start up phase...
  2. Just a drive by review - my bottle leaked in transit and the lable is currently being slowly blotted with some tissues. It reminded me of something, and it took me a long time to work out what. You know how when fruit like nectarines are almost over-ripe and they weep nectar from the stem? It dries in sticky, glossy honey-like streaks. And that is what Aja smells like to me - not so much honey as the nectar from ripe fruit. ETA; Aja settles down to a primarily sweet, organic smell, but with a faint salty and sour back note. It is very much an organic scent that doesn't burn off like EoW, but it's lovely all the same. It's the kind of scent that would be easily covered. I am a fan!
  3. I just wanted to say that, while not all are quite my cup of tea, the PEs this month all sound amazing! Good job, guys!
  4. I'f there's any Retro Cupcake and Pumpkin Cake Batter left, I'd love a bottle of each!
  5. I have a stupid question! How does one order both PEs and GCs? Do I email through a request for an invoice for the whole order, or do I order through the website for the GC and ask for the PE invoice seperately?
  6. I hope being in a weird timezone doesn't mean I miss out on these!
  7. In my experience it can take one to three weeks between packages, even when shipped close together. Don't lose hope!
  8. This is a little ZOMGPEACH on me, but layering it with BBM is amazaballs.
  9. A little off topic, but most proposed human genetic engineering technology is actually focussed on preventing congenital diseases. The whole "I want a kid who plays the piano really well" isn't on the cards from a science point of view. Really, the closest practice to what you are suggesting is eugenics - selecting breeding, rather than genetic manipulation.
  10. Holy crap, that's a whole lot of sales! Grats to Mara for being awesome
  11. I'm super excited to see notes This looks like an amazing collection!
  12. They see me stalking, they hatin'...
  13. I don't know about you guys, but my stalking pants are silky, lacy and frilly. Stalk in style!
  14. I've been umming and ahhing about this scent. It comes across to me as a lighter, more mature cousin to Phero Girl: Dominace. I specifically chose pink rather than red rose because I felt that something a little lighter and less heady would work better for an every day use. The pink rose, however, gives it a very different character - it's the rose of a woman somewhere in her 50s or 60s who is terribly class, but has a secret bedroon drawer full of bondage gear. The chocolate rounds out the already soft and velvety rose, and the light patchouli - while present - is a very gentle bed on which the scent sits. I normally amp patchouli, so I am really pleased that it doesn't overwhelm the scent. The pepper is pretty faint and comes across as almost an afterglow rather than being at the front. I really like this, even if it makes me feel like a dirty old biddy

    Double O

Certainly a "pink cake" scent, but on me the patch comes out quite strong. My skin is magically super-ampy for anything citrus, floral or bitter (patchouli and vetiver, specifically), however. I can see how the patchouli acts to ground and 'fix' the scent so that it doesn't burn off too fast, but my skin works better with amber as a base. It's a nice, bright pink scent if that's your thing, though! Don't be scared off by my patchouli reaction - it's actually really well balanced with the patchouli tempering the pink berries to stop it from being far too foodie.

    Coco Honey

This is not quite what I was expecting; on wet, it reminds me a lot of Pouncing Potion with less fruit - I think the same honey and cocoa notes are in both. Once dried, it's almost identicle to Velvet Kisses on my skin, a cool cocoa musk that edges towards white musk but never fully gets there. It's a little sweeter in the dry down than Velvet Kisses. It goes from a wallop of honey thickened with cocoa to a coy skin scent. I was hoping for more of a Deliciously Wicked type scent, but this one works well as a sheer, sweet and musky scent for either subtle uses, or layed with something else to give it more depth.
  17. When I first put this on, I was scared of the immediate baking bread, powerfully yeasty scent. That burns off pretty fast, though, and what I'm left with is something that smells a lot like Sugared Honeycomb. It's not quite as rich, but it's definitely got one of the same honey notes in it. The bread settles down to the heart/base of the scent, and the creamy notes become more apparent. The cream and the bread stop this from being totally sex on legs, but don't push it over into baked goods. To me, this comes across as very MILF-y; the comforts of home with the sultry air of a lady who knows what she wants, and gets it on the kitchen counter while the cookies are in the oven.
  18. Rebecca's Moon Sugar "Maple sugar, lemongrass, sugar (caramelized), Amber (light/sweet); My inspiration for this scent is "Moon Sugar" from the Elder Scrolls games (Oblivion/Skyrim)" Out of my PEs, this was both the perfume I was looking forward to the most, and the one I was the most scared of failing. Rather than cramming as much cake into a PE as I can (my usual tactic), I decided to be a bit more fancy and try to do the proper top note, middle note, base note perfume composition. I really, really wanted it to work. And it does! At least on my skin. From the bottle, it smells like a lush combination of Mara's Rocket Fuel and Breakfast in Bed; lots of dark, toffee sugar with a little amber underneath. Not quite as rich, but certainly related. On the skin, the super-maple-sugar scent tones down a little and is less in your face. The lemongrass is present, but it's not as sharp or as powerfully citrus that I was worried about. It's certainly present, but it melds beautifully with the other notes. It comes across to me as candied lemongrass. It's a nice round scent, sugary without being sickly sweet, caramalized without being maple syrupy, and tangy without being sharp. I think it's the amber that holds it all together so that everything melts into a delicious confection in scent. There's a nice amount of throw without being obnoxious, and even though it's quite a sweet scent it's balanced enough that a lady (rather than a girl) can get away with it. Mara has made me a very, very happy camper.
