  1. funny, < i > should work for italics, because < em > is the same thing. Well, they do the same thing. < em > stands for emphasis, but it essentially just italicizes the words. I don't remember < c > working for centering, but <span style="text-align=center"> definitely would. CSS is not html coding itself, but more "decorative" coding to make the web page pretty. If you have it on a completely different sheet, it's called external style sheet and it should have a ".css" extension and won't work without the ".html" page. If you have it inline or internal, then you just add <style> inside the html page, and it obeys CSS at that point. Peeking at the source code, you've definitely used it several times on that page alone :::: ) http://www.textfixer.com/resources/css-tables.php <-- that site has some real simple tables that are easy to modify. If you want me to write up one so that you can just copy and paste inline, then I can definitely do that.
  2. PM: Does your website utilize CSS? It's easy to add a grid if so.
  3. omg excited!! what a comprehensive list!
  4. Thanks ladies! This might just smell delicious then. I have a strong aversion to coconut, simply because it reminds me of cheap synthetic suntan lotions and loud tourists...no offense to other tourists, but sometimes it's only the worst that leave a lasting impression... I guess scent memory works against you sometimes. :::: (
  5. Mmmmh, butter... Is the coconut strong in this one? Thinking about getting a sample.

holy smokes that burned out quick. good thing I'm not crazy for coconuts.
  7. Topper is a combo of alpha-nol and DHEAS. Alpha-nol gives a funloving, carefree, flirty vibe. It pairs extremely well with the DHEAS like in Topper. I never tried DHEAS alone, but I'm sure the responses are different. This one is great in UN spray-- it doesn't smell much to me at all.
  8. Just ordered bottles of Spinneret and LP Black (copped), and the apricot body cream from the artfire site :::: ) (there's one more left if anyone's interested)
  9. Thanky you. for me it took at least 10 minutes until the top note faded enough to meld with the supportive notes. After about 30 minutes it turned to a quiet, warm, myyrh-based complex. It's kind of a gentle skin scent at this point. And like I said, it sort of reminds me of wheat or grains?
  10. I applied the sample vial to my wrists very sparingly in the bus yesterday, and two women about 3 seats away turned around and were like "what are you wearing?! that smells absolutely delicious!" So I told them and let them have a couple swipes from my sample.
  11. Alright Ectoplasm!! Let's see...freshly swiped on, this really is a green, mossy musk. Oh shoot I spilled the vial on my pants. Ah!! Getting the smell of wet cement now. Wow, this really is a bit masculine. Water is giving that "dank" impression... Yeah, this really is a concrete basement with a slow drip leak type of smell.
  12. very berry upon application. I get the wheaty, dusty hint of flour in the beginning. vanilla creeps in to make it into a pie dessert smell. Vanilla...juicy berries...I really don't think you can go wrong with this scent if you love juicy fruit and sweets. Not really my kind of scent though.
  13. Saved this one for last out of this sub forum, mainly because I am afraid of fig. So, initial application: Wow apricot! Wow pecan! Wow brown sugar! This is very round and toasty. Apricot is dying down. I smelt the fig lurking behind the apricot earlier too. Still fruity, but the brown sugar, nuts and vanilla are keeping it in check. Now, there is a slight bitterness from the nuts (imagine the taste of the nut skin present as a scent), but that is fading, too. Ok, apricot/vanilla combo is turning waaaay up now. Kinda like original Love Potion with the apricot on steroids. I think I'm imagining just a touch of floral, but again it might be in my mind. It's staying this way so far. I...actually like this a lot.
  14. Hello miss Lotus! It's not as kick in your face as Gobm because there's warmth underneath, not coolness. The flower is slowly settling down. Warm lotus still...giving it a few minutes. my, this one takes its sweet time unraveling. ok the supporting notes are starting to come through...mmh, this is becoming cozy and warm, but still strangely mysterious and exotic. The lotus is still providing a tang to the spices. Ok, the lotus is falling asleep. A mere pip in the background. The spices are melding beautifully with the myrrh and balsam, but may I dare say that I am getting the impression of toasted grains? Hmmm, very interesting.

    Galapagos

Now this is one that I was looking extremely forward to...let's see how it goes. Just applied, wow prickly pear. Juicy and mildly sweet. I can see where the aloe comparison comes from. It almost smells like lilikoi to me now. this is so fresh and nice. I'm loving the salt, it's fairly faint though. Just a metallic bite. This is a lot sweeter than I thought it was going to be. Fruity, I think this is how it smells settled now. Since this seems to have fewer notes, it settles down quicker. Hmmm, maybe another fb?
  16. What the ladies said :::: ) I was afraid of necro'ing at first too, but it seems like it's encouraged in this forum. btw I think I will try out spinneret. Thanks for the recommendation!

    Amphitrite

Applying right now! omg what? this is incredibly airy and light. I thought MINT when I first applied. I can't really describe the individual notes, but the water accord is very even tempered in this blend. Wow, it took a turn for the sweet. It's an herbaceous sweetness. probably basil? In fact what I mistook as mint may have been an aspect of basil as well. Fresh green tannins starting to come through...wow, I'm really loving this one. This is so perfect for hot summer. It makes me think of ice cold cucumber water. It's turning sweet again...ah, that is the musk and cedar now. Now it's starting to become a bit more like perfume. I really wished that icy, airy green phase would last longer, but this is nice too. Ugh, might be a contender for a full bottle. I'll wear this one more to decide. I like the drydown, but I LOVE it before drydown.

    4th Dimension

Now here we go 4th Dimension! Fresh- woah, talk about potent! The flowers present themselves very aggressively upfront. This is dampening down by the minute though. Sandalwood is taking a supportive, base role. It turns just the tiniest green in the middle, but the flower emerging victorious is the rose geranium. Alright, the flowers are just a hum in the foreground now. This is starting to become powdery, elegant. sandalwood is getting laid bare as the flowers peel away, and even the sandalwood is turning to dust. The flower never actually goes away though. This perfume should be in one of those old style perfume bottles with thenbig luxurious squeezy atomizers on them! Definitely got the right antique vibe from this one.

    Anthea

oh my goodness this is light on me. wow, how delicate and gorgeous. I'm smelling sweet florals, the lotus isn't stealing the spotlight this time. This is so weird. Even though I just applied a perfume, it smells like I just put scented lotion on my skin. It smells high end...like a L'Occitane handcream my mom used to have. I'm getting the soft coolness of the cedar coming through now...wow, this is soo...not me. This is so fancy and gorgeous. I don't think I could ever even pretend to be Miss Anthea. I really really love this scent though. but the owner needs to be quiet and feminine and classic and beautiful, but in a long sleeve button up dress with the skirt past the knees. I want this one, but I know in my gut that I won't be able to pull it off. It really smells like flowery cream. Gorgeous!!

    Rihla

yes definitely. I'm trying to type real time as I sniff, but the true scent is most definitely after about an hour or so.

omg this is fresh dried young coconut from thailand. Fresh, I'm loving the contrast the lemongrass and mango has to offer. The coconut is starting to overpower now but it is creamy and laid back, maybe from the goatmilk? It's like coconut pudding or haupia, with chopped mangos on top. Is there cocoa butter in this? I'm starting to get coconut cocoa butter. I'm starting to get reminded more of hair care products, especially someone with African hair would use. Very tropical dessert smelling. The scent's settled for a coconut cocoa butter smell. Not my niche, but coconut lovers will definitely dig it. It's not suntan lotion, that's for sure.

Ok so far fresh off the wand is a juicy, tart plum. But that top note is quickly receding into the background after shining for a minute or so. It's starting to meld with soft sandalwood nicely. A few minutes later more sandalwood is coming out, and yes I smell it. OUD. Not much, but on me it's slightly smoky and pungent. It gives this scent that robust feeling that eastern perfumes have. Still sweet, but much more sandalwood now. I smell some spices in the background. A metallic bite. I think it's stopped transforming for now. I smell a beautiful meld of sandalwood and frankincense...it kind of smells like an unlit incense. I think a man could wear this as much as a woman after drydown, very smooth and androgynous. Oh wait, at the end the fruit is peeping through again. I guess Miss Plum wasn't finished after all.
  23. I haven't received my sampler yet, but this month both Anthea and Wonderful Things have lotus listed as one of the top notes. And apparently the one in Wonderful Things is the same lotus in Goddess of the Blue Moon. I'll be reviewing as soon as they get here :::: )
  24. I love spicy brown sugar! I've read the complaints about cops bleeding through, but...I'm not getting it? In fact, I haven't smelled cops in any of the cop-containing formulas...but maybe that's because I don't know what I'm supposed to be sniffing for. What if I'm anosmic to cops and everybody else could smell my stink?! OOOO.OOOO
