  1. welcome Samia! as a newbie myself i cannot offer any real guidance to you - but the folks here are above and beyond! i'm learning so much just by reading these posts to you. all blessings and luck to you in dealing with your MIL issues, and handling the imminent arrival of your new little one. and your avatar is b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l. i wasn't looking too closely at first and assumed it was Oshun because of the lovely yellow and gold colors, but thanks to Beccah (whose feedback is AMAZING) i see my error. xx
  2. i love, love love the reviews on this thread! these reviews, plus the fact that i love foodie scents, made this my one of my first choices in my first sample order from LP. i love the scent in the vial and LOVE it on my skin. (sorry to be redundant but can you tell that i love this? ha!) like some of the other folks, i got little-to-no orange in the scent on my skin at all. and i adore how the chocolate and coffee come out on me - sweet, but not overly so, because of a "dusty-ness" that keeps things interesting - by "dusty" i mean more like cocoa powder, and coffee beans with just a hint of the wooden barrel they've been stored in (if that doesn't sound too weird) - anyway, this tempers the scent for me a lot and keeps it sweet and delicious without being cloying in any way. the best night with it so far: wore it swiped ( on my torso and wrists), layered with my current favorite body lotion (Pure 100 Percent coconut cream lotion) and two swipes of TMI in my hair. wore it out with a girlfriend to see some of her friends who were having cocktails/snacks at a beautiful hotel bar, and then out to a see a band on the lower east side in NYC. the firends at the hotel bar (men and women) were lovely, constantly pressing me to share whatever drinks and food they were having at the time and seemed to want to be closer without making me feel like they were encroaching on my personal space. at the show later on, i felt...the best way to say it is "admired from a distance" - lots of complimentary looks from the boys without it being over the top. i didn't want to go all out with the cops because i'm married and wasn't out with my husband that night, but knew i'd be out with friends in familiar places, and was in the mood to be out and having fun and wanted to see what, if any, effect a little bits of cops would have on things. and i think i got a good balance. funniest exchange of the night: i feel a tap on the shoulder, turn around, and a Young Guy says, Young Guy: "Excuse me, but you were standing in front of me during the show..." ME: (since I was significantly taller than him) "Oh man, I am so sorry..." YG: "No, no, that's not it...I don't want to sound creepy or anything but,,,you smell amazing. Kind of like tropical...awesomeness." ha! love it! went on to have some nice, friendly, almost-flirty-but-not-really conversation with some of the of the band members and felt all around good - fun and lovely and popular, but in a very calm and unshowy way. best feedback of the night: another girlfriend who was there and who knows the band well texted me the next day: "[Dude's name] from [band] was very taken with you. Not surprising. But since he's leaving [they're from Iceland] I didn't have a reason to say you are unavailable..." so yeah. so far so good!!! am definitely looking forward to layering this with some other scent combinations to see what works. xx
  3. since i've never met a vanilla i didn't love, i assumed OCCO White would be a no-brainer from the get-go. the jury is still out, but i'll definitely have to to give this one a few more trials before deciding. one swipe on my torso (and then used that as the source for swiping my wrists)... and after the initial dry-down time (about 15 minutes before the initial cop-fruitiness started to fade) the vanilla started to emerge, but something on my skin gave it a somewhat plasticky scent, almost like a vanilla-scented candle (but not the good kind). a few hours later i could barely detect it at all, only getting a whiff when my wrist was pressed right up on my nose. and i can't even test out the cops yet because the husband's allergies are massive right now! . ah well, can hopefully give some good feedback on that at another time, heh... anyhoo, will keep on trying with OCCO White - at the very least, i could definitely see layering it with some complementray scents. xx

Thank you all so much for the warm hellos! And nice to see some other local folks here (BklynG, Invidiana...) Invidiana - Thanks much for the helpful advice. I'm liking Seer more and more, and posted a review of it in its review thread. halo0073 - Thank you!!!!Your words are so appreciated. xx
  8. Hello! I'm brand new to the LPMP world, and the only one of my samples (received about a week ago) that I've test-driven with any regularity so far is Seer. I love the scent in the bottle, and when I first put it on it gives me a soft, insence-y vibe with some woody vanilla. Thoroughly lovely. But I don't notice the smell that much because I've been mostly wearing it in my hair (about two wands' worth swiped through my hair) during my social experiemnts - whcih have been quite amazing. During the past week: -I met up with two close friends on two separate occaisions, and each told me some pretty personal stories. Not that unusual, since I'm close with them both and hadn't seen either in a while. -My physical therapist, with whom I'm quite freindly, told me a very personal and extremely hysterical story concerning her husband and a medical appointment of his. (Note: while she was telling me the story, i was lying on my back and she was seated at my head, and was cradling my head and neck in her hands) She and I get aong very well and have traded some anecdotes about our lives etc, but up until now nothing even nearly that personal. The tone was very fun and conspiratorial throughout; at one point she even said something like, "Well...all right, I'll go ahead and tell you this one..." -My boss, who's often either very curmudgeonly or overly jocular with not many shades in between, was being extremely friendly on the day on which I had to work with her the most -- her body language was very friendly and she almost seemed as if she wanted to get progressively closer to me, all the while showing me pictures on her phone and commiserating about some scheduling issues. Again, this could have been hit or miss given the extremes she oftem exhibits, but still interesting. -Sitting next to a stranger during dinner at a wedding this weekend - (Note: she'd admitted to already having had a few drinks, which I imagine loosens the tongue even more, but she wasn't by any means sloppy or even very visibly drunk) and getting into a great conversation, during which she told me something so incredibly personal that it was really quite sobering, but she was so lovely anhd friendly the whole time that it didn't make me uncomfortable at all. She also went up to the groom later on in the evening and thanked him for putting such a great person at her table and said that I was really great to talk to -I haven't noticed too many differences with my husband yet, although he has been more likely to grab me for a second kiss as we pass in the hall, or come in to 'visit' if I've been spening a lot of time in another room, and will sit next to (or even on) me, putting his head on my shoulder, other little things like that.(And yeah, I'm definitley looking forward to trying some cops now ) In general, I've been told that I have a calming personality, and it's often the case that friends/family/people confide in me, and I think this is why I was drawn to trying Seer. And so far it seems like it's definitely amplfying something for me -- especially with my physical therapist and my new friend from the wedding. One question for the experienced ones here: is wearing two wands's worth (from the sample vial) considered a "large" dose? Sorry this is long-winded - I'm defintiely getting excited about this new adventure! xx

Thank you Eggars, QuietGuy (belatedly realizing I should have addressed this to the knowledgable ladies and gentelmen of the forums), and tyvey! and point taken re: cleavage! (...and I'm also bleatedly realizing that maybe I should have posted this into the "New Pheremone User Guide" forum instead? Yeesh.) xx
  10. Hello all, These forums have been an amazing source of information for me thse past few weeks and I've finally made the jump, both in posting and ordering. After poring through the forums I haf decided to start with: OCCO White Beth's Blushing Milkmaid Velvet Kisses Cougar Potion TMI Seer I received my package a week ago (which was sent with three free samples - so lovely! - of Spark in the Dark, Sinister Pink and Eye of tthe Storm) and cannot wait to start some serious experimentation. I haven't gone to town with the cops yet but have had some amazing/interesting experiences with Seer, which is the only scent I've really tried out so far (just wearing it in my hair and cleavage) and will def post my results in a review very soon. I do have some questions for the incredibly knowledgable ladies of these forums and am hoping for a little guidance and advice. I apologize in advance, though: after trolling through the forums, I KNOW that I've definitely seen the answers to my questions, but am having the hardest time tracking down those particular pages again, and a temporary slowing of my internet connection is making it very hard to navigate around easily. So please forgive the redundancy of some of these questions! So: -I remember that cops should be worn only on the torso/cleavage and AWAY fron the face/neck/wrists/hair/clothes, because weraring them in those places could give the impression that the wearer is 'unclean.' Is this only the case for unscented cops, or does it also hold true for scented cops (in my stash, that would be the OCCO White, Beth's Blushing, anf Vevet Kisses)? -I seem to remember that if you want to lessen the chattiness'/'truth serum' effects of certain pheremones (in my stash, TMI and Seer) on youself, and have them primarily effect those around you, that you should ONLY wear them in your hair and cleavage, because wearing them on the neck, wrists, etc would affect you much more. Is this the case? -Cougar Potion, does NOT contain cops, and therefore can be worn on the neck, wrists, etc, etc...yes? Thank you for any help/clarity anyone can offer. Very glad to be here! xx
