  1. I just told BC how amazing I think this smells so if a rebrew is possible, I would love to buy another bottle (reg/oil) of Black Cat Mojo when that happens!
  2. Ok, BC, I just opened my box of goodies and your Black Cat Mojo was in there!!! I know I should let it sit. I know but I ripped that plastic right off the cap like there's no tomorrow and all I can say is W.O.W. If there is possibility of a rebrew, please count me in. This is coming across as everything you described - straight off the postal truck!!! This was definitely for the win and I am so glad that I got the chance to get one. I'll definitely be back in a few days (maybe a week) after it sits and does its thing but I literally had to come straight here and just let you know that this is fantastic.
  3. Thanks Mara!!! I paid for my four. I was so glad there ended up being some left of Make a Wish. I admit, I have slathered myself silly. LOL
  4. Giddiness ensuing! Mara, you are so super. I just got my notice!! It was just... LP Magickal Thank you, thank you. If it arrives as quickly as it has been since your move, I might be able to enjoy them before outage starts!!!
  5. I'm still waiting and that's ok. I ended up getting Blatant Invitation added to a LP Red and the Vermillion so I know it will take a bit longer. Of all the pheros I've tried, I never imagined that the one I would end up adoring would be BI. It's just exciting to hear which ones everyone loves and how its smells on them. It's Christmas and birthdays all rolled into one every month!
  6. It's very interesting to hear the differences between those who like this one and those who maybe aren't quite as much in love. I was a little iffy about the notes, in part because some I don't have too much experience with and some have been finicky in the past on my skin. I did order the sampler though so I will be looking forward to seeing which camp I fall into.
  7. You will no doubt find that around here, pairings/scents you might have never considered previously will become new obsessions. This is a great place to broaden your perception of what "lovely" is or "not my kind of scent", etc. With so many fabulous ones to choose from, you cannot go wrong.
  8. Four left??!! Yay! Mara, if anyone else comes alone and would like a bottle, I will hold off my request. If no one does before you are ready to post on ArtFire, I will absolutely take two more of Make a Wish and the last two of Linda's Birthday Wishes. Thank you! I'd take them all but I think I've pushed my monthly allowance to TILT zone.
  9. I'm super excited to get this one. BB, love your review. It sounds perfect and exactly what I envision it smelling like. I went the naughty path and got mine boosted with Blatant Invitation. That one seems to be becoming my must have phero. Can't wait to try this out!!
  10. Agree with Eggers, these are definitely ones that don't usually come off stinky at all so you don't have to really worry about covering the smell. Just a personal preference entirely but I've tended to go with the green, herbally, fresh type scents for these (OW and SWS). Not because it was necessary but because it just struck me as something unassuming in the work environment. If I need to be all business, its hard for me to do that if I smell like scrumptious pancakes or dirty sexy honey. LOL (Not that I won't smell like scrumptious pancakes at work. I often do. But if I'm forced to do presentations or deal with management, for me the fresh scents seem to give me more a feel of authority. Eggers, I love OW at work too. If there's a lot of stress in the location, it seems to calm and make everyone a little friendlier, relaxed. River Song is awesome! I've loved Art of War with SWS too but it's already phero-enhanced and I know you are looking for something to go with what you have. But I do think there's still some on the ArtFire site if you might be interested. It's very classic. I always think of Katherine Hepburn when I wear it. Always a lady with class... who kicks butt.
  11. I guess I don't have as much problem as some. My first three are relatively consistent: LP Red Cougar Rocket Fuel (w/BI or SS4W) Recent picks: Agent XXX Nola
  12. BC, back at you!! You are one pretty awesome lady!! I'm so excited to try it. It sounds pretty darn amazing so once you've posted your glowing reviews, I'll definitely be coming over to tell you my adventures!! Skydancer, welcome to the forum!!! It's a wonderful group of people here and you are going to enjoy the most amazing scents. Karma kissed - in a good way, is definitely something I could use right now so thank you for your kind words. Enjoy Black Cat Mojo! I think it's going to be amaaaaaazing.
  13. I just saw this BC and I just wanted to say thank you for seeing that and thinking of me. I truly appreciate that you mentioned it to Mara. Mara, as much as I would LOVE to try this (did I say LOVE?), it looks like Skydancer is new here and I've been very fortunate to try so many of everyone's PEs. If she'd like it, please go ahead and let her. But if you squeak out another bottle, please let me know because I really would LOVE to try this.
  14. I was going to be good and then I saw the notes! Mara, can you reserve a bottle of Black Cat Mojo, please?
  15. I've never tried it in my hair thanks to all the good advice I'd seen here back when I first arrived. I was deathly afraid of having it turn into a wretched mess!! However, there were a couple of times very early on when I didn't let it dry down enough before putting on clothes and it was horrible. I tried so hard those days NOT to move so that I wouldn't disturb the air around me and make it worse!!! I don't mind the smell of cops overall but on anything other than skin, I could definitely tell the difference and even if others said nothing, it was a noticeable stink to me. Even if the effects of others is not negative, I guess I would find it hard to enjoy them if I'm self-conscious of how it smells.
  16. Ah crayons. I used to love coloring. My sister loved breaking them as I colored. Little brat.
  17. This is so me!!! I already color coordinate my scents to my wardrobe. Can't wait to read the notes!!!!
  18. I agree with Honeycake and QG, never discount the scent factor. If you find a scent that your SO truly adores, the BI will have that much more effect because he is going to be huffing you every chance he gets!
  19. Invi, thanks for posting this. I've been meaning to for quite awhile but I've been going through a crisis of faith at work so to speak and feeling too down and angry to write much of anything. I even went into the restroom for a moment to just shed a tear and I hate that so if that gives any indication. Anyway.... You pretty much nailed it on the head perfectly. Everything has settled so beautifully in this one as well and I can really get the idea of smelling my grandma's cake she would make my mom. I told Mara that the spice cake was always light - not in your face spice but the frosting was what pushed it into the "rich" category. It was always very sweet and brown sugary, buttery. I think she created something that just completely captures that smell combination. I can totally see it as an autumn/winter scent (our birthdays being in January) and there's something that reminds me of how fresh just out of the oven cake smells. A feeling of warmth maybe. Thank you again for filling in on my flakiness. It is definitely not because of the perfume which is delicious and perfect for my mom. Just me being depressed as hell these day.

    Nola

I just saw your post MDC and I really don't think you have to worry. Others may have found it to be more present but I didn't. It seems very in the background. What I was going to add is that I've been layering this with my maple scents and I LOVE it. It's great on its own and it's also turning out to be great with others as well. I wore it the other day with Moon Sugar Candy and I smelled so good. The guy that took off running after whispering behind me that I smelled so good while wearing Armed and Dangerous also seemed to hang around me a lot that day. It's sad when our chemistry keeps us from loving this one - I've experienced that a few times but Nola, ah Nola, how I love thee.
  21. Thanks QG! At least here when I get called names, they're all a bit kinky and fun. Much better than what I hear elsewhere!!
  22. Notes: cake, custard-like filling, banana, orchid I've been wanting to put up my review for a couple of days but it's been a hard week in so many ways, I couldn't do it sooner without just saying "I love it. Thank you so much!! The end." Here's the longer version... I tore this open as soon I received my box. I had to smell how it had turned out and whether what I had in my head would be able to translate to a scent since I'm not very good at it. It smelled so good !!!! It was very banana, very orchid but I wasn't really getting the cake part. Something told me that I should put it aside for a little bit because it needed to sit and blend. So, a couple of days later, I came back to my precious and decided to try this again at bed time (not for husband, just me ) I couldn't believe the difference a couple of days would make. Everything seemed so much more blended, the cake note came out and it was just so lovely. It was a comfortable scent, a comforting scent. Since I'd slathered the night before, I decided to extend my experimentation into the next day. I wore it to work and this is where I really experienced my true thoughts: this is very light and soft. I don't think a better picture could have been used. Something about the combo seems so fitting for her. Soft, sweet, innocent and yet not. It stays very close to the skin and I did notice that I couldn't really smell it after a few hours but I didn't mind. I decided around 2 pm I was going to roll some more. Funny enough, all of a sudden my cubicle mate shouts out "I smell cake. Who has cake, I want some." I had to explain there was no cake, just me. She wasn't happy with me and even today, two days later, she is still having cake urges but that really confirmed for me the notes because sometimes I smell things differently than other ladies here. I wore some again today and I still smell how it's morphing more cake-like and blended. It'll be interesting to see if it changes further with a little age. ETA: I started out the day with left over Nola and Rocket Fuel. Believe it or not, Make a Wish went pretty darn well with it this evening. It almost kind of reminded me of a banana foster. I might be mixing and matching in the future!! I'm not sure that many of you will understand what I mean by this, maybe NuTrix will as I've heard her kind of say the same but there are two scents I get when I wear this. If I put my nose right on my arm, I get a very sweet banana floral. It's foodie. When I get a whiff just in passing, it's more blended, more complex. the orchid lingers a bit longer, it's more perfume-like than foodie. I love it just as much in it's own different way. I always find it interesting when I pick up differences like that. Anyway, for me Mara and what I was looking for, it was perfect in every way - from the bottle to the actual perfume. Thank you once again for something that really met every expectation and then beyond. I've already used up way more than I expected to at first but that's ok. I have back ups! Cuddle Bunny works perfectly with this too. It was just a perfect belated birthday present for myself and hopefully husband enjoys it too. So all I can say to summarize is I love it!! Thank you so much!! As usual, you created a beautiful scent memory for me!!

    Nola

You AND me!! I love Nola. I've gotten the chance to wear this a couple of times during the day (and at night) and I adore the combination of scents. I hadn't considered a bottle of vanilla extract but I can see why you would say that. The thought that I always get when I wear this is imagining having a vanilla perfume on and walking down a street on a summer night, a cool breeze, alcohol, desserts baking and being eaten from a cafe with the scents floating on a breeze. I always envision walking down a busy, bustling street at night and having a wonderful time. In a side note, last night I wore this one to bed and I could still smell it come morning. It layers AWESOME with Rocket Fuel. It actually made it a little darker, richer like the earlier version of Rocket Fuel w/BI.
  24. Over the past year, I've told myself the same thing Irish Eyes. Just when I think, ok, I'm good, I don't need anything this month, along comes NRs. I've had my sampler for about three hours now and I can already tell you which ones I plan on buying full bottles. And so the cycle continues....
