  1. Elizabeth and MissHazel, I didn't want you to think I was ignoring what you said. I will totally create a thread for everyone to share family stories! I was thinking of even making some of mine into a book one day, as my family always has crazy things happen to its members. Mara, I just wanted to say thank you again and again. I only wish I had the money to spring for, like, everyone I know and everyone on the boards to get bottles and share the loveliness. It's such a beautiful scent. :-D
  2. I'm curious as to how prominent the licorice and spices are in this. I amp the spices in everything.
  3. I just received my bottle of BBM a couple of days ago, and I've taken to using it immediately. On its own, I think the BBM might be a little too sweet, but honestly, I left zero time for travel shock so I'm sure it'll be even better once I give it a wee bit of time. When I was originally picking which one to order, I was a little torn between OCCO White and BBM. But now I actually have it, I'm glad I picked BBM because it has a sense of creaminess to it. Layered next to/with other scents, it adds a new depth to them by introducing the vanilla creaminess that I so love. Thus far, I've only layered it with Carolyn's Man Nip and Angela's Purple Pastry. With the former, it added some necessary sweetness to the pumpkin, and it made the latter very Fuzzy Wuzzy-like. Exciting! I imagine I'll tear through my BBM in no time!
  4. I got my package yesterday! Thank you to Mara and everyone! I really appreciate it, as always.
  5. Good luck! I'll be doing some vicarious living through your recap. Timing does count for so much!
  6. I agree with all the folks who posted above saying that Bonded would be the dominant component if layered with anything. I think the idea of layering with OCCO White or Blue seems like it would make sense. Something generally clean feeling would work well with Bonded, but I think the idea of adding LP Pink would come off as too sugary, or at the very least, would take the scent in a direction away from its clean scent atmosphere.
  7. Well, I can fill you in on that person's life since the Lakshmi in the picture is my grandmother. I made this PE for my mom for her birthday to celebrate her relationship with her mom and Mara did an amazing job. I cannot say thank you enough for helping to make my mom's day so special. My grandmother was a truly exceptional woman who loved so unconditionally and had such a gentle caring spirit that I am hardpressed to think that I'll ever meet someone else who cared the way she did. Anyway, the label image is her sitting in front of her California home. She was the first woman in her town in India to go to college and be formally educated at the time, and she even went from India to Cali to do that. And then she came back to India and was the first female principal in her state. I have a million and one neat stories about her, but I won't bore everyone with the details just now. Meanwhile, the scent notes I'd asked for were lotus, lavendar, cardamom, and white musk. I know Mara added in some drops of amber and chai to round out the scent. And one little dab lasts forevvvveerrrr, which is also great because that means I'll have my mom's/grandmother's PE for a long, long time.
  8. I've had the opposite where I love my Honeyed LP with Gotcha and I thought I was getting some subtle hits (and probably was) but since it was too difficult for me to differentiate the hit from normal behavior, I decided to up the ante and get a UN Gotcha (and it's boosted with cops, lol). Turns out, I absolutely needed a full strength UN on that. Oh my goodness, world of difference. It's all so experimental and trial-and-error, I only wish I had more funds for more experimenting!
  9. I can't wait for descriptions. Cauldron Cake is beckoning me. I'm imagining it's just yummy floofy goodness.
  10. Ooh, I'll try it that way next time I use it. I'm still experimenting with what locations and amounts get the best effects. I accidentally switched where I wear my Gotcha! and SS4W and it made a world of difference, for example.
  11. I haven't found my sweet spot yet for LFM. Boo on me. I've been doing 2 long torso stripes and a dab split between my wrists. Guess it's time to amp up!
  12. I love all the labels but Tombstone Tart and Flying Potion are tops for me! Eee! Excited to read the descriptions!
  13. Based on these previous reviews, I wore a UN Gotcha! + SS4W (MRF) combo out this weekend. I have never gotten so many compliments, and hits, and overall chivalry so much so as when I was wearing this combo. It was amazing! Like, a bunch of people went out for breakfast, and I looked like complete crap because I hadn't slept much and I hadn't even combed my hair. It was all scraggly and messy, but people kept telling me how pretty I looked and stuff like that. It was out of control. So this is definitely a combination of pheros I'm going to retest in the future.
  14. I wore this last night, and every time I do, I feel like Wonder Woman or Catwoman or Supergirl or any badass female in pop culture. Like if I were the CEO of a corporation and just loving life, this is what my molecules would be made of. It is just pure confidence, and I love it. And the Rocket Fuel portion of things, the creamy goodness as always. Never overpowering in its mapleness and just a wonderful scent for autumn.
  15. Oddly enough, I baked just that for a family party yesterday!
  16. You have read my mind, this is what I've been hoping for October too!
  17. Exactly! I think I was getting thrown off by all the reviews mentioning it in spray form. But I suppose I forgot to consider the trial sprays and also, that some folks are super precise in their applications whereas I'd probably accidentally get it in my hair and have a new mess of issues. Thanks, Dolly!
  18. I've read all the reviews of BI multiple times but I'm still curious - would those of you who have it say it's more effective in spray or oil form?
  19. After reading that it was the same lavender from Fuzzy Wuzzy, I knew I had to snag a bottle somehow. So off to the trade threads I went and I tried it on the second I received mine. I'm so happy that it's the same sense of lavender! Now I can't wait to see how it pairs with BBM to add to the lavender vanilla vibe. In the meantime, on its own, I am in lavender heaven. I don't really get any coconut but I do get a powdery musk sense in the drydown (maybe that's the coconut?!). In that sense, it is calming and baby powdery fresh.
  20. I wanted to say thanks! Since everyone was so helpful, I wound up ordering a bottle unsniffed. I'm hoping that it'll lend a new twist to my bottle of Carolyn's Man Nip especially, since the pumpkin has been reading a little squashy and flat to me. I'm excited to see how the pairing will work. I started searching for it and thought I'd read it on here once but I can't find it again - I know Mara said that BBM is pretty much considered to be OCCO-like in terms of cops dosage, but what is the actual difference in EoW amounts?
  21. How sweet would you all say this scent is? I keep noticing people wearing it a ton in the "what's your lp of the day" thread, and it has such good reviews here. I've been curious but afraid to get a sample off the trade forum out of fear it'll be too sweet. Double O kind of scared me in that respect and I know the only thing they have in common is vanilla, but when that month's scents were released, something just felt similar to me and made me shy away.

I tried my sample of this today. Yum! I smell like a warm oatmeal cookie. The oats were present before drydown a bit more prominently, and after everything dried, I get a lot more honey and maple blended in. It's very sweet but, to me, the perfect amount of sweet that makes me smile. It's another scent that I think will be really great for fall. And as someone who loves baking, reminds me of baking cookies in the kitchen.
  23. Haha, I described it as super sexy only because the singer (Miguel) kind of reminds me of a modern day Prince (or the Artist Formerly Known As, or whatever symbol he goes by now, lol). So the sort of music is definitely lending itself to a particular atmosphere. And don't worry! I'd never go crazy and try to be someone who I'm not. I enjoy me! Thanks, everyone, for the suggestions as always!
  24. I'm a disgruntled house elf now! I guess this means I'll be thrown at people during sales.
  25. I am in love with this scent! I get a lot of cherry before it dries down, and then hints of the spice from the pumpkin begin emerging. It is sweet but not overly sweet and just screams playful and fun and pink to me.
