Probably not the answer you're looking for, but what I found when I first started with pheros was that a LOT of experimentation was the way to go. I didn't always get the same results from pheros as other people - everyone is different. For this purpose, phero'd samples are your friend and the trading post is a great resource! Have fun and play with as many different blends as you can get your hands on to begin with. After a while you'll get a pretty good idea of what works well for you and what doesn't. For example, I know now that blends with alot of A-nol tend to not work well for me, even though they work extremely well for others. Est blends, on the other hand, work wonders! But you may be (and probably are) completely different, so the trick is to find what works well for you. Good luck and have fun!

How would you wear scents with these? Would you actually put a cotton ball scented with perfume oil inside the locket? I'm kind of intrigued!

I like it too! I have a list a mile long of which sugared scents I want, but since I've backed WAY off of purchasing LP's this is the only one I've actually bought, and I HAD to buy it because that's me on the label:) But I do love it way more than I expected - like you said, it's very smooth and warm without any sharpness that I expected. Also I have a sort of painful memory association with cloves, but I was happy to find that I could wear this scent without it bringing back the bad feelings.

Since I was browsing and this thread came back up I thought I would add a bit more now that I've had more experience with this. This scent, more than anything else I've ever tried, definitely depends on my skin chemistry. I'm not sure if it has to do with time of the month or maybe my diet, but sometimes this is gorgeous on me and sometimes it goes very plastic-y. I haven't quite nailed down when it's "safe" to wear it and when it's not, so I tend to just wear it when I know I'll be home in the evening. It does have a sort of cozy feel to it - although I'm sure "cozy" isn't quite the word I'm looking for, it's the closest I can find for it right now. I believe it is the cherry that goes plastic, and that if there were no cherry in it this would be an all-around win for me.

How about...Absinthe of Malice? I know there was some reason why the exact scent couldn't be re-brewed, but I'd love to have something similar - this is the one LP I'm really sorry I missed out on. Also The Big Easy - I can barely use my bottle any more for fear of running out.

Well I haven't posted here in forever...haven't bought anything from the shop either, sadly, but this is my year of being responsible with my finances. So I made my first LP purchase since I think November...samples of everything I just can't live without from the past couple months, plus a bottle of Whisker Wishes because I missed it last time and I couldn't stand to miss it again! I miss all you ladies here (and I miss new potions, lol) but just had to get some things in my life under control and sadly this is one of the super-cutbacks I had to make. So excited though to get new potions in the mail!

For some reason I remember, from my one testing a LONG time ago, that this scent was very sweet and candy-like. I don't know if I'm remembering wrong, or if my skin chemistry/tastes have changed, but it is nothing like that now! I could detect something spicy, which I'm sure was the carnation, but it wasn't overly-floral on me. Overall, sadly, I didn't like this. When it dried down the honey definitely came out, and honey almost always smells really dirty on me, so then this happened:

This scent is so slutty it made me feel like I was doing some kind of Pom Pom girl roll play all day long. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Seriously.. all Civet, musk and pink carnation. The Neroli and honey give it depth. The white musk 'tries' to clean things up a bit.
It's horney cheerleader in a bottle....seemed to leave an impression tho. ;-)
If you like fun, totally original, novelty, sex scents, this will do it. Bold. All you need is a bottle of Strawberry Boon's Farm to do it right.

A recent Etsy order shipped today too - I'm totally expecting them to come on the same day. It always happens with my mail - nothing for a long time and then - boom - everything all at once!

I mentioned at the start of this all I would only brew what had been ordered, but the number of different ones ordered is so vast, that I realized I am not going to have time to do a September set as usual. The Sugars are coming out sooo great, soooo awesome, I really want to devote my time to getting these right, and as fast as possible to get them to everyone. So, halting everything to work on a Sept set doesn't make sense.

 

Honestly, Mara, I have to say thank you! I already pretty much have my September order planned out, and I was just thinking that it was actually a bit stressful to ME to have NR's in September - I can't even imagine how much work it would be for YOU!!! I really want to start on the sugared line, so I thank you, and my bank account thanks you too:)

Finally placed my sales order, and I think I did pretty good! Assuming I got everything right, that is.

I bought a backup of Love Immortal (I may have to buy a few more, when the budget allows!) and finally a bottle of Sweet Pea Cupcake. I also last-minute ended up with a bottle of Sleep Tight Might (like really last-minute, as I originally couldn't get one but I was an alternate and a bottle came available. I had to completely re-arrange my order, which puts off getting any of the sugared line for a little bit, but that's okay since they are more-or-less permanent.). Oh, and I got a sample of Come To Me Lover, because I just have to try it out. So then with forum credits I ordered Sweet Surrender, which bumped me up to two freebies, so I have bottles of Breakfast in Bed and Vieux Carre coming from the sale. AND I JUST REALIZED THAT I FORGOT THE BOTTLE I WANTED FROM ARTFIRE!!! Crud. So maybe a bottle of Naughty Nurse too, maybe not, we'll see!!!

I have no idea!!! I'm a bit frustrated really, because the one thing I didn't want to happen in the sale was for Kanary Kremes to sell out before I could get a backup bottle. And...of course it did:/ The only thing that's keeping me from being really upset about it is the awesomeness of the trade board. I feel like all is not lost!

So, this is considerably altering my purchasing plans for the month. I was hoping to really whittle down my wishlist, but now my order might not be so large.

I think you're going to get lots of different answers here, as things work differently for different people. For myself, it would be Super Sexy (the only blend so far that gives me "happy" self-effects), Cuddle Bunny (because it's gotten the best response from guys, but it's pretty cops-heavy so you have to be careful in using it), and then it would be hard to choose between La Femme Mystere and Teddy BB - I really like them both. But for me, a-nol usually never works well OR I OD quickly and get negative self-effects. Many of the other ladies here love the a-nol blends, and I'm sure there will be alot of answers including things like Cougar and Lace. That is why I think it is so important to experiment and know your body chemistry. Personally, being very money-conscious, I would (and did, when I started) start off by buying samples that are phero'ed so you can play around and find what works for you before jumping in full-bottle.

These are awesome! Even though I've been here a year, sometimes I still feel brand new - I think I know who a few of them are. I do hope alot of people let us know who's who!

My advice: trial vials are awesome. And after you've ordered once or twice from the main shop, you should check the trade boards here. You can get trial vials of ALOT of different stuff there, and most people will freebie you as well. My second word of advice - pay attention to what's actually still available and what scents are gone. When I first started here I kept getting samples of stuff I would fall in love with, only to find out that it was no longer available in the shop. I do have to say that ALMOST everything I really, really wanted, I was eventually able to buy off the trade boards. But that was a big frustration for me when I first started.

I wish I had known what I was doing last year, then maybe I would remember it better this year!

The sale makes me really nervous...I know I could get some good deals, but I think it also means that some scents will get sold out and gone forever. I'm trying to prioritize the scents that I know I want/need IF they happen to be available.

As I feared, the honey goes dirty on me. Don't get me wrong, I REALLY like it, but it's just not wear-able in public. I may try it again in a few weeks though, because today even Honeyed LP went kinda dirty which it NEVER has on me, so maybe I need to try a different time of the month.

Yeah, it seems like hitting 1000 is going really, really slow!

To be fair though I wasn't here much for about a month or two - that slowed me down!

I think I was kind of so-so when I sampled this. Hearts, you make me want to hunt through my sniffy pile and try it again!
