  1. I had a sample of this in my stash, and I can't remember if I ever tried it....

    It is *gorgeous*!!

It reminds me a lot of LP Pink, but with some nice, fresh flowers added; florals tend to get a bit screechy on me, but this one just melts into my skin until I feel like a lush, fresh - actually, I mistyped that as 'flesh', so let's go with that; a lush, fleshy, gorgeous, dewy flower!

Got some sweets hits from it as well; the flower guy gave me a 6th plant for free with the 5 that I bought, and then someone else struck up a conversation when I walked home through the park, complimenting me on my (very long) hair (he himself was shaved bald, which suited him very well).

Cute guy, we chatted for a few minutes, then I went on my way again.

He was at least 20 years younger than me... :D

Seriously, what is it with people asking me if I'm a student??

I am nearly 50, peri-menopausal, rather overweight at the moment, and my hair is around 50% grey....

I was wearing a long, hugely oversized cotton dress (all my clothes were getting too tight and uncomfortable, but with this dress I was overcompensating a bit) and 'granola' sandals, no makeup, etc.

I live close to the university & student housing, they are everywhere here, and I do Not look like a student - more like a student's mom! ;)

  2. Try tweaking the amount you wear. I can wear a TON of Cougar... I always get hits- it's almost fail-proof.

It could be that Cougar doesn't work for you... But it's worth a try!

I am such a phero lightweight, I tend to use very tiny amounts... If I wanted to slather Cougar I might have to get it in UN, since none of the scents so far are ones I can slather.

Hmmm, I don't think this was one of the samples I got during Pheromas, drat.

Will keep it in mind, thanks! :)

Ohhhh!!! Never thought to add Aja to this! I bet it's ammaazziinngg!!

    It's lovely! :)

Aja has become my go-to sweeten-upper for stuff.

  3. Yay, finally a scent with Cougar that works for me!

It starts out a little too green perhaps, which made me wary; rather sharp and floral.

But fortunately, after only a few minutes, the earth note comes out to play and it nicely grounds the whole scent; the green aspect mellows out a little bit and I'm left with something that is lovely and fresh and invigorating.

Kind of sparkly, very clean smelling; still green, but not as sharp anymore.

If I want to sweeten it up a tad, I sometimes add a small touch of Aja, which makes it slightly more exotic somehow.

Haven't really noticed any phero effects yet (and never did before in any of the other Cougar stuff I've tried); perhaps I'm not congruent with the phero?

Which would be ironic, because I do tend to go for younger men...

Anyway, this scent works well enough to my skin to wear regardless of pheros.

  4. Dang it..sweet little old church lady.. in a mauve frumpy hat. Boo hoo!

    Ow, what a pity!!

Your description made me laugh though, it's about the opposite of what it smells like on me. :Emoticons04263:

  5. I really want to try Aja, but I'm scared I'll be attacked by bees.

    Not being funny, totally serious.

I know exactly what you mean!

It's February and pretty cold so no bees in sight yet - I've been wearing it a lot lately (layering it with other scents usually) but I think I will take it out of rotation for a bit during the summer months.

  6. This is extremely light on me; lovely, but very very light.

It's like fresh tea with just the merest hint of something sweet; a single cherry blossom, perhaps.

I really like it, but I had to use about half the sample vial to actually smell it - and I'm not normally a slatherer, rather the opposite.

I made sure to put some on the collar of my shirt and the edge of my bra as well and while almost unperceptible, the smell did linger throughout the day, giving me tiny subtle whiffs of it every now and again.

    The phero worked fantastically though!

It made me and everyone I came into contact with cheerful and friendly and relaxed and helpful.

    Great stuff!

I may have to get a bottle of UN next month or so, if I can manage it.

  7. I really LOVE this fragrance! It's soft, warm, musky, slightly sweet, and very peaceful. I slept well after putting a good slather on. Did notice very vivid dreams, like someone else stated.

Platypuss, as to your bitchiness dilemma, I've noticed a similar thing when I wear Balm Bomb sometimes. If I'm not already feeling calm and balanced, it can make me feel more irritated, like it's making me more sensitive or something. Weird.

Ah, but I don't feel bitchy at all - I'd feel quite cheerful and lighthearted, and just say some bitchy things off the cuff!

    Tis a mystery. ;)

I haven't worn it for a few weeks now, didn't really seem appropriate for the season. I might just skip wearing it for a few more weeks, see if anything has changed after that.

Altought the mean reds struck hard this year, so even if it's bitchy, any kind of cheerfulnes sounds pretty good right now....

  8. Yum, this is such a favorite!!

And, even though I can't smell a trace of the cops, it's really really effective... ;)

It's such a warm, comforting scent. I can smell the dough, the raisins, it's like walking into a kitchen where lovely things have been baking and you open the oven and you get a blast of heat and scent - wonderful, especially for this time of year.

It's rather strong and lasts well on my skin so I only need a little bit.

During the day it morphs slightly, gets a little bit less like fresh dough and more like fresly baked goods. A really logical progression basically!

It's probably one of the most foody scents I have, but it also combines well with a more sheer fragrance, grounding it and warming it. :hearts0425:

And the name, of course, it endlessly amusing!

  9. I'm not really a pink person but Beach Goddess and the rest of you on this thread are such great advocates for LP Pink that I might have to try it. You all make it sound so... necessary!

I am not a Pink Person AT ALL (I don't really get along with Occo Pink for instance... :Emoticons04277: ) but this is still one of my favorite scents ever - just SO good and cheerful, and not too pink, if you know what I mean. :wink88:

Just get a sample vial to start with?
