Well, like you, I LIKE that they change...and my commercial perfumes smell thin and tinny by comparison now. It is entirely possible that part of the problem was I put way too much on...it's now 10 hours later, and I smell good. And I can smell a bit of vanilla. So maybe I just overdid it and need to calm the heck down with the roller bottle. I did that once before, getting overenthusiastic with my new Cougar Potion sample...and people moved away on the bus. But when I applied a reasonable amount, it wasn't overwhelming at all. It was just interesting that other people were describing light, fruity scents, and that's not what I was getting. So I'll try to remember that more doesn't mean better!

I hope this gets better, LOL. Put it on 4 or 5 days after it arrived and it smelled like pure Vicks Vap-O-Rub. Washed that off and shook the heck out of it and put it on again and it smells like Vicks Vap-O-Rub. Dammit, I must have weird skin chemistry or a bad nose, because I'm getting no fruit at all, definitely not banana or fig, and no vanilla. It's been 2 hours, I'm gonna leave it on and see in a few more...then wipe it off and try again. Luckily my husband's out of town, because I can just imagine his reaction. I liked this one when it first arrived and I smelled it in the bottle. Why??

Got my package!! It came so fast (although it does seem like kinda a long time when you are waiting)!! It's my last 2 weeks before I leave the husband forever and move back to the US, so it's kinda a rough time emotionally...and it was absolutely fantastic to get a package. It always feels like someone bought me a present!!! Everybody's no doubt travel shocked, but most everything smells good!! My favorite so far is the Exotica...spicy! Yesterday I used Crayons: Blush (wanted to try out the Perfect Match). I didn't really like it. It smelled like I used the bathroom potpourri spray as perfume. But I went and read the reviews and people said that it really changed over time, so I resisted the temptation to scrub it off, and it did change, so I smelled like something nice instead of like a walking Yankee candle. Bet it's even nicer after a few days' rest. Hmmm...what to try today? Maybe the Exotica. But I need to get chores done, so maybe Totem: Bat with LFN...that gets me motivated.

Hi! I have bipolar, and Crohn's, lucky me, and I've found the pheros very soothing. I sleep better with a touch of Teddy BB than I ever have otherwise. And cheering, too. As you've found, there's a mix for everything!! In November we get to buy samples of unscented pheromones, so can try lots of stuff!! As for the expense, well, honestly, it's about the best money I've ever spent. I know that sounds goofy!! So don't worry too much. Soon you'll have a decent stash. And you can sell partially-used bottles of commercial fragrances online. Or use for bathroom spray.

I got SWS in Lap of Luxury, which is also nice and fresh, if there's any left on Artfire. Best wishes for the job hunt...among other things!!

My orders are getting bigger.... I got Totem: Goat for my friend who loves goats (in the goat barn at the county fair she told them, "just look at you, you're SO smart. Not like those sheep..."), who might be going on an actual-factual date someday. And I got, let's see...UN Gotcha in 60/40 oil spray, also Crayons: Blush, in a spray, and Under Your Spell from the Artfire store. Plus samples of OCCO: Gold, Rocket Fuel, BAM: sugared vanilla and honey, LAM: Buttercream Peach, Totem: Bat and Totem: Lamb. Watch out, world!!!

I know, I know!!!! Tropique smells like fish Terra Mater smells like veggies Rouge smells like birds Fraise Citron smells like ice cream and octopus I really can't figure out the others, though.

I reviewed H&S in the Papal Purple scent before...this is for the unscented version, which I ordered in a 60/40 spray. I generally use 4 or sometimes 5 sprays, hair, back of wrists, and THE ENTIRE RIGHT-HAND SIDE OF BODY, because that's the side next to my Personality-Disordered soon-to-be ex when sitting at the kitchen table or in the living room. Haven't noticed much of anything going on with me, but this stuff is MAGIC with him. He can work himself into quite the rage, but I get within whiff-distance and he calms RIGHT down. I wouldn't believe it, except I see it...again and again. He had no or even negative reactions to Lace, and this works way better on him than the Empathy Blend, I'm wondering Androsterone? Epi-adrosterone? Maybe the combo? Good call me on getting the unscented. With the Papal Purple I got, "you're wearing that perfume again" until I told him it was the new body wash. I didn't want him to start noticing that I'd head for the bathroom and come out smelling Papal Purplish whenever he got riled up. This works great. I can even put it on my hair, fluff it around a bit, and it'll hit him from across the room. Yay! Life got better!!! Thank you, Ail!!

This is gorgeous, definitely not girlie-girlie, just very cool and smooth. I can smell the bamboo and yuzu initially, but then after a couple of hours it's pure, light, pretty flowers...and normally I'm not that into flowers. I used the sample oil, which normally has good staying power, but this one is max 4 hours before it's gone. Sad!! Have noticed no pheromone effects the couple of times I've worn it, but I wasn't interacting much those days anyway.

OK, update again. I'll post the ones I haven't reviewed already in the reviews section, this is just an update. 2nd order, The Big Easy with Teddy BB...it was recommended as calming and non-threatening. I mainly use it as a "welcome home" and "dinnertime" scent to keep things on an even keel. Works well. When I first read the reviews everyone was talking about making them go to sleep...that didn't sound like something you'd need a pheromone for...but it's become my favorite way to use it. Pillow spray or in my hair, and I sleep quickly, soundly, have nice dreams, and wake up earlier. Love that stuff!! Got Empathy Potion (unscented) and Garlands and Lace with Lace. The Empathy Potion I find incredibly useful for haircuts and doctor and dentist appointments. Scored a free plant at the flower shop and a free soda with my pizza, too. The Lace is kind of "meh"...gets me all excited with nowhere to take it. After the divorce, maybe. 3rd order, Heart and Soul unscented and Crayons: Gamboge with Levitation Potion, both in spray. And Lap of Luxury with Swimming With Sharks, in oil. I have to admit, I got the Gamboge just for me me me...love the pineapple scent, although it doesn't last long. And the Levitation Potion makes me feel more in touch with things, the world is a little brighter, I'm a little more present. I'd say it's like an antidepressant, but it's more like a pro-happiant. Heart and Soul is The Big Gun. He goes from grumpy to cuddly and remembering happy memories. That stuff is awesome. Swimming With Sharks? I would not hesitate for one second to wear that to a job interview. Makes my ultra-bristly guy RELAX and ENGAGE. Very receptive to what I have to say, asks follow-up questions, quits jumping to conclusions. I'm sure that there's a whole lot more to learn, but I'm a believer!!!

Can't say it much better than Vladmyra: "the golden scent of childhood happiness on a warm, carefree spring day". I am going to get a full-bottle spray of this, first because it smells so happy. Not entirely sure about the Levitation blend, but I thought things looked "sharper" and "crisper", like I was more in the moment, not walking around on autopilot. I used my sample up double-quick, so on the off-chance that was because of the pheromone, I decided I need this in a spray for summertime.

I was expecting something more sharp and herbal, but this is lovely!! Powdery and greenish. The pheromone...doesn't seem to have a HUGE effect on my soon-to-be-ex, but maybe calms him down a bit? I have been spraying it on before I go to sleep, and I've noticed some real effects there: I fall asleep more quickly, have calm dreams, and wake up very naturally at a decent hour, no matter what time I went to bed. I think I need this forever!!

I like the Papal Purple, but since it's sold out, this review is basically for the Heart & Soul pheromone add-in!! The Papal Purple smells good in the vial, but even better after an hour. It smells like the inside of a cathedral, but not as musty. The Heart & Soul seemed to make the soon-to-be-ex follow me around and keep thinking of things to tell me about work. Interesting effect, not so interesting information. I didn't notice any effect on me, other than being a bit annoyed. But of course, I asked for it by wearing that!! I'd think this would work great when trying to get to know someone better, and I think I'll have to order when it comes with a different scent.

I use an online discount system (similar to LivingSocial or Groupon) to make such appointments: easier than phoning for an appointment with my ultra-basic French, i get a discount, plus I can read reviews ahead of time. The place today had a whopping huge discount, was nearby, and reviewers said the haircuts and coloring were good. Also said that the people were a bit testy and it could take 3 or 4 hours for a 2- hour cut-and-highlights. I sprayed a bunch of Empathy Potion on the back of my neck. What a good idea that was! The worker was alone when I arrived, and seemed kind of nervous and snappish...but after combing through my hair once, she started saying that she knew just what would look great, that she was going to do lots of thin highlights because even though it would take her longer, it would look better and more natural, and she started joking around with me! Her boss came later, very stressed-looking, and told the worker to leave me sitting for a while and deal with the other customers...but after she came by my chair, she asked if I wanted a cup of coffee (just me), and then asked the person she was working on to wait while she stopped everything to cut and dry my hair! And said "I will make a beautiful cut for you"! And it is!! I tried to be friendly and patient, and I gave a nice tip, but I always do that, and every other haircut I've has in France has been HORRIBLE (counterintuitive, I know...but, no lie, the 2 worst haircuts of my life have been here. 6 months apart, because it took that long to start growing back). And this is very nice. So I will give the Salon a good review, but I think a little Empathy Potion didn't hurt. Edited to add: It also works great at the dentist's.

Hmmmm....Ms. StacyK makes tons of sense. Not to mention, in college I actually did answer the hall phone in the dorm like Dorothy Parker until I was told quite sharply to quit. Unfortunately or fortunately, with all assets overseas, no chance to do much but bluff. I've consulted attorneys in the US, France, and Japan, and the advice was, "you'd be better off hoping he does the right thing". Great. But I can't say there's 0% chance. I'm pretty sure he doesn't have my level of info and thinks American divorce is scary and to be avoided. And we are in the same room sometimes when it's daylight. But you are SO right, StacyK...of course all defense mechanisms will be fully extended. I mean, look at me...I'm being semi-duplicitous and everything. So...I bet the Dom will not be well-received, but I can get some and try it out over dinner some night. If CNN reports someone getting stabbed with a fork, that'll be me. SWS might be more the thing. "She knows what she's doing, and that's actually kind of cool" is my interpretation from the catalogue decription. I think what I want is "I feel magnanimous today, can I sign something to help the little lady out?" But not, "because I want to never let her go". Anyway, bottom line, I'll end up single, so I already win.

To re-cap: In addition to scoring me a cool new haircut and 2 free croissants, "Empathy Potion" and "Heart and Soul" have made my life a lot easier vis-à-vis my personality-disordered soon-to-be ex, "Biffy the Narcissist*. What I want is to get a signed settlement so we can complete the divorce. Haven't got that yet, but the stuff is definitely keeping him mellow. Gone is the constant muttering about how his life sucks because he'll have to go from keeping all the money to giving me some while I keep my paycheck, too. Butch the Whippet got 100% goofy when I wore Empathy Potion, which has DHEAS. He walked backwards all the way to the wall, then charged full-tilt onto the bed, slid, rolled over on his back and waved his legs in the air like a nutball. He can be goofy anyway, but he's 10, and this was like puppytime!

I debated getting a full-sized Levitation Potion....maybe that's Question #3: which pheromones have the best self-effects for you?
