Good for you - you will love it (and if you don't there are plenty of people on the trades that will happily take it off your hands!) There are no pheros that I find sedating either (kind of wish I did!) but I will say the BB cools my jets after a long day or lifts the heaviness of a crap day so I can relax. (But- RELAX does not mean SEX although I think most males think it SHOULD) I haven't tried to use Beautiful Dreamer for meditation, but I bet it would help someone like me who finds it hard to empty my mind long enough to get or stay "centered". I referred to it as a namaste elixir in my post to Eggers... I should probably put my money where my mouth is!

EXACTLY D, I'd settle for a couple 'loads of laundry (sorted, washed, iron/folded ).... My SO tried to play the 'clean house' card and fell miserably short, LOL...I quickly learned that "clean' is interpreted in a lot of different ways- especially by Y chromos. Probably just a nice way of saying if it's not important to them they'll do a half assed job. That's probably the truth. They all are pretty simple/transparent. I love the insert idea/disclaimer idea!

....OMG E - my thoughts exactly! I find lavender, soothing and calming , SO not "Oh wait dude! Let me slather myself in Lavender EO & get my thigh highs, stilettos, and crotchless panties out too!" (JK... I don't really use all Of those at the same time )Beautiful Dreamer is friggin awesome though... I just prefer it to be my special 'Namaste' elixir. Especially when there are SO many other LPs that fan the "sexy time" flame...

OK I thought I did the "correct" application of EoW... I showered, then applied just a selective bit - cleavage, torso, small of back. None near face or hair or clothes. Walked around naked for the better part of an hour (TMI), no oil "sheen" left on skin. Applied virgin LP scent (Fraise Citron I think), got dressed, but I was really bugged b/c IMO I still had that 'ripe' smell that goes with EoW (and I can't imagine that my SO would find that attractive - unless there's a subliminal olfactory connection that the Y chromos make, regardless) On the flipside, Sheer essence and Occo's I get little or any lingering cop aroma. Even Sexpionage I handle just fine after the 15-25m drydown. Should I just forego the direct application and just use it as a stash to boost some LPs with EoW. rather than attempting to layer? Then I can go by Mara's instructions above (# of drops, etc.) I just thought having it in RB offers the flexibility to wear more of my LP favs without permanently altering them. Any advice is appreciated.

This one really reminds me of LP Fraise Citron, which I absolutely love. I mean - so close that in a blind swab of both on opposite wrists I can't tell the difference and neither can my husband (well, ok, I have to factor in the sometimes-lacking male opinion/judgement here since rarely does he care about minute differences in scent.) Amazing that they share half the same ingredients, and the other half is different. It will be interested to see how each changes on it's own after the usual testing intervals (15min, 1 hour, 2 hours, etc.) Then again it may be my chemistry because (on me) Inspire Desire smells more like Fraise Citron than Atomic Mandarin - yet that seems to be the common comparison in earlier posts. Bottom line: you can't go wrong with ANY of that list (Darline Clementine, Catalina, Atomic Mandarin, Fraise Citron or Inspire Desire) because Mara does such a remarkable job with the common notes in all of them. AND it certainly is a comfort to know when you are searching for just one of these GGGs - you might score something close that you'll love as much or more.

Stumbled across a sample of this that I FORGOT I had stashed. This one reminds me of G-String or Honey Ho... definitely honey-forward on me, but not too bad at all. I just have to be in a honey mood (otherwise I think I just smell like sex, even though I know that's an olfactory connection I can't quite understand!)

I've really grown to love Beautiful Dreamer, because it really does kind of cool my jets from a stressful day (or lift me up from a crap day). However, through unintentional experimentation I have to concur with LV and Donsie about the strange effect it seems to have on my SO... I just wish it put ME more in the mood because my intent (an important factor here) is NOT at all what his intent becomes when he inhales it as it wafts over to his side of the bed. The first time I noticed this was after I had SLATHERED myself in BD because I was irritable, stressed and wanted to sleep... and here he comes (no pun intended) ready to romp. Major fireworks (and NOT the good kind). I'm not one to arbitrarily throw another phero into the mix to try and get ME moving in that "other" direction - especially when Balm Balm is already in the blend. I could see a couple of drops of EoW really enhancing HIS effects, but I'm guessing that unless I purposely wear this as an aphrodisiac, I need something virgin that is close to the same wonderful scent as BD... or could it be made virgin? I was surprised to learn how much my SO likes the scent of lavender - specifically the kind in BD (other more mediciney lavender EOs aren't his cup of tea). Guess I need to save this one for a Someday SpaDay or at least be somewhat open to something besides immediate sleep.

I'm with Rose... I'd love to see OCCO Ambrosia come around again. Even IF it's different because of the available ingredients. Sometimes 'different' turns out to be even better than I ever imagined, so I remind myself to keep an open mind!

Welcome rob leeds I'm so glad when I see guys joining the forum to review some of Mara's awesome man-smell LPs. I have recently bought many MANY samples and some FBs for my husband - searching for something that he'll like (and a phero-boosted one that I will like) Everything you've ordered is great - my fav of that bunch is Dark Desires. DO read up on the pheromones and their use though - don't use them irresponsibly, LOL. The only one I can't seem to like is Dirty Old Man - and my husband doesn't care for it either. I'm sure it's the cops, but this is where dry down and patience factors in. Looking forward to what you think! BTW I'm a gal... but I've not been able to fix my avi photo for 3 weeks... still trying to figure out what changed (probably a computer/settings update on my end that I'm totally at the mercy of until I figure out how to switch them back, LOL)

I'm not a usual "floral" gal but lately I've noticed I'm drawn to some floral notes of Mara's (as in some of the Spell Potions) so who knows what my tastes are morphing into these days. I worked backwards - thinking I'd just order favs like in the sugareds, but the "fav" list became ridiculous (just like the sugareds!) Curiosity will get the best of me I'm sure and I'll want to smell 90% of them... they all sound wonderfully layerable. And the labels have that super hypnotic "you have to have me" vibe.

I second that emotion on SD, Holle, With Every Breathe...I haven't smelled the others so I can't comment but I'd BET I'd agree. There are SO many of the "legend" scents that never EV-ER come up on the trades so I'd like to see some of those be reincarnated, so to speak.

Anniversary... I would think 'Perfect Match". However, if romance is definitely on the menu, Voracious is mysteriously different... it certainly stokes my fires when my husband wears it. Congrats and many more

I concur on LP Red. My very first LP order was LP Red with Cops and it's still one I flip flop with Compromising Positions. My last LP Red bottle I just ordered virgin. Even on it's own it is very sexy. LP Rouge is a different direction for me, especially with the LFM. I really like it alot, but not in the same way as LPO, CompPos and LP Red (yes, OK, I added LP red to my favs now that I was reminded!) These three are kind of a romance trifecta of sorts for me... I might start out my day with LP Original, which makes me feel comfortably romantic and loved. Come home, shower and get dressed for 'date night', with a slather of LP Red. If the evening is headed in the right direction, then I would pull Comp Positions out of my purse and set the stage for when we get home. My SO finds me pretty irresistable with all three, and his level of romance/sexual overtures tend to increase with each (in that particular order). The only embellishment I might add to this scenario (I'm very curious about it) would be to add the LPO Olive and Apricot Cream after the pre-date night shower. I'd love to know if anyone's used this combo And of course if any vets see a red flag in this routine (like adding CompPos over the LPO cream being Cop overkill or something) please set me straight!

Wow you have STRONG willpower! LPO is the one fragrance I'd pick if I were exiled on a desert island... although if there were a male companion, Compromising Positions would be a very close second. And Looney Tunes "Feed the Kitty" is one of my all-time fav cartoons... but I added the "don't be sad" note on the pic because the pic always makes people sad until they see Pussyfoot hiding, watching the entire thing with Marc Anthony & his "human", LOL.

donsie I cannot believe you've been here this long and never tried LPO! I agree with SirenSong - even though I have way WAAAAAY too many LPs, LPO is perfect. Every. Single. Time. And if you haven't tried the Wax Tarts with LPO you are missing out! Mara can't make enough of them

Sugared Bamboo * A combo of my favorite fresh and watery bamboo oils, softened and sweetened with white and powdered sugars. I couldn't find this one in the list, so I took the liberty of starting it - I hope that's OK with you PM, Halo & Luna. ETA: My 2 cents... I just got this one in my last order and it's everything I imagined. Clean, fresh and definitely unisex. I slathered it on after a shower and noticed immediately how calm, happy & rejuvenated I felt... no desire to layer this one (at least right now) with other sugareds as it's is a wonderful unique scent on it's own. Thank you Mara for adding this to the collection! Or maybe the thanks should go to LeWiz for the initial suggestion. LW certainly knows his fresh, green scents!

This was a sleeper hit for me... just luscious... not too sweet, and not too over-the-top fruit either. Layered this with just a dab of Sugared Honeycomb and it makes a wonderfully sexy combo! My husband couldn't stop huffing me (and there were no cops or pheros in play). I'm amazed at how versatile these sugareds are and how they can take a lovely scent to an OMG scent. Coming from someone who has yet to work up the nerve to make a PE blend, the sugareds are an ideal practice run to find out what single notes and combos I love. Granted, they're all "sweet" rather than plain base notes, but I gravitate towards the sweet blends anyway.

LOL QG leave it to you to come up with something. I actually LIKE this idea however... hanging from the car mirror. Could make the time in traffic bearable.

There are a lot of threads asking for recommendations, all very interesting and helpful, but I'm starting to get lost in mansmell land again. So - to just cut to the chase - I'd like to know from you guys (and gal's too if you have favorites on your man OR unisex ones you love too) if you had to pick your TOP 5 fav's from LP for guys/unisex what would those be?
