  1. A few days ago I put in an order for:

    Beth's Blushing Milkmaid - FB

    Flutterby - FB

    and trials of

    Phero Girl

    LP: Rouge

    Comp Positions

I also ordered Nekomusume and Liquid Moonbeams over at Etsy.

But my addiction will not let me out of its clutches and so I am already compiling a list of my next order. (Which if I get a refund from elsewhere I'm waiting for this order may be next week) So far I am thinking of:

    LP: Pink - FB

    Unisexy - FB

    trials of:

    LP: Ceremony

    LP: White

    Eve of Darkness

ALL great selections CerisLou... you've only just started to see how easy it is to become lost in the land of LP!

  2. I will just say that this one goes down in my LP recipe file, in the same 'exclusive' category as Compromising Positions, Honeyed LP and LAM... The first night I received TCS I slathered and I thought it was awesome - but husband couldn't deal with the patch (yet Compromising Positions drives him nuts). So I had to find a delicate balance. The subtle surprise addition of pepper and coriander really give me a salacious little vibe. :666: And of course I'm sure Bang! factored in here somewhere, but I didn't get that kind of immediate reaction with Coquette only.

Tyvey's Chewy Spice is one of 'those' I'd love to have in a wax tart or simmer oil... it really is something very unique. Tyvey comes up with some goodun's that's for sure.

ETA: Good suggestion BB... I will try some of my fav sugars with Coquette!

  3. OK girls... Tyvey's Chewy Spice over Coquette (which I believe has Bang! but not sure at this hour/particular situation) husband is noticably hot and bothered... and this isn't his usual "what smells like hippie incense?" reaction to me over-slathering some wild intensive honey or patch-laden LP lovely (which I admit, I've made into SO-bane by putting TOO much on). He keeps "hovering" which I find delightfully bewitching as I wait to see just what is poking the embers in his campfire... more to come. (I could say something here but I won't.) I had put on my Coquette earlier... and on a wine-induced WHIM went in to my closely- guarded closet and picked up TCS (which I love) & dabbed it gingerly on pressure points over Coquette. Pussyfooted back into the living room and my husband took about 3 minutes to react to the scent and suddenly 'perked' up. Excused myself for 5 min to come enter this! I will update tomorrow :rabbit4::green_smiley_monster::CHUBBY~214:

  4.

Also, ordered a bottle of Unisexy because LP has infiltrated my family to the extent that my parents are asking for things boosted with B2 and Balm Bomb because it helps them sleep so well.

:Emoticons04263: "infiltrated my family" that's a good way to word it. I've done "clandestine infiltrating" by burning phero-ed wax tarts. MLH/cherry pie works miracles around the Y chromos in this house. Now that you mention it, I'm going to take a bottle of Balm Bomb to my mom and see if that helps her recovery... thanks for the idea BC!

  5. I wouldn't say it's soapy/clean at all, but everyone has a different impression. It has a masculine aura to it, certainly, but it truly is meant to be a unisex scent. It's one of my favorites.

I totally agree Luna. It is a great unisex blend, and for me anyway, very hard to describe as leaning distinctly one way or another (scent-wise, I mean). I have noticed, quite by accident, that I seem to really adore several of Mara's scents that have Tonka listed as a main component - including some of the men's scents - so I'm guessing that's one of those 'notes' that I'm drawn to (even though if you stuck a Tonka Bean under my nose I probably could never identify it as such). I don't know if a Sugared Tonka Bean is even something that's do-able, but it's definitely one of those things (like Bamboo) that I'd now get in a heartbeat because I'm sort of "connecting the dots" on what scents I (now) realize I love individually. Are we still campaigning for Sugared Boysenberry? I'd get on that bandwagon as well ;)

  6.

I'm sorry to go off topic for a sec but this just made me laugh & tear up simultaneously. I want to be in the middle of this armload, seriously. Mara you find THE best pics for shock, awe and general warm fuzziness.

I was thinking tonight as I used my Sweet Dreams and Comfort Potion how much I love the labels on past Spell stuff - especially those causing me to pause (and miss terribly) my feline familiars who graduated before me... But, have to be honest I am thrilled with this new "brand".... Each of the designs is so intricate & unique on it's own, yet the congruent nature of the overall artistic 'theme' take the Spell Potion mystique to a whole different level, IMO. Women just ROCK. I'm proud to be even In the same gender arena as you chicas.

  7. Seriously... these would be awesome talismans, on parchment and framed. I'd love to have the Peaceful Home one in my front entry. And I say again... what a cool tattoo many of these would make (trying to get the nerve before I'm on Social Security) ElizabethOSP (I don't feel worthy enough to call you Batsy as that ToE should be reserved for the founding few) you are quite amazing. I would love, as Mara hinted, to know the story on the manifestation of these. Thanks for sharing your gift. :blow-kiss:

  8. Descriptions and notes generally come together when Mara creates the page for each scent; but she posts the labels here on the forum first.

Yup. 'S what I figured... I knew you would set me straight Luna, thanks.

I'm still just 1 (in LP years). Leave it to me to get one more DUH newbie post in for old time's sake. And although I knew better, I was secretly hoping it wasn't always the same every time. I need to stop stalking the Stalking thread and go do something productive. :Emoticons04269: Like organize my bottles and samples.... again. :purr:

  9. Probably a dumb question... but will everything magically be on the home page at once, or will we be forced to salivate in stages (i.e. labels first, here. Then notes, then descripts, THEN home page)? :Emoticons04280: And will details of pricing/sampler packages (I'm assuming this is a double-month at least) be simultaneously revealed?

  10. Has anyone tried layering this with any of the sugareds or another scent? I love how it smells but it seems to disappear so quickly for me. Its spicy creamy goodness for a bit and then nothing. I love love love the smell of it though.

Don't laugh but I got this and Spring's Lusty Cherry... intent on trying ONE on each wrist, I accidentally layered them on my left wrist and the combo was yummy. I'd probably try Sugared Coconut or Cherry (after my Lusty Cherry faux pas) I love this latest brainchild of Miss Tyvey... so glad I got 2 bottles. It is hypnotic and.... well, CHEWY for lack of a better term.

  11. Something about this blend just sucked me in and won't let go... when I first got my pheromas sampler, Coquette went in the "it's ok but not FB caliber" column. I kept returning to it however, and then panic set in as I realized that little sample vial was now bone dry. Wet, it still seems a little sharp, causing me to hesitate (and I don't slather it - I'd rather build swipes if needed) but it dries down beautifully. I can't tell you I'm a fan of "fig" scent (wouldn't know it unless it smelled like a fig newton) but there is something present in Coquette that gives a subtle, fruit note that is yummy - certainly sets it apart.

It is unique, intriguing and the first scent using Bang! that I've actually gotten hits from. It is very hard to describe the various nuances present in Coquette. It is hauntlngly different and sexy (without being overpowering with a thick honey edge as many 'sex blends' have)

Inspired me to go out and buy a gorgeous corsette to wear on NYE too! Both were a HUGE hit with my SO.

  12. Mara is the Queen of Photoshop! :D She creates all the labels!

Oh I know that Luna, Mara has incredible photographic eye as well. She's got artistry than spans a number of different genres ;) I simply don't know how she has the time to handle every aspect from brewing to label concept/design to marketing!
  13. This one is one of the best almond LPs I think... I actually scored a virgin one (w/o LFN) and one with from the trades. Mara does Almond scents SO well! I wondered why I liked Land of Nog so much... then I realized it was because it reminded me of BTN!

Cutie.Pie I got the package from Halo today and your's is wrapped up snuggly... will add it to the ones you want from me and email you the shipping. Glad to be your middle woman on this one - you will LOVE Because the Night.

  14. I have no idea in what amounts, nor in what order the notes were combined, but I think when I spoke with her I paired the apricot with the almond and then the coconuts with the cucumber. Four notes and Mara's fabu-magickalness!

BTW, Mara, I am going to try a sample of Vieux Carre. It sounds yummy.

I love all those notes so no wonder I used it up fast...

My husband still thinks I smell like a Hurricane (the New Orleans drink) everytime I wear it, LOL. It conjures up some scent memory for him I'm sure bcuz as far as I know, not one of these ingredients are in a Hurricane. :w00t:

And Wendy I should have known the ingredients... I was the first post on this thread because I was so eager to sing the praises of H&H. I totally forgot I started this. :cat690:

  15. That's interesting! :) That is why the reviews are so helpful. People explain their real world experiences with the different pheros and that is very useful for other people deciding on which pheros to try. If people hadn't mentioned the other benefits on Dom and LFM then I probably wouldn't have tried them already but I love both of those.

I agree totally... I've learned much from the reviews from others and especially from the forum vets here. As it pertains to pheros (their EFX, usage, etc.) there are a handful that really know their stuff (Potion Master and Halo for starters) so don't hesitate to ask questions if you aren't sure about something. I've also realized that pheromones are fun to experiment with - but you have to do so wisely because they can backfire with misuse. Again... I can't stress enough how important it is to read, read, read the forums and pherowiki material. :wizard: It's really interesting and you'll find it (albeit gradually) sinking in to where you can be more confident in your choices.

  16. Would anybody buy Sugared Bamboo if it were available? :Emoticons04269::Emoticons0804::nope02716:

I KNEW I WASN'T DREAMING! It was Le Wiz' idea waaaay back in September! :king: I think he should be on the label peeking through bamboo stalks... I could probably make that happen via photoshop PM if you want me to take a crack at it. He is Mr. Photogenic so it shouldn't be a hard thing to do, LOL.
