  1. This is a creamy floral that doesn't go punchy (florals can sometimes slap me and make my nose hairs tingle). I think the peony and wisteria are calmed by the sugar, and amber/musky notes. The musk is velvety and the florals are prominent but not screechy. Love, love, love. I remember watching the bottles dwindle down to only 3 before I had to break out of my budget and just buy a FB before they sold out! It's worth it, Siren Song! Just keep your eyes peeled in the Trades!
  2. This is probably my second favorite phero (only bested by the trusty LFM) in enhanced perfumes, so I definitely need to get on the UN spray bandwagon. I know this is an old question but, if you're coming from the phero-enhanced scents, approximately 1/3 the strength of the UN's, with very good results, would it make sense to go straight for 2x in alcohol? Has anyone ever OD'ed on Mega Cougar and ghosted?
  3. You're very welcome, QL! You've actually piqued my interest about UNE. Heard some things, but now I'm really interested... ETA: Sad face, it's all honey and I can't do honeys or bee pollen! Oh well. Enjoy the luxurious honey bee life for me!
  4. Welcome, QueenLove! I absolutely LOVE your avatar--it's smokin'. And by the sound of your first haul, you'll be even more smokin' yourself pretty soon. As a relatively new person myself (less than a year here), I think the one thing that sticks out as far as advice and experience (especially with pheros) is "less is more" when starting out. Believe me, it is SO HARD to do, considering there are so many amazing perfumes! But in hindsight, I noticed that some of my best "hits" when first starting out happened when I applied just a couple of swipes out of those little trial vials. Never underestimate the power of the samples, lol. They really are the best way to go at first when experimenting and trying a wide range of new scents and pheros. Good luck, and enjoy! (I really like Coquette, LP White, and the 2015 Glamour Potion. Check those out first! hahaha)
  5. There are quite a few like that for me, Donsie. I feel like all the LP standards are like that. One day I took a whiff of Betrothal Potion and LP Original and it just clicked for me how masterful these perfumes are blended if I can set it aside and it becomes better with time.
  6. Can't remember if I've ever posted here but... I've been hearing a lot about Celubutante, Gypsum White, Body Paint, Fuzzy Wuzzy, and Tickle Tickle. I'm oh so very curious about those. Just about anything Lavender Vanilla. OH! And Seer! That was so friggin' divine!!! (I have to be careful though because it has True Confessions, and I'm not about spilling my guts to anyone right now.)
  7. Shiitake mushrooms!!! I'm finally reading this and grasping what all this wonderfulness means! I just put in an order for a full bottle set and could have redeemed two trials. Grrrr! I guess I'll have to wait for the next order to try LP Flutterby and LP Tropique. :'(
  8. That's exactly it! Thank you Donsie and Bella for solving the mystery of my fuzzy mind!
  9. Maybe my brain is trying to curb my spending, but I'm suddenly confused about the full bottle set rules... When it says "any 10 of the potions of your choice (but no more than 2 of the same one)" does that mean I can buy two Fascination Potions, and then only one of the rest? Or can I order two Fascination Potions and then two Hex Deflections, etc.? (Did I hallucinate that sometimes full bottle sets include two free somethings...? Apologies ahead of time for the supremely dumb questions--it's after Tax Day and I've been grinding an axe with our legal offices today. )
  10. Thank you thank you thank you so much for getting out the spell potions set in just days! They arrived so fast and at a time when I could use some magickal interventions in my life. Also, the bags they came in were green, which is the first time I've ever seen green ones and also the same color as my birthstone. I felt as though there was a powerful connection between the color and the powerful little trials within. It couldn't have just been a coincidence! Anyway, I appreciate the swiftness and awesome collection. I'm way overdue because I forgot about this particular thread unfortunately, but thank you for everything all the way back to corrections to my order from October. I appreciate y'all!!!! All the best, until next order!
  11. Received my spell oils, and just wanted to squee when I saw the green bags--emerald is my birthstone and green is one of my favorite colors! Thanks so much!
  12. Something pretty disappointing just happened in my personal life, so I was really down on Sunday. Thankfully, I spent Easter with my family, and decided to wear Winter's Grace with Treasured Hearts to the dinner. Usually I get really blue for some whacky reason with TH, but I suppose already being pretty morose, I figured there was nothing to lose. Unlike the times when I tried Terra Mater w/TH, Winter's Grace w/TH actually gave me a sense of calm and peace. I was still sad from the night before, but it felt distant and almost tamped down, because I was so grateful to be with family members and just be around them. I realized how much I loved each of them, and was glad to even be in their presence. It wasn't a big, banners and balloons, "AW I LUV U GUYS" kind of loving feeling. It was more, "This is my family, and they care for me so much--just like I care for them." Before, during, and after dinner, everyone got along so well and smoothly. It was the quietest, most comfortable family event in a while. On a strange side note, I noticed no one raised their voice that day... Not even to shout between floors or out the door when someone was taking the dogs outside. Everyone maintained a conversational level volume. Which is interesting because we like to get excited and yell comments over the television or interject loudly while watching movies if something silly happens or shocking. I agree with Halo that the enhanced perfumes are probably best if you have troubles figuring this one out. It's totally worth the try. Welcome, MelaninEnriched! So glad to hear you hit your sweet spot already with Terra Mater. I hope you expand your collection and report back with us on more experiences!
  13. Welcome, Crazyred! And thanks for asking such an interesting question. (I've definitely wanted to know the answer myself, I realize!) I'm one of the newbies as well, but in my limited experience, I find that I feel most sexy while wearing Cougar Potion. I'm definitely in the category of women sexually stimulated. When I wear Cougar Potion, I almost feel like, "Damn girl, you're looking good enough to eat today!" Unfortunately, I've actually thought that passing a mirror "on Cougar" lol. If feeling sexy and womanly is a factor for your release--as it can be for some women--I definitely recommend the unscented Stone Cougar or Cougar Potion pheromone-enhanced perfume. For me, Cougar feels like lacy black lingerie and warm diamonds against your skin.
  14. Everyone has made great suggestions, which I may be utilizing myself in the upcoming days... Personally, I am obsessed with Totem: Bat and the ways its scent paired with the LFN wears on me like black velvet. I accidentally drew the attention of my current target guy while experimenting with the scent at work. He is a reserved person who keeps his cards close, but he boldly came all the way out of the woodwork and honed in the ONE day I wore it, haha. I think it oozes mystery and sensuality. As for Leather, that one feels like rocker-chick chic for me, and not very sexual at all. Kinda like the cool chick at the bar with the well-fitted band shirt and "lovingly worn" chucks. I think both would suit your dating needs well though! [Disclaimer: My very early (read: heavy-handed) experiences with alpha blends revealed that I turn into a hardass, with generous application. With my personality, it often steered the effect out of powerful, sexy, and straight into powerful, and you're an obstacle in my way. Lol. So you may be able to stay femme and fierce whereas I couldn't. ]
  15. I agree with StacyK. After letting mine sit for a about a month, the leather has definitely calmed down. Still prominent, but the florals are able to come forward more. I'm still highly undecided about keeping my bottle though...
  16. I have worn this scent twice, and I still haven't been able to place the individual notes on my skin. It's probably that I'm just not paying attention when I roll it on, or it may be that everything just smooshes together with my chemistry. Regardless, in the bottle the sugar and marshmallow come forward before the green-ness, but the leafy note prevents it from going foody. There is a tiny hint of smoke for me. Like, about 4% if I were to put a number on it. On my arm, I get no smoke but definitely marshmallow/sugar and green musk in close to equal amounts--almost as if I was using some of the Sugared Layerables. Since sugary and light musky scents are my favorite kinds, my nose is still happy. My skin unfortunately drinks this up so after about an hour, so I barely get more than a very close, sugary skin-scent. It's great though! I'm sooo glad that I took a chance and snagged a bottle.
  17. Hmmm. This one was my "out-of-the-box" PE choice, with notes I usually wouldn't choose. I maybe smell the white florals after drydown, but that leather makes such a big impression at first--my brain finds it hard to turn off afterwards. This reminds me of my favorite leather coat which was stolen a couple years back. This smell brings back fond memories of autumn afternoons and winter nights wearing light, floral perfumes beneath the coat's strong leather musk. The bittersweet memories are great, but my bottle of WLBL may have to go up for sale/trade soon. I have my eye on three FBs of the November 2014 Releases, and I'm really not in a position to drop more money on The Addiction... I'll give this one maybe a week or two to settle some more and re-test. ETA: I hope you are doing well, Birkeys--all the best wishes for getting through this rough patch!
  18. This is quite subtle. I've slathered this on all over my arms and neck, and it still wears extremely close for me. Wet, the lavender is prominent but not pushy, with a slightly creamy sweet sugariness bringing up the base--is that you marshmallow? I don't catch the amber at all, actually, but the marshmallow (one of my favoritest notes) isn't all that obvious to me either so I'll just chalk it up to the mysterious talents of Mara. The lemon is ever so slight, and helps keep the lavender airy and out of the 'medicinal' range. (Although, I personally like that side of the note.) I went against my best judgment (and budget) to purchase two bottles. Definitely don't regret it! I may give my other bottle to my mother, since we're both lavender fans. She tried some on her hand, and it went more creamy sugary lavender with her chemistry. Mine stays a little bright (leaning towards the lemon) with a smooth cream base. I'm curious now about claims that this shares similarities with Tickle Tickle. Something about Tickle Tickle just grabbed me! The label, the notes, the pheromone pairing. Hmm, I wonder what Lavender Cake would be like with Gotcha... Although, I feel like Lace and Perfect Match would make for wonderful mates too.
  19. I'm not quite sure why it wouldn't work for us, Tink, but you're right that it just may be the way things are. I've tried Terra Mater multiple times since my last post, successfully without headaches, but also without the positive responses everyone else has had here, unfortunately. Generally I feel grumpy or subdued. This one seems tricky to get a sweet spot on, but I'm convinced it's worth figuring out so I'll keep trying! I was considering an UNscented spray, but I'm not sure if more concentration would help or hurt considering it's been touchy in the enhanced scents...
  20. Can I just say, I appreciate that Frida's Lotus often seems to have the same questions I do... Lol. Thanks especially to Donsie, MissDarlynCherie, and Hearts for your helpful responses!
  21. Yes, that is correct, Mara, I would like to reserve a second bottle--sorry for not being more clear! That should makes four bottles for me in total: Pink Lavender Cake x2, Woodland Romance, and Black Leather, White Lace. *closes eyes to bank account* Thanks!
  22. OMG, please reserve the newly released Pink Lavender Cake for me! I am totally blowing my budget way before the month has really gotten underway, but those notes are all my favorite so it's hard to resist!!!
  23. Dangit, looks like I just missed getting a second bottle of the Pink Lavender Cake! Guess, I'll go with my next choice. May I reserve a bottle of Lina's Woodland Romance? Thanks so much.
  24. LOL! You know, Luna, I saw your comment and thought, "I hope she doesn't think I'm a contrary little snot because I said it's definitely wintery." I do agree it would be a welcome perfume for summer to provide a light and refreshing scent.
