  1. Velvet and Steel is one of my top 3 LP favorites. (It actually competes with Ebil-ish 2014 for the #1 spot.) So imagine my surprise when I saw that Tropical Musk has a wonderfully similar scent at Velvet & Steel. I agree with Wendylynne and hearts in that it has a hint more coconut than V&S. It's a thick, rich coconut on me, and it blends beautifully with the bamboo. It's not as green as V&S, but I think that makes me like Tropical Musk even more. This is the perfect tropical scent without being too on par with suntan oil. It's very grown and sexy tropical.
  2. Gloria is calling me like a moth to a flame. Luving that label!
  3. I've never tried Tranquility Potion, and usually I'm not one to want a mellow effect. (I'm a recovering energy drink addict.) But this one surprisingly appeals to me. I'm about to lie down now and yup, I'm reaching for my little trial vial. Curious to see what I'll feel like in the morning after a full night with Beautiful Dreamer.
  4. I'm usually not a fan of lavender as it goes all medicinal on my skin. But this past Saturday the red river was flowing, and since I'd never tried BB, I figured this would be an excellent time to try it. This is the first lavender scent that I've immediately fallen in love with. It's sweet and thick and rich, riding on a creamy vanilla cloud. I actually think it's kinda sexy. I only had a swipe on my hand and I laid in the bed with that magical hand close to my nose. I was asleep with drool on the pillow in 5 minutes! And that's with no pain killers, so Balm Bomb appears to be sedative to me. The good thing is when I woke up an hour later, I felt like a million bucks. I was relaxed and happy as a mofo even though I was still crampy. So for beating my period blues, Beautiful Dreamer gets 4 tampons up and a FB purchase.
  5. I wore this one yesterday (2 sprays to the neck) and today (3 sprays to the neck). Before I offer my review, lemme just say that sweet spot testing is my new mantra. At 2 sprays I sat down in front of the computer and got so much shit done, it was almost unbelievable. I'm talking MAJOR focus power here. I definitely got a creative boost too. (This is something I desperately needed.) As far as energy, it was like perking up after finding $200 in an old jacket pocket. I had some butterflies going and a bit of smiley, confident excitement. Confident is a good word here... kind of like the 'determination' that halo mentioned. I totally get that vibe too. For me it's not really a physical boost as much as it is a mental strengthener -- and that's great for me. I'm a writer, so anything that keeps me in the zone without boosting my heart rate is a-ok in my book. Today when I tried 3 sprays I didn't feel the same smiley confidence. I could feel something, but I believe it was more like a crash. The focus power I'd felt yesterday wasn't there at all. If anything I felt a bit draggy. So yeah... tomorrow I'll be sticking with 2 sprays. I'll report back again, but so far this is FB material.
  6. Great review androstenol! I'm seriously looking forward to trying Mega Watt now. The whole focus/creativity angle is perfect for me. I love self effects like these. And how awesome that you see auras... even if it is on occasion. I did readings for many years, but I never saw auras visually.
  7. OMG Cougarrifc... I thought it was just me with the TMI boo-hooing! So a few weeks ago I tried three sprays of TMI... one to the neck... one to the back of the neck and another to the back of my hands and smooshed. I felt good, kinda happy-go-lucky. Went to a Fridays to get some potato skins. All of the bartenders were SUPER attentive to me. I've been to this Friday's on a few occasions and it was slightly over-the-top how nice they were. That was definitely a TMI hit. Once I got home though, the 'shit-hit-the-fan' switch immediately came on. My father passed away last month and it was like every awful feeling in the world came pouring out of my heart. I mean it was a deeply emotional tear fest... I cried like you wouldn't believe. And while I was crying it hit me that TMI might have something to do with this, because I was happy, happy, joy, joy just minutes before. I immediately got in the shower and washed it off. The truly hilarious part is, when I got out the shower I was perfectly fine. I mean fine like nothing had happened... sat down and ate my potato skins. I will DEFINITELY be more selective about my TMI adventures. Perhaps I had too much wafting close to my nose with it being on my neck and the backs of my hands. Plus I did have a really strong margarita to boot. I should have heeded the warning about alcohol and TMI... the struggle is real!
  8. Uuuugh... I'm so mad that I missed this one. I love Gamboge and I'm a pink fanatic. Alas I can only imagine how divine this must smell. I'm with phergineer... might have to get my own PE!
  9. I have White and Pink. I wear White a lot, but I think the Pink had travel shock when I first got it a few weeks ago, and it smelled really 'ewwwwww!!!!' to me. Just went into my LP stash box and pulled out the Pink again... OMFG! It smells 10,000% better since it settled. Doesn't even resemble what I initially whiffed when it arrived in my mailbox. Seriously! It's luscious and sweet, just the way I like it. I should've known better. I have several LP scents that have beautifully morphed like that after a week or so. Glad I read this thread... feels like I just got a new order!
  10. I wore Dominance for a second time yesterday. The inner self boost is really, really nice. Still made me feel comfortable with me, which is something I needed right now. At Walmart the cashier greeted me (and only me) with a great big "Good Morning!" Full eye contact and everything. She hadn't greeted any of the other customers that way, so I assume it was the Dom at work. I still need more testing around women. Got home and was carrying the groceries up the stairs to my apartment. I passed one of my guy neighbors on the stairs and said, "Good morning!" Later that afternoon I went to check the mail and that same neighbor had his door open (presumably to get some air). When I got back upstairs he came out of his apartment and started talking to me. We'd never really spoken beyond a passing 'hello' and he apparently wanted to get to know me more. We ended up talking for a good 25 minutes. And since this is Miami and the heat is still really real, I know Dom was jumping off my warm skin and into his nostrils. Three different times he told me if I needed anything -- ANYTHING -- just to call or knock on his door. And yeah, he was a bit flirty with me towards the end of the convo. But the offer of assistance reminded me of my escapades at the laundry the day before. (See that post in this thread.) Dom seems to make men want to help me. This is my official 'chivalry is not dead' potion and I LOVE it. Still more testing to come, but so far I feel like I could get a lot of favors done with this blend on.
  11. Vladmyra... I'm a very easy going, fun loving person. I tend to make friends with all kinds of people -- the Gemini in me. But in general, I'm not a domineering personality. That's the main reason why I didn't think Dominance would have a significant role in my arsenal. But now that I've tried it, I realize that it doesn't change me. It just amps up the confident parts of me. It makes me feel even more comfortable and awesome in my own skin. And it feels like the natural me, only better. It's not as though I spray it on and turn into insta-bitch. I don't want to go kick anybody's ass or anything. To me, this is comfortable confidence -- GirlFriday style. La Femme Mystere does this too, but Dom does it more so for me. Dom makes me feel like I can handle whatever comes my way. My thought (for those of you who aren't naturally domineering) is that it will boost the confident parts within you.
  12. I debated about buying Dom. I had something like 15-16 bottles in my cart, and Dom was at the bottom of the list. (Why yes... I did go batshit bananas this month.) Dom was one of those "Aw, what the hell!" type purchases. I figured it would be good for the gym, and that was my initial goal this morning. First spray to the chest -- nothing. Second spray to the back of the wrists -- nothing. Third spray to the neck -- ooooohhhh yeah! Sweet spot target found. In my mind, I'm swinging my head around like Axl Rose. I'm every woman. Feeling like I could get frisky on the kitchen counter. And yeah... it did make me feel taller. (I'm 5'4") But since this is Thursday morning, and there's no BoyFriday on the horizon, I gathered up all of my shit and headed to the laundry. Now mind you, nothing EVER happens at the this wash house. People aren't real chatty here, and mornings are usually pretty empty anyway. Needless to say, I wasn't expecting any miracles. There was a mechanic there working on a few of the washers. I approached him and asked if I could use the washers next to him. He told me I could, but I decided to use some of the washers in an aisle over. When he realized I wasn't in his aisle anymore, he peered up over the washers and said, "Oh I'm sorry, you could have used those." To which I replied, "Oh, no big deal. It's okay!" Over the next 30 minutes he and I locked eyes around 3-4 more times. He even found a sock I dropped on the way from the dryer and brought it over to me. Seemed a little 'active' for a normally sleepy laundry establishment. I thought it might've even been a fluke. And then... During my stare-fest with the mechanic, a guy comes in to do his laundry. He puts his clothes into the washer in my aisle... directly behind me, in fact. Since I was already a bit warm, I knew he was catching my Dom scent. He ended up standing directly next to my washer, even though it was completely empty in this place. I had to say 'excuse me' just to get to my clothes. Okay so he puts his clothes in the dryer and when he's done, he walks over to me and says, "I have 12 minutes left on my dryer... would you like to use it?" Considering the mechanic went out of his way to bring me my wayward sock, the whole "Use my dryer" spiel immediately reeked of Dom's influence. Both men wanted to do stuff for me. I have had some nice hits with LFM and even Cougar, but these are probably the most blatantly obvious so far. They seem very congruent with Dom's mission, but in a very sweet way. This is t I'm putting all other tests on hold until I give Dom a go over these next few days. Will definitely report back!
  13. @livin10 Sorry about your eye, but at least you got lots of TLC. And funny you should mention your experience with the eye doctor. My aunt was in town for my dads funeral (I talked about him a few posts up when he was still alive). Somewhere between New York and the shuttle to my place, she caught pink eye and I had to take her to an urgent care facility. Since I had been wearing the hell out of LFM, I told her to put a couple of sprays on. Ironically she also got some major VIP coddling from the staff and the doctor. She told me she couldn't believe how nice they were. When she went to fill her prescription, same type of attitude from the pharmacist. He actually came from behind the counter 3x to tell her that her eye drops were being brought in from another store, and then to tell her that they were almost there. And it was crowded in there! The funny thing is, she didn't have her top dentures in! I've been around this aunt enough to know that LFM was definitely at work here. LFM... good for work environments, doctors appointments and days when you feel like ditching your dentures.
  14. I wore 3 sprays of UN Cougar yesterday to the mall and all I've gotta say is -- Whoa nelly... this stuff ain't called Cougar by accident! Needed a strapless bra from Victoria's Secret and wandered over to the perfume section. A guy - probably a good 15 years my junior - asks if I need some help. I tell him that I'm just looking. He asks which scent do I like and then he tells me his favorite. To make a long story short he was hitting on me the whole time -- HEAVILY, might I add. At the end of the conversation he says, "So when can I see you again?" To which I replied, "Maybe later!" (wink-wink). I didn't give him my number, because my 12 year old came wandering in and I don't do the number exchange thing with her around. Daughter and I went to the movies to see Dracula Untold. Two seats over a couple of 20-something year old guys come and sit down. The one sitting closest to me stared constantly. The funny thing is, I got hot in the theater and I could smell the UN Cougar jumping off my skin so I'm pretty sure he caught my scent. As far as the selfies... I got a serious boost of energy when I sprayed it on. It was like sleepy... NOT sleepy in 2.5 seconds. Ironically I felt a bit less confident than when I wear SS4W or LFM. I kept looking at my legs when I walked past mirrors. Even still, the hits from the younger guys in particular made me give UN Cougar 4 thumbs up.
  15. Normally I gravitate towards sweet foody and floral scents, but I've thrown them all to the curb since I've gotten EBIL-ish last week. This is one hella sexy vanilla, with hints of spice, and a long lasting base of musk. The musk isn't heavy and dark. To me it offers a bit of sweetness that offsets the chai spice beautifully. All week I've been slathering Ebil-ish onto the back of my hands and huffing like a mad woman all day. It's definitely one of the longer lasting scents I've tried so far. I'm stocking up today. @androstenol... I agree that a LFM boost would work magic with Ebil-ish.
  16. Hi Beach Goddess.... I also discovered that less is more with LFM. Yesterday I did a few swipes in the morning, then I did a few more before going grocery shopping in the afternoon. It was almost like my body could tell that I'd gone overboard. As odd as this sounds, I could feel that I was wearing too much. Today I did a swipe on the outer wrist of each arm and a 2 inch swipe on each side of my chest. That was perfect for achieving the (now) tell-tale LFM confident vibe. Seriously loving this one.
  17. Girlie... this is the lil black dress / favorite leggings of pheromones -- with sexy, yet comfortable shoes, might I add! Hey androstenol... I've been reluctant to try the LP Rouge because the cinnamon has me a little nervous. Though I'm finding that even scents I don't think I'll like, I end up really loving here. So I may have to snag a sample just to be safe. My next purchase will be the UN 60/40. And you're right missdarlyncherie -- this is cool and confident. I was worried that it would be an "Outta-my-way-bitches!" kind of blend, or that it would make me appear too mushy, but it's very, very smooth. I don't even feel the self effects bonking me over the head, but I know it's happening. Matches perfectly with my chemistry. This morning I did one swipe to the inner part of each arm and smooshed them together. My aunt came over to help with my dad. Normally I feel like my dad's sisters are talking down to me. But this morning I looked my aunt right in the eyes... explained what I was going to do, and proceeded to do it. I didn't feel cocky. Like you said, it's cool and confident. I never thought EST would do this to me. (And I've been wearing it during my cycle.) But so far it's one of my favorite blends EVER.
  18. OK... After trying LFM for the first time today, I see why the thread is so damn long! So after a month of being in the hospital, my father finally came home yesterday evening. This morning I went to the hospital pharmacy to pick up his medications. I was wearing LFM, layered with Sweet Surrender. LFM around the wrists... lollipopped around the belly button and up the cleavage... and a little on the neck. The smell is mild compared to other pheromones I've encountered (non LPMP brands). Barely detectable even without a cover. Still, I slathered on my Sweet Surrender because it's heaven in a bottle. Self effects? Hmmmm... I'm not sure that I could pinpoint anything distinctive. I will say that I'm in a better mind state today (confident, pleasant, not feeling so stressed) but I can't tell if that's because of my dad coming home or the LFM. More testing is required. But let's talk about the effects on others. Wowza! Got to the hospital pharmacy and had to take a number. They were up to #388 when I got there and I had #424. I walked around for a bit (walked past other people waiting for their stuff) and then stood near a window close to the pick up area. A gentleman approaches me and gives me his number. It's #395. Low and behold, they were up to #394... so I was next! (Yup... it was one of the men I walked past.) Discovered I need the paper prescriptions, so I needed to go back up to the nurses station to pick them up. "Come directly back to my window when you're done," the guy cashier tells me. (Tee hee hee, LFM... is that you???) I pick everything up, complete the order and at the end of the transaction the cashier is super gushy and guy smiley with me. Then I get to the Dunkin Donuts and see the foxiest doctor ever in front of me. He pays for his stuff and leaves. When I left, I passed him again on the way to the parking lot. He looks at me with those soft brown eyes and says, "How are you?" I'm like, "Greaaaat... thank you." I was so giddy with school girl sweat, I couldn't even look back. Now here's the thing... I've been going to this same hospital for a month straight -- every single day, on the weekdays I go twice a day -- and nobody ever noticed me in THAT way. All of sudden I add a little LFM to the mix and I become a man magnet. I have LFM in oil, so now I'm curious to see what kind of trouble I can stir up with the spray. I'm so happy I tried it. It certainly gave me a smile when I needed it.
  19. I'm so happy that September is over because I was rapidly approaching my 4th order for the month. Now I can start fresh in October and not feel a twinge of guilt! I'm waiting for my last order to come in (12 items I think) to see if I want any refills to go on my new list. But I dunno if I can wait... my ordering finger is getting mighty itchy. Currently on my list: Sweet Surrender (Again! This is soooooo perfect on my skin.) Love Potion #9 (Not my usual scent, but there's something very awesome about it) Lina's White Velvet Rose (Fell in love with the sample... it's on my Artfire hit list) Beth's Blushing Milkmaid Sugared Plumeria Ebil-ish 2014 (waiting for my sample set to see what else I want from this group) UN Levitation Lace Gotcha!
  20. Thank you NuTrix. I've never heard of barret's esophagus. I'll definitely have to look into it a bit more closely. My dad hadn't had a checkup in (hold on to your hats) 15 YEARS, despite the fact that he had great insurance. Just found out about the cancer on August 13... by then it had already spread to the liver. I've been wearing Sweet Sensations everyday since I got the sample. Just received my FB yesterday and needless to say it was Slather-land USA this morning. I'm so happy this scent agrees with him while making me happy as a clam. Sugared Coconut is a very sweet scent, and to me it has a very slight citrus undertone. It reminds me of a bunch of 19 year old getting dressed to hang out while on Spring break in Daytona. But layering it with Sweet Surrender is DA BOMB. Definitely gives SS way more reach. Androstenol... I've been doing some crazy "I'm-addicted-to-LP" buys as of this past week. I love so many of the scents. I feel blessed to have found this particular scent at this time in my life. It's truly the little things that matter at this point.
  21. My father is currently in the hospital with stomach cancer. As soon as I drop my daughter off at school I head over to the hospital to be with him for the day - (typing this as he sleeps like a baby). For the first two weeks I was nervous about wearing anything scented because he seemed sensitive to certain smells - particularly food smells. But one day on a whim I put on a bit of Sweet Surrender to the outer wrists. My dad LOVED the smell on me! He sat up and talked... ate a bit of food. Although he doesn't have a lot of energy, it was by far the best I'd seen him in a while. I've always believed in the power of smell, but what a treat that he liked a scent that I also adore. Quick tip -- This morning I put some Sugared Coconut on my pulse points and let it dry before applying Sweet Surrender. It boosted the smell of Sweet Surrender and made it last a lot longer than usual. Of course this may be too sweet for some, but I love it. Mmmmm... huffing my wrists now. It's happiness!
  22. Thank you! My screen name comes from the fact that my best friend and I hang out on Friday's (since breaking up with our respective others). Crayons with Levitation is sooooo friggin nice. So far it's my favorite. I wore it this past Saturday and had a 15 minute laughing spell because my best friend told me she cried at a Celine Dion concert in Vegas. I don't know why I found that so humorous, but I laughed like a hyena. Those DHEAS are something special. I love the self effects on me, and yup... I am seeing self effects with the boys too. That's going to be my first full bottle purchase. I'm just debating whether I want the spray or the roll on. Geez... I want to put some on right now! Must. Conserve. Trial Vial! I got my order last week and I was so excited to smell everything. I keep the little organza bag on my desk so I can periodically take a whiff of my little collection while I'm working. Thanks StacyK! LoveStruck55... I had actually been reading the forum and I read about the travel shock thing. Even still, I ended up putting on the OCCO white literally 2 hours after my package arrived. I had a date and I wanted to test it out. I was absolutely awestruck that the exact places where I put the OCCO white was where my nimble lipped date was kissing me. I mean straight beeline to those places. So the travel shock may hinder the fragrance for a day or two, but they surely don't mess with the efficiency of OCCO, tee, hee, hee!
  23. First time Love Potion user here! I got my order on Friday, and even though I heard you should let your goodies sit for a couple of days to let the scents settle from travel shock, I couldn't help by put on some OCCO white. Oh yum! Ooooohhhh yum! Last week I'd also gotten another brand with Essence of Woman cops in it, and whew... it was a very intense smell. OCCO white was so much more pleasant than I had imagined. The smell was nothing like the other brand. It was light and fresh. This is something I could wear everyday. So anyway, I had a date with a guy friend who I've been sexually attracted to, and I decided to give it a try. I put a strip down on my torso and a ring going around my belly button. This was the first time I've ever used cops, and I could immediately feel my pulse pick up a bit. It was like an excitement buzz. I felt really glittery... like I was radiating glitter. And it was hard for me not to smile despite the fact that it was raining and super windy outside. Guy friend and I decided to grab something to eat and then we headed back to his place. Normally I'm kind of nervous around him, but for some reason I was really, really relaxed. When we got back to his place, I was totally in seduction mode and he was loving every minute of it. I didn't know that I would be so aggressive, lol! The amazing part was I noticed that when he was kissing me, he went straight to the sections where I had applied the OCCO white. I mean it was like OCCO was calling him in. I thought that was pretty cool. Three hours later, I wanted to send Mara a hand written thank you note. All I'm gonna say is "Whew!" That night when I went to sleep I dreamed I was walking around naked the whole night. But I was confidently naked. I was grocery shopping naked... getting coffee naked. It was actually quite funny because everybody else had clothes on and I didn't care that I was naked. I love it for the self-confidence factor. Since this is the first time guy friend and I 'had relations' I didn't have a baseline for how he should react. But like I said, he kissed me in the exact locations where I had applied the OCCO white. I mean right down the torso strip. Needless to say, I'm VERY happy with my purchase!
  24. Thank you for the warm welcome, everyone! I like being in the company of smell good enthusiasts. Oh my gosh... 10 new scents a month. What a treat! I tried to get the ones I thought would have some 'oomph' for my Friday night hang out sessions. I don't know which one I'm most excited for. Well if we have to be lost, at least we'll all smell divine, lol!
  25. Hello all, I'm a newbie to the Love Potion line, but I'm a total scent whore for artisan perfumers. So when I landed here and found pheromones (which I'm also new to) and great smells all in one bottle, I was totally smitten. I just had my first pheromone experience last Friday and was amazed by the results. (It wasn't a Love Potion product.) Over the past two weeks I've placed a couple of orders for samples here, including: OCCO white Crayons: Gamboge w/ Levitation Like a Magnet (sugared vanilla and honey) Rocket Fuel III I'm currently compiling my wish list for future orders, as I'm learning about all the different pheromone blends. I see how you can get hopelessly addicted hanging out here!
