I don't know what possessed me to order this one, because I despise fruity florals in general (there are a couple of LP exceptions, but I don't think I've ever gone FB on one, even so!) I think the line from the description about the scent being modeled after "a delicate spring breeze" did it. Because I want to smell like a delicate spring breeze, dangnabit! Well, darned if I don't love it. It's very fruity when wet, but everything blends together beautifully once it dries down. I find the cardamom comes out more on warmer parts of my body (décolletage is definitely spicier ; ), but it is extremely subtle on cooler spots like the backs of my wrists. Both ways, it's lovely and not overpowering, adding a bit of warmth. W&T doesn't remind me of any other fruity florals I've tried, though again, I do tend to avoid them. I can't distinguish all the listed notes, but I will say the violet is quite subtle. Normally I loathe that note in anything. I just point this out for anyone else who also isn't crazy about violet, don't let that trip you up. It is the least obnoxious violet note in anything ever, IMO anyway. All in all, a beautiful, soft scent that I think will wear well in hotter weather, too.

Ha, I got spice too! I thought my imagination must be filling in the blanks because this reminds me so much of pumpkin custard. Pumpkin custard with a LP Original drizzle Maybe it is the amber pretending to be pumpkin pie spice! I don't know, but it's very rich and creamy and pumpkin-y, and has that vanilla I adore from the Love Potions. I don't really notice the honey, and I can barely smell Aja on myself even when I'm wearing it solo, so I'm no help there. Either my skin eats it or I just can't smell it. Or I'm part plant and it blends right in

I've been dragging my feet on reviewing this one. I did not reread the notes before I tried it. I got a weird note I didn't like and couldn't place when I first sniffed the vial straight out of the mailbox, so I blamed travel shock. I set it aside and waited for a few days before actually putting it on my skin. That odd note was still there. I couldn't figure out what it was, but it drove me to distraction. I thought maybe my skin was reacting badly with the vanilla, though I don't usually have that issue. Finally I looked up what's in it, and I'm 99% sure now it's the fig that I don't care for. I don't know if my skin is amping it, if my skin is just plain eating up the rest of the scent, if it's a chemistry issue, if it needs more time to settle, or if I just don't like fig! I only smell the maple when it's wet, and everything else is dominated by the fig when it's dry, even at the end of the day. Even now that I know what I'm smelling, I just can't get into it. I will try it again in a month or two, just in case it needs more time to meld. I might just not be a fig person. This month has been really surprising in terms of what I love and what hasn't worked for me!

I'm pretty sure I could put this on anything and want to bang it. Needless to say, my man now fully supports my purchase of the monthly sampler. On a slightly more helpful note, I wear men's scents all the time, but this is too alpha male for me to wear. I don't remember if it's supposed to be unisex.

I was dead set on not liking this one. I looked at the notes before I tried it and was thinking "no way do those things sound good together. Eucalyptus and coconut? Lavender and pine? Really?" I never would have ordered it if it hadn't been part of the sampler. But I should have had more faith in Mara's talent because I put it on (well away from my face, a little dab on my wrist so I could wash it off in a hurry!), took a sniff while it was wet, only caught the eucalyptus, shrugged and forgot about it...and then got this whiff of something absolutely heavenly a little while later. What IS that amazing smell? It was almost herbal, but not medicinal. Slightly sweet, but not in an edible way. I thought I caught a little lavender, but it didn't read like a lavender scent. My friends, that amazing, indescribable smell was Gargoyle Gargle. Which I legit cannot say out loud without stuttering, so let's hope no one ever asks me My budget only allows for 2 Weenies, and this one won out over Just Desserts, which I want to have almond scented babies with, so there you go. GG is clean without being soapy, herbal without smelling like a garden...I mean, you gotta try it. It's magical. It feels very soothing somehow, and-this is what really nails it for me-I can wear it comfortably during a migraine. Every evening after my shower, I've been reaching for my trial vial of this to wear to bed. This is what I wanted pillow stuffing to be for me, but it was too sweet. (I still enjoy it, just not on migraine days). I was a little surprised to see its thread here in the men's forum but now that I think about it, a man could totally wear this. It doesn't really evoke any gender to me, it's just...argh, amazing. There's that word again! Everybody needs a bottle of Gargoyle Gargle in their LP stash.

I'm dying to review Gargoyle Gargle. It was the surprise hit in my sampler Pleeeeasssseee, someone unlock the thread! I promise I'll be good!

Funny story: I wanted to come up with a PE for my anniversary, but I waffled quite a bit and wrung my hands and eventually talked myself out of it. The four notes I had decided on before I chickened out were rose, frankincense, vanilla, and sandalwood. Naturally when I read the description for this one, my jaw dropped, not only because it had those 4 notes I had wanted to use, but because I know I like all the other ones, too. The only thing that made me a little unsure was the bourbon, because I've enjoyed that in some scents but not in others. Well, at first sniff, it was love! I just finished ordering a FB. If funds permitted, I'd definitely be stocking up, but hopefully there will still be another bottle or two available in a couple of months. This wears like a velvety soft skin scent on me. It's not loud. All the notes blend together beautifully. After a couple of hours, the rose is extremely subtle and the resins really shine. I just love it. The name is slightly unfortunate for my own personal associations but as for me, it reminds me of marrying my Beloved, and that's all I really care about.

This smells exactly like apple crisp to me! It's delicious. Foodier than my usual preference, but very yummy. I did get a lot of spice but it wasn't as overpowering as I feared it would be. I still got a lot of apple! Phero-wise, this was my first time trying Mother's Little Helper, and I really enjoyed the effects. Mainly I just felt upbeat (but in a calm way, not in a giddy Lace or Levitation way, haha) and very confident and in-control. I felt much more like "myself" compared to, say, Leather, but still a little more assertive than I am on my own. I was out at a craft fair much of the day, and normally I have trouble getting vendors' attention when I want to buy something or ask a question. I had no such trouble with MLH on! But all my interactions were very positive and friendly, no one was intimidated and I didn't get bitchy (who, me? ) I will definitely be trying this one solo the next time pheroma month rolls around, but so far, I'm thinking it's seriously under-hyped!

This was the second scent I tested from this month's sampler. I found it really intriguing in the vial. It comes across fresh and floral, almost spa-like to my nose...not really what I was expecting from a Weenie! It's beautiful though, the floral notes behaved very politely for me and the "ozone" kindly refrained from stabbing me in the sinuses, remaining a remote supporting player. It's very much a lady of a scent I think this one would be wonderful as a spray! Phero wise, this was my first time trying Lace. It put me in a good mood, but it also did that awful thing where total strangers wanted to chat me up every time I turned around, thus killing my buzz. I do not like that, Sam I am

I love this so much! I adore almond scents. I got unsolicited compliments from my man the second he smelled it on me. I normally don't care much for anything very sweet or "edible" smelling, but I don't know, this one hits the spot somehow. I had no trouble with staying power, but I slathered on quite a bit I get that lovely, almost "syrupy" amber after a few hours. So, so good.

I've had various opinions over the years of what heaven must smell like. At one time, many years ago, it was a particularly expensive sandalwood soap that I couldn't really afford (but loved to the last bubble anyway ) Now I'm convinced heaven REALLY smells like Sugared Sandalwood! Not sure how to describe it if you don't already know what sandalwood smells like (hint: it smells woodsy lol), but this is gorgeous and the sweetness is perfectly balanced, blending beautifully with the sandalwood. I got it in a spray and it's going to kill me not spraying everything in sight with it I love it on its own, but it would indeed layer well with so many other scents, depending on the effect you want. I think it is especially lovely with vanilla scents (I can already attest that it is something magical layered with LP Original), and it would nicely temper florals that are being too loud. Sandalwood is a beautiful balance-it-out note to have in your arsenal if you like it.

Finally broke open my Trial sized pheroma bottle of UN Leather. I've been a bit daunted by it because I have a very quiet, easygoing, meek personality. I was afraid even Leather would be too incongruent to work for me, or that it might flip my b*tch switch (I do have one of those. I know because LFM flips it for me almost every time lol) However, it has been an awesome day. No b*tchy mood, no aggravation. I am calm and in control of my sh*t and not putting up with anybody else's. Leather also turned the dick I married into a proper Richard. 10/10, going full bottle first chance I get.

Good lord, I love this one. Just smoky, lightly spicy, woodsy perfection, all with an undercurrent of ripe juicy blueberries. It's an amazing scent and I'm so glad and grateful I managed to nab a bottle! I would call this one unisex with a masculine slant. Something about the woods in it tips the scale for me, I think. It's not too manly for me to wear out of the house, though (but as always, your personal mileage may vary). What really sets this one apart for me (besides the blueberries; this is my first and only blueberry scent!) is that it falls under that wonderful category of "fruity without being foody." I have realized that while I do not really enjoy wearing fruity edible-smelling scents (with the sole exception of LP frais citron, which is saved for me by the less gourmand drydown), I like fruity notes just fine when they're not too sweet and don't leave me smelling like a dessert or a beverage or something like that. It's kind of a shame because my man would prefer me to smell like pie filling 24/7 and I just can't do it. But I love scents like this one.

This is, IMO, the most perfect ocean air scent ever. Absolutely freaking perfect. My family used to rent a house on the beach every summer when I was growing up, and this takes me back to the smell wafting in on the breeze through the open windows, that incomparable salty fresh air. The pineapple and coconut remind me of the kids sunblock I was always slathered in from head to toe all summer long (without actually smelling like sunblock at all, so I'm not sure what sorcery is behind this one!) I do get the lime but I'm not getting hit over the head with it like I expected. Overall I'm just awed. I pretty much bathed in it today because I love it so much and got a random compliment out of the blue on how good I smell, but the person complimenting me couldn't figure out what I smelled like, just "really good, what IS that?" LOL!

A million thanks to Mara for not rebrewing this until after my husband's vasectomy (I was not around for the original brew). The last thing I need is 5 more I am absolutely head over heels in love with this one. It doesn't literally smell like a baby, or at least like none of mine did (or I probably WOULD have twice as many, haha!) It smells more to me like the aura of a baby, pure snuggly love and soft fuzzy white light, which I know sounds woo-woo, sorry guys, but I gotta call it like I smell it Very soothing, gentle, creamy, powdery goodness. Love, love, love. Thank you for taking me back!
