  1. That stinks, but also good to know. I've had this happen with Fex Ed and UPS once or twice before, but not USPS till now. Of course I don't recall being quite this obsessive about receiving a package in quite some time. On the bright side, I just checked the tracking and my order's arrived at the post office! Today or tomorrow...oh please let it be today, Mr. Postman. lol lol! Thank you. The sad thing is, it's really true. I have all my samples from my first order in this pretty little mesh pouch that I keep on the nightstand next to my bed. One morning I woke up to find it laying on my pillow next to my head, and I don't remember putting it there!
  2. Another newbie popping in to say thank you, Dolly, for starting this thread. I spent a good week here just reading before I joined this forum and your posts (and those of many others ) have been so helpful in averting a lot of mistakes I very likely would have made. This helps me skip ahead to new mistakes I am sure to make in the future. lol
  3. I really appreciate the tips, Halo; thank you. I did discover that it lasted longer when I tried it again a few days later. Somewhat off-topic, but I'm amazed at how different some blends can be at different times of my cycle. I've tried LP Black three times so far. The first time I was unsure if I liked it so I set it aside for a while. The second time I absolutely loved it, and as an added bonus, it made me seriously horny! I tried it again the very next day and didn't like it on me at all. D'oh! Still, I never really noticed olfactory changes in my body chemistry until I found these fragrances. Hmmm. Maybe I should create a spreadsheet to keep track of this stuff...
  4. Thanks to everyone for the great reviews! I haven't been making progress on some long-term goals; I could see this one being helpful in getting unstuck and back on the right track. I'm really really looking forward to trying it myself. Now, I am living vicariously through all of you while I impatiently wait for USPS to deliver my package, so keep those reviews coming, people. lol
  5. I'm having the same issue--no tracking information beyond the initial confirmation from stamps.com. Normally I'd wait a few more business days before inquiring, but with Friday being the last ship day and Thanksgiving coming up and reading all the reviews...well, I'm sure others can relate. lol Anyway, I was in the process of writing an email to Customer Service when I thought maybe I should check the forum first and came upon this thread. Although it doesn't make the wait much easier (patience may be a virtue, but I don't consider myself particularly virtuous! ) I do feel better knowing this is not an unusual occurence. In the meantime I will soothe myself with my precious vials of olfactory nirvana. Now I finally know why I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Gollum... lol
  6. I think that's what I'm going to have to do too, just a dab or two. I got a bit of a headache myself when I first applied Sneaky Clean. I know they're different, but to me at least they both register as "clean" (obviously, with the latter ). I'm on the fence about SC, but CB is definitely one I like. Now I just need to find me a guy to test it out on. If your man is any indication, perhaps I should mention my affinity for doing laundry early on in the dating process.
  7. You're not kidding! It's funny, because when I first found the site, I was disappointed the UNs weren't available in trial sizes. After I found the forums I read recommendations to try the phero-enhanced perfumes as a way to test the blends without springing for a whole bottle. This worked great for many of the samples I bought (I can't stop singing the praises of Cougar Potion), but there were a few where the fragrance wasn't for me, so it was hard to gauge the effects of the pheros. Now I'm almost overwhelmed by all the choices...not that it'll stop me from picking out a few more a paycheck or two from now. Have you decided if you're going to pick up a few more, and if so, which ones? I keep reading the review threads, but sometimes it only makes it that much harder to choose!
  8. lol. I don't know what's going on here with me, but I haven't been this giddy about a product (line) in a looong time. Magickal, indeed. Steal away, androstenol. lol
  9. I bought a sample of this. When I first applied it I smelled a blend of rich chocolate with vanilla. Reminds me of this delicious dark chocolate hot chocolate mix they sell at my local grocery. After it dried down the dark chocolate predominated. YUMMY. This is the first chocolate scent I've worn (the others weren't from LPMP) where it smelled like genuine chocolate (rather than obviously artificial) and stayed that way. Unfortunately, I could barely smell it at all an hour later. Is there anything I can do to encourage its "staying power"?
  10. LOL. You're not kidding! I already started a new wish list last night after it occurred to me that I really should pick up some more phero-free fragrances too, to use for layering and "take a break from pheros" days. Please tell me the urge to go hog wild tapers off a bit once you figure out what works best for you.
  11. Er, never mind. I just found the answer to my question--UNE for Women. This place is awesome. I am still interested in the comparison of the fragrances, though. From reading the reviews of this, it might be going on my Wish List, but if the two are really similar, I might just stick to Pherogirl/UNE for now.
  12. How similar is this fragrance to Pherogirl? I loooove the scent of Pherogirl on me (a pleasant surprise--in the vial it smelled kinda...vile. So glad I decided to give it a chance, because it makes me smell deeelicious ), but it would be nice to have a version without cops for added versatility.
  13. Just placed my next order. Definitely spent more than I normally would, but I just had to take advantage of the UN sample availability. I'm glad they'll be available in December, too, just in case I want to add to the arsenal while my budget recovers a bit. Heh heh I ordered the Pheromas Women's sampler set and a FB of Cougar Potion. I also ordered samples of Topper, Open Windows, Balm Bomb and SS4W...and LAM (Buttercream Peach and Sandalwood & Resins), OCCO (White and Black) and Sugared Grapefruit. Now that I've written it all down, I'm a little embarrassed I bought so much, but truth is, my original list was a lot longer, and it wasn't easy whittling it down. Now if I could just win the lottery...
  14. Thanks again everyone. This is a very welcoming forum. I've already placed another order, this one bigger than the last. Hello nosegasms!
  15. (scented) Cuddle Bunny was in the women's sampler set I ordered. "Clean" scents don't seem to work all that well with my body chemistry, but there was something about Cuddle Bunny which drew me to it nonetheless. My initial reaction to the fragrance was that it reminded me of laundry detergent. This is not an insult, as doing laundry is my "favorite" household chore--I just love the smell of clean clothes and sleeping on freshly laundered sheets. It's strange because while the description seems to indicate it is a floral-based scent, the combination of the notes doesn't give off a heavy floral vibe. I can detect (at least some of) the different florals, but none of them predominate--it's just very balanced and clean with a dash of citrus. That said, for me, it is a strong fragrance, and it lasts for hours. It mellowed out a bit somewhere around the 3-4 hour mark, but the scent was still unmistakeably Cuddle Bunny. This is one I will probably have to apply with a light hand so as not to overpower (I have a more sensitive sense of smell than most). I do find the fragrance relaxing, so I decided to wear it before bed the other night and I feel asleep quickly, which is really nice as I have periodic bouts of insomnia. The next morning I got up to go work out. I'm always running late, so I literally put on my workout clothes, brushed my teeth and left. When I arrived at the gym, the three ladies at the front desk greeted me enthusiastically. They are all very nice, and they do say hello to everyone, but it's usually just one person. This was the first time everyone greeted me at once--they practically did it in unison. lol. What was really funny though, was one of them stopped me and said, "I have to tell you, you just have the most gorgeous hair!" Yes, she complimented my tangled up mass of curls bed head. lol. While I was in the locker room, I remembered putting on Cuddle Bunny the previously night. I wonder if I'm going to turn out to be one of those women for whom cops make other women friendlier instead of turned off/unfriendly?
  16. Thanks, tyvey! It really does feel like magic. And you're right. There's something about the merging of bright and sparkly with warm and sultry that just synchronizes perfectly for me. It's one of the loveliest, yet completely unexpected fragrances I've had the pleasure of wearing. I never could have conceived of this combo on my own. Thank goodness for the perfume gurus here, so I don't have to. From reading the forums I see not everyone gets self-effects; I am sooo grateful that I have thus far, as I would wear this for the self-effects alone. Still, I can't wait to get a FB so I can play around with the quantity a bit more to find my sweet spot as far as hits are concerned. I can totally see how this could have a popularity-enhancing effect. It's like I feel so good, people can't help to respond in kind. I'm sure the Golden Rule comes into play, of course, but Cougar definitely bumps that feeling up a notch.
  17. D'oh! I forgot about checking the first post again. I've been so excited waiting for them to be released I just kept going to the home page for the past few days and refreshing every so often since I'm so patient. lol Thanks, Mara.
  18. Awesome! Thanks for answering my question. I was really hoping that was the case, because the unisex ones sound yummy too. Is Mean Business a men's fragrance? I wasn't sure from reading the description, but it intrigues me. I work with a lot of bitter difficult people.
  19. I'm new to LPMP and pheromones in general, so my first order included the women's newbie sampler. I've never embraced the "cougar" label even though I certainly qualify as one chronologically, and while I love the smell of citrus, I've never really used it on my body as I tend to be drawn to earthy, vanilla-y and tropical scents. So while the description of Cougar Potion intrigued me, I wasn't expecting to be crazy about the fragrance on me. When I received my order, I started out by just sniffing each vial. While I loved almost all of the fragrances, it was Cougar which immediately drew me in. Sounds silly, but it was like the perfume itself was saying, "Hey! Pay attention, right here, right now!" The scent was (and is) intoxicating. I'm not sure what I was expecting from the grapefruit--maybe I was subconsciously thinking sour/tart, like eating the fruit--but "sparkly" really is the best way to describe it. I immediately felt a lift in mood, and I hadn't even put it on yet. I quickly remedied that, and, not to sound overly dramatically, but I literally sighed when I smelled it on my wrist. On me, the grapefruit predominated, lightly sweet with some complexity I couldn't quite put my finger on lingering in the background. I ended up applying it on my pulse points and at the base of my neck. I also swiped some in my hair by my face--I have long hair--so I could get an extra whiff whenever I moved my head. It's funny to think I was reticent about the grapefruit, because when the note faded about an hour later, I kept wanting to put more on (and sometimes did ) so I could keep smelling the sparkle. While I wish it could have lasted longer, if I recall my aromatherapy correctly, since grapefruit is a top note it's normal for it to "burn off" first. The fragrance, on my skin, settled into a soft, slightly sweet musk with a hint of vanilla. As mentioned previously the self-effects were immediate and apparent in the vial. On me, I felt happy and confident with a bit of swagger. I remember looking in the mirror after washing my face and thinking, "God DAMN, girl; you look GOOD." Then I spent the next few minutes posing and preening in front of the mirror, admiring my own appearance. LOL. This is not something I often do when I'm not wearing makeup. I've lost a lot of weight over the past couple of years and am still getting used to getting attention from men and seeing myself "that way" after so many years of being/feeling "invisible" (which I acknowledge is more about self-confidence than weight per se). Anyway, I wore this yesterday to work. Just as I reached the entrance to the building an older gentleman, maybe in his 60's, was leaving. He held the door open for me, which in and of itself was no big deal. But what was unusual is after I went in, he immediately came back inside and said "Let me get that for you" and opened the second door for me. That has never happened before, with anyone. A couple hours later, a young guy (late teens-early 20s) from the clean up crew was spending an inordinate amount of time vacuuming around my work station. This was definitely out of the ordinary because usually their idea of vacuuming is a few swipes and out they go. Both of these guys are way out of my age range, but it was a fun experience nonetheless. I love this stuff. Without a doubt, Cougar Potion's going to be my first FB purchase.
  20. Yipee! I've been impatiently waiting for this day. I was looking at the women's sampler set for this month. Does anyone know which of the unisex blends are included in the women's set?
  21. Well, rats, my computer locked up so I have to start my reply over. First, thanks all for the warm welcome. I've spent about a week or so reading the forums to learn more before jumping into the fray, but soon realized I could read this board for a good month and still only scratch the surface. So I figured there's no time like the present and I can learn more as I go. Besides, after all of the review threads I've perused, I realized my already too-long list of future purchases was only growing longer, and I might need assistance enabling my purchases prioritizing where to start. I got the women's newbie sampler pack and samples of LAM sandalwood & resins, LP Bittersweet, Tropique and Exotica, OCCO white and Sexology. So far my favorites are Cougar Potion, LP Original and LAM, but hard as it's been, I'm trying to heed the advice to sample each on its own merits. It just so happened those three were some of the first I tried, so I'm kind of addicted/fixated on them at the moment. What's surprised me the most thus far are the self-effects. In my admittedly limited knowledge of pheromones, I just assumed they affected others, but what I'm loving the most is how they make me feel when I'm wearing these scents. I'll write more about that in some of the review threads, but the difference is noticeable, and to me, goes beyond the pheromones themselves, because I get positive vibes from the non pheromone enchanced fragrances too. I'm so glad I found this place in time for Pheromas, though my pocketbook may not be quite as grateful.
  22. Or perhaps more accurately, LPMP snagged me. lol. Seeing as I have a "thing" about smells , though, I knew I was playing with fire going into this, so I have no one to blame for my latest vice but myself. I found this site via Amazon and ended up buying a bunch of samples. Everything smells sooooo good I think I've DITHLed myself, because ever since I received my package, I've been carrying around my little stash in my purse everywhere I go. Nothing like having a tough day at work and huffing perfume vials (and applying just a tad more so I can huff myself too) in the ladies room for a little pick-me-up. I sound like a junkie. LOL Anyway, I could gush on and on about the yummy goodness of these potions, and how I'm chomping at the bit to try more (...and buy a FB or three while I'm at it), but I think I'll save the squeeing for other threads. In the meantime, Hi Everybody! It smells awfully damn good in here!
