I tend to completely forget things after I am done creating them. My brain is always looking towards the next thing I want to make! Sorry if this disappointed anyone. I made it because a customer at the shop has been asking for years to bring it back. I do hope she likes this version!!! I do, I think it's lovely. :)

Oh, come on...you never disappoint.  This new one actually sounds better! 😋

Huh, that sounds more like Cocoa Sauvingnon than Wine & Dead Roses. ??? @SirenSong

I really love it, it smells delishus to me!

It does have strawberry, as well as mulberry. But they are not organic (it's headspace technology) so I doubt there would be an allergy reaction, but best to be safe!

@Potion Master  This is from Luna65's archive of Wine & Dead Roses 2015 (not sure how to link) 🤷‍♀️ No worries, getting this new version anyway.

For all you strange girls whose idea of the perfect Valentine involves darkness, decay and eldritch terror...a gothic-minded blend of the decadent charms of cocoa absolute, rose attar and cabernet accord cloaked in dark bloody red musk with a spooky resinous base of oak, sandalwood and myrrh.

COCOA ABSOLUTE ~ Lightens emotions, evokes feelings of love.
RED MUSK ~ Self-confidence and strength, sexual attractant, heightens passions and arousal.
ROSE ATTAR ~ Self-confidence, strong aphrodisiac properties, attracts affection & love, fertility, divination/clairvoyance.
LEATHER ~ The musky scent of leather inspires feelings of lust, personal power, and provides a hint of danger.
FERMENTED ALCOHOL: CABERNET ~ Intoxicant, used as an offering or appeasement for Gods, used in love spells, and celebratory spells.

OAK ~ A wood of masculine and projective energy.

It symbolizes endurance, triumph, strength, power, prosperity, and heroism.
SANDALWOOD ~ Love, exotic, sensual atmospheric; aphrodisiac. Healing, spirituality, exorcism.
MYRRH ~ Stimulating, soothing. Powerful guard against evil.

@SirenSong - I have no idea. lol. I could not find an older recipe, nor do I have a bottle, so I just made it from scratch with the same theme in mind.

Oh. Then I guess I need this one, too.  The 2015 one lists cocoa absolute, red musk, rose attar, leather, Cabernet, oak, sandalwood, and myrrh. My teenage son picked it out for me to wear to an Alice Cooper concert. I asked him to smell some scents as in what seemed like rock and roll concert and he picked that much to my surprise. Good choice.

This new one has orange and patchouli in it, no leather, no musk, no cocoa. Seems very different.

That’s what makes them all so precious. I have the PE Pumpkin Lavender Donut, but a think I may need the new version, too. I’ll be submitting another invoice…

Heh, for fun I had to look up the study. Apparently, Pumpkin spices and lavender combined  had the strongest effect on the Boyz. Stronger than each on its own.  Guys are (wonderfully) weird sometimes. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Totally was not expecting the new releases to be up and ready for ordering. How exciting! 🤗

My husband just commented favorably on the PE of Pumpkin Lavender Donut. He hasn’t mentioned any of my perfumes in months. And I guess his sense of smell came back from COVID. I can only imagine what this deeper Autumn / Winter one smells like!  It was a “Oh, you smell good!!” comment!  😄 So, the combo works magically.

@Potion Master  How different is Wine & Dead Roses from the 2015 version I have?  It seems to have different notes.

Didn’t get this one in the sale, but I wonder if Vampire Bunny will be like Siren Song’s Blackberry Smoke.

    Yippe!! :cat690:

I literally just spent last evening rotating scents, pulling out my October group, putting away summery scents, and incorporating all my new sale purchases into my alphabetical order!!  I had to buy a new lipstick holder for all the new bottles. When the pandemic hit, I put all my pheroed scents and cops away for safekeeping.  Finally realized last night that I just have to wear them even if I hardly leave the house and my husband lost some of his smelling power due to COVID.

I don't think my Blackberry Smoke is like Vampire Bunny.  I have Cuddle Bunny original, Vampire Bunny, and Blue Smoke.  They are all good!!  But my Blackberry Smoke smells exactly what I asked for -- a sweet, deep fruity blackberry/mulberry incense that dries down to a smoky accord with a hint of blackberry.  Blackberry Smoke is definitely incense which Vampire Bunny is not.  I remember Vampire Bunny as cuddly and blueberry and autumny for lack of better word, like a cold weather scent.

I know rebrews always smell different, but after re-organizing and assessing my scent stash, I am sort of relieved I already have some of the Weenies in a different brew.  I had also purchased the Pumpkin Lavender Donut PE.  I will have to get about 12 samples for sure, but I'll wait for notes to decide whether I need full bottles of something.  I'm rather excited about Pink Pumpkin.  Appreciate Supra being a non-pheroed version of something from before which I do not have.

@Potion Master Both of my PEs are exactly what I wanted.  Richmond VA may sound boring being made up of a combo of Sugareds, but it is the yummiest, creamiest summer scent I have ever smelled!!!  Each opening of the bottle sends out a different one of the notes.  It is truly Magickal!  Thanks, Mara!!!!  :kisses:

@SirenSong I had already ordered a bottle of your blackberry smoke, but your description has me even more excited to try it!

Ooh me too! I don’t usually like incensey scents, they burn my nose and give me a sinus headache feeling, but yours sounded so lovely I just had to try it! I don’t have too many fruity scents but something about yours I kept coming back too.

Hey, guys.  Glad you're trying it.  We'll see.  I love scents, but there's no telling what I'll be sensitive to which is why I told her what notes I have problems with and hoping her magick will make them work for me.

@greenappletart I find we reserve a lot of the same scents.  Almost to the point if I see you reserve something, I judge that I will probably like it, too!

@Amanda I have sinus issues and migraines.  There's no telling what is going to bother me, but I'm learning.  And that's why I've never done a PE before for fear that something I created near and dear to me -- wahhhh!!!  -- I wouldn't be able to wear it!  So, we'll see.

I have such a huge box coming I think.  So much so, there is not one more single freebie I can handle.  I have everything I like!!

Every sale I say that I am only buying a few.  LOL

  7. #1 SirenSong's Richmond VA - I recently travelled to Richmond on vacation this summer.  I was enamored by the arts, food, and the city's rich history (no pun intended) along with the rapidly moving James River and the riverbank.  I decided my second different scent would be a tribute to our summer trip.  I asked Mara for what I hope is a perfect summery scent, not your basic tropical kind of scent.  And I wanted it to smell "southern".  Not deep southern, just "southern", a little bit.  And it needed lime, but not lime dessert.  Basically, a combo of all my favorite summer season scents with the flower of Virginia added in.

    Cucumber:
I love this fresh scent.  There is something in the Sugared Cucumber though that makes it stabby for me, so can you temper that stabbiness?
    Lime:
I love the scent of limes, like when you cut into them.  However, I really love the sweetness of lime in Sugared Limes and I would like it to be like "Sugared Limes" sweet.
    Dogwood Blossoms:
I am not a big floral person, but I loooove it when you make them into Sugareds or a Fairy Cake.
    Musk:
Egyptian Musk because I can only describe that musk as “dreamy”.  Second choice was white musk.  Whatever the musk, I needed it to last and give it depth.  I also wanted "creaminess" which is why I think it ended up with vanilla.

    Summary of scent:
    Sweet
    Summery
Creamy, I’d like it to have an edible quality
    Sensual
    Southern belle
Long-lasting, but not too intense, though it needs depth
White and green, but not new spring fresh green, fully in bloom flower
    Not stabby
    Not soapy at all
    Not fresh
I want the musk to be sensual, not clean
I adore your Sugared Florals, so that’s the floral I want it to be like
  8. Chiming in on my first PEs ever.  Two very different ideas:

#1 SirenSong's Blackberry Smoke - name taken from a small-time Southern Rock band still in existence but obviously for Jimi Hendrix.  I was going for a blackberry incense.  It was inspired by a Jimi Hendrix photo that Mara could not use because it was licensed.  It was a pic of him smiling while he was blowing smoke from a cigarette.  She did several reiterations on the label for me. I described it as a "purple haze all through your brain".

    Blackberry:
I need this to be the primary note and sweet. I need it to last.  I find that sometimes when a Mulberry or Boysenberry note is added, the Blackberry lasts longer
    Dragon’s Blood:
I guess I want the “cherryish type” to keep with the sweet fruit
    Incense:
Either Patchouli or Sandalwood or that Cherry Tobacco you have I need it to smell “incensey” and I don’t even use incense because I am allergic to smoke
    Woodsmoke:
This can be stabby on me sometimes, so if you could temper it somehow

    Summary:
    Intoxicating
    Mysterious
    Sensual
    Feminine, not unisex
    Sweet
    Non-stabby smokiness
    Not too cannabis-like
Like a fortune-teller engulfed in intoxicatingly sweet smoky blackberry

    Yes, of course.

Everyone, remember to also reserve freebies if you are buying bottles here. Thanks!

    Mara,

Just checking. I think I have used up all my freebies and points. How many points is it for my additional PE reserved here?  If I am entitled to something more, can you just pick something out for me that I have not purchased in the sale?  Either woman’s or unisex. My husband just does not wear his stash, so giving me a men’s fragrance would be a waste. 😐

  10. Mara, thank you!!  Beautiful!!

Can I also reserve one of these?  Or are they all taken?  I am not sure if the full count includes the additional ones the creator is entitled to?  Geesh, you'd think I would get how this works!  😄

    Kayla's Creme a l'Orange

@SirenSong The count does NOT include the 2 bottles each that were held aside for the creators. I will add those numbers as available later, should the creators release them.

  11. Yet another intriguing collection concept!!  And a mix of rebrews and new!

I love how I’ll be able to pick up some rebrews I have never purchased. I never really run out of anything because I have so many and rotate them regularly by what season I think they smell like.  Appreciate all the virgin options, too!!

If Mara was still putting out music, this would make me a happy listener!  😉  A good concept album of scents!

Thank you, DD. I am really trying to hunt down the old recipes from 2009 and forward to try to reproduce some of those older ones that people especially loved.

    I appreciate your input! xoxox

Another question for everyone....do you want pheromones in any of these? Or shall we do just do pure, powerful spell potions, and save all the pheromone additions for the next NRs - Pherotine?

Personally, I would love these to be all phero-free, people can always layer pheros with similar intent with them after all. But I do not want to disappoint anyone!

I would be thrilled with phero-free!  I have faith that the spell potion on its own will work!  😊

  13. Thank you, both Beccah and Vika.  I have been hearing about magnesium and found that I can take a little bit more in addition to what is in my vitamins and protein shake.  And I do eat dark chocolate!  I need to get the teas into my life.  I thought I was drinking green tea for metabolism, but maybe it was helping the anxiety.  Oddly, I switched to a black caffeinated tea and my migraines dropped off.  I had been caffeine free for 20 years!  I do know that green tea has some caffeine.  It's always a delicate balance, water, sleep, exercise, etc....but what really throws you off is menopause!  Things change, all bets are off!

Vika - I do have Treasured Hearts both unscented and in different scents.  I guess it's just me and that particular day.  Either the pheromone or a note in the scent will cause something to trigger a headache and then maybe only on that day for some reason. Someone on this forum told me to combine Cuddle Bunny with Treasured Hearts to counteract the headache.  That seemed to work.

However, I would still prefer a long-lasting spell cast on me...just to get a break from it now and again.

I do like that title - Anxiety Ender.  😁

  14. Mara!  I want something for anxiety and stress caused by situations where you know you shouldn’t be all wound up about it, but you just are. Preferably, a spell potion that would allow you to relax and just not be so concerned about what might happen.  Like getting through your holiday preparations when you have a million things to do.  Something that would stop me from playing out the future in my head because I’m so worried about it going smoothly, I’m obsessing about it going smoothly in my head before it can even start. There’s probably a pheromone for this, but some can cause headaches for me.

How about spell potion to cure migraines???  But really a spell to stop obsessing or to cure anticipation anxiety. I once had a medication for high blood pressure that treated anxiety and I just never worried about anything big or small while taking it. Yes! A spell potion for that.

    Anxiety Ender!  Please!  😄

Thought maybe this might be helpful for some people who like/try to be organized about their collections? This is the worksheet that Luna and I used to create this set, that then got turned into a printout for the shop that people can read while sniffing them. There's so many this month, I thought it might be useful. You can print it or copy it and add your own notes to your copy. (You'll have to print it sideways.) Have a look, here:
