  1. I would like to reserve a Lina's Cherry Rum Yum if any are available please.
  2. Lucky, androstenol! Thanks for the first-hand reports. Oh, god, why didn't I just buy a full bottle set? Just curious, has anyone else been worried that things will sell out faster now that customers can walk into an actual store? I've been afraid to ask and wondering if Mara is making a little bit extra now. Or will the competition be even more fierce to get the popular ones. Anyone else feel this way? I've always had a big problem with limited edition anything and getting it before it's gone.
  3. I had a sample of this for a long time waiting for the perfect day to try it and one day I just did. When it went on Etsy, I snagged 2 bottles which is binge-shopping for me! Out of the bottle, I get a cinnamony apricot honey. I feel this scent best represents my personality. My given name means honey and I am a natural redhead , not flaming, but a subdued red that has faded as I’ve aged, so I like to think of myself as a “cinnamon girl”. If I had to pick one signature scent, this would be it phero’d or not. When I apply it, I get the usual LP vanilla with a bright apricot note that I never seem to smell in the original Love Potion. I feel the apricot is really amped up in this variant or maybe I just amp it in this one. I don’t know so much that it’s a lighter version of LP Red than it is a brighter version without the smoky resins. However, I haven’t taken LP Red for an official test run. I am also not sure it’s the La Femme Mystere that is maybe changing the scent. So, about the phero—La Femme Mystere is a hard one for me to judge as I feel my outward personality kind of already is the intent of the phero –I feel I already inadvertently project an unapproachability despite the fact that I am friendly and open if not a little reserved. I don’t make the first move. I’ve read here this is a phero to wear sometimes if you want to be less approachable. So, if the phero’s intent is to make you mysterious, then it is kind of lost on me. Wearing this to work this last time, I was approached by a new co-worker whom I had only greeted once. He was very nervous even to the point of being kind of giggly. I not sure if he is always like that or it was me or the phero, but I found it very odd. I’d like to think it was the phero because it was also kind of amusing. The phero doesn’t seem to do anything to people who already know me.
  4. I think of this as the sweetheart of the four Love Potions in the permanent collection. And to think I wasn’t even going to purchase a full bottle until every member in my family said “You smell good!” when I came home wearing my first trial run. I thought it smelled kind of medicinal on me, I thought I was pink sugar doomed, but my family made me decide on a full bottle. They still comment when I wear it. After wearing it a few times, I really like it now and I am not getting the medicinal edge. Out of the bottle I get a pink cake. After putting it on, I get vanilla and cake and butter. A few minutes in I get a pink fruitiness. It has a distinct yumminess to it. It dries down to a pretty pink scent and it has staying power. I could still smell it the next morning before my shower and my husband commented again when giving me my morning hug. “You smell good!” This one seems to be a real people pleaser. I never considered myself a fan of pink scents , but this one has me reconsidering.
  5. This one is a winner with me—combining lemon and strawberry with Love Potion Original? Even though I get strawberry and lemon, it still has a certain weightiness to it that doesn’t limit it to a warm weather scent. I am thinking of the equally beautiful A Touch of Cerise which is a light, warm weather scent with its touches of fruit and lemon verbena. Out of the bottle, I get strawberry lemon, almost cereal like. Upon application, I get a flash of strawberry lemon , then the lemon takes over a bit. The lemon is sweet and candy-like. I definitely get the maple in this one . After drydown, it still retains a mellow strawberry lemon scent and the patchouli definitely stays in the background adding depth. My son just said it smells like cookies, so it’s got the foody quality going on. This one is not as long-lasting as some other LPs as I do need to reapply.
  6. Wow. There isn't one of these that doesn't sound absolutely fabulous! The entire collection is appealing. This is the first time I have considered buying a full bottle set, but I have a few other things on my list now. I will have to settle for a sampler and at least one or two full bottles. The rest I know I should sample before I buy the entire bottle, eh?
  7. Thank you, Mara!! I am so excited! My cart is ready to go when you say when! After seeing all the love and requests for OCCO Ambrosia...well I guess this will be my first bottle of OCCO!! Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!
  8. I got a sniffee of this in one of my last orders and seeing that there is still some on Etsy, I decided to give it a try. I usually put away sniffees of unavailable scents "for special" which means I just hang onto them as LP collector's items. I usually don't review based on a sniffee, but I just may buy a full bottle. It is as mentioned below quoting saffron23: I got the banana-like papaya which went a little plasticky on me, but after the drydown, I kept smelling something sweet, creamy, and spicy. I just kept getting wafts of it, but I couldn't really smell it when I put my nose up against the application points. Crazy, I know. I kept reapplying a little bit until I used the entire sniffee trying to figure out if I liked it or not. I even tried applying some of that "silicone stuff" to see if I could stop that plastic note from coming out. Other family members liked it. It starts tropical, but then reminds me of fall time spice. The drydown actually reminds me of Ebil-ish! 2014 when it dries down from the forward dreamy vanilla to those spices. I still keep smelling it now and thinking Ebli-ish! In fact, by drydown it surprisingly beat out the Fairy Cake: Banana swipe which I had in the crook of my elbow.
  9. Just more time to plan and prioritize.....
  10. I got this off Etsy as soon as it appeared purely because of the reference to the Pink Floyd song. I had to get it to show my husband how cool rock star Mara and her team (Julie and John) were to make such a thing -- perfumes named after his precious classic rock! But I also like Pink Floyd, my husband being the one who introduced me 20 years ago and tossing me Dark Side Of The Moon and telling me which track this perfume was. I saved this for summer and have started wearing it frequently. I pick up a fruity blend with a nice maraschino cherry on the top just sniffing from the bottle. After applying, the cherry leads into the blue musk and then it all kind of settles down to a fruity musk with a lavender undertone. After it dries down, I can't really pick up any particular fruit. I occasionally get a plasticky note which I think is from the coconut milk as coconut (darn it!) seems to do this to me. I was afraid of the lavender which I don't do well with or usually particularly care for, but it adds to the mix. Nice and mellow. By God, it is like Pink Floyd's music! I play them to relax on my drive to and from work. Huge Gilmour fan! I love that man's singing and playing--mesmerizing. Oh, the scent is really good, too.
  11. Welcome rob leeds! Nice to see another guy joining our forum. I can't really speak to any of the male scents as my husband can't really be bothered with it unless I put it on him, but have fun with all your purchases. The other guys on the forum will chime in soon I'm sure. I think everything Mara makes smells great!
  12. Indecision is good VerrryVeronica! I just got a small sniffie today, did a small swipe and I think this smells incredible. I get leather, but I am also getting some yummy vanilla. Too bad I didn't get this sniffie before Etsy sold out of this. Sorry, have to say this---I think Stevie Nicks would be proud. Okay, everybody groan now...
  13. Thank you! Got my package today and some yummy sniffees. The most fun part of opening the package is seeing the sniffie surprises!!
  14. I think Stamps must have had a tracking delay, because I wasn't able to track for 4 days and then all the sudden today it was updated and it was here!
  15. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with, but I am really ready now to buy a NR sampler. Checking in every day...
  16. I got this off of Etsy, one of my first purchases. I didn’t realize this was based off a sugar cookie. It just smells like Christmas in a bottle. It’s the clove that gives it the Christmas vibe or I am smelling hollyberry/bayberry? It just smells like spicy Christmas, a scent that if you light a candle that smells like Christmas, this is it. When I went to the music store to my son’s viola lesson, his teacher asked what smelled good in there and I asked if it was me and it was. So, it has a good throw, too. So much so that I think I overapplied. It put me in the Christmas mood at first application, but it is powerful on me. It’s funny how some things just disappear in your skin and some stick around. And even harder to remember which ones they are in your collection!

    Unwrapped

Mountainwitch - I swap out my scents, too!!! And I love pear scents! However, this smells like a wonderful holiday pear scent to me! I save it for late fall/Christmas. It definitely smells like a crisp pear, but with nothing but sweetness. A yummy pear, but a wintery pear if that makes sense. The husband commented right away that I smelled good just by walking in the room. But it does not seem to last very long on me. I must reapply. A definite slatherer! I do kind of get a floral. It must be the fig that is the culprit. I am starting to think that fig translates as "floral" to my nose.
  18. This was one of my first fragrances and let me just say I do get roses!. I love it. Out of the bottle, it is the perfect mix of Tootsie Roll and roses. It smells like chocolate, then dries down to rose on me. In fact, the rose takes over on me. I never really liked florals, but this smells like a Halloween floral. Probably because I wore it for Halloween. I think ultimately that it is a perfect Valentine scent – chocolate and roses drying down to luscious amber and cream! Love it!! Since I've worn it -- my daughter has walked into my room once and said "What smells like Tootsie Roll?" and at work I overheard a co-worker from a different department ask if our department had installed an air freshener to which my manager replied that it was me -- that I wear perfume with honey in it. It's funny how everyone smells something different. I also never knew what the word "aperitif" meant until LPMP!
  19. This one is special because it is the very first LPMP fragrance I ever wore. I pined away for this one because I love the notes listed in original Love Potion (vanilla, amber, patchouli) and I love Autumn. I wasn’t ready for the artisan quality of LPMP. I put it on and immediately thought I smelled like a Yankee Candle (I love Yankee Candle), but that this was not a candle scent I would purchase for my home. I was overwhelmed by the maple. Maybe I amp maple? It still smelled great, but I felt I smelled like a candle. Maybe I put too much on. My daughter also wore it at the same time and I felt it smelled better on her. It’s pretty strong on me. Wore it to work and people commented I smelled good. Then, came the LPMP awakening…I found myself craving this one. I just wasn’t prepared for the artisan quality as I had come from a drugstore musk perfume background, none which ever turned out to be that magical “it” fragrance. I had figured out what notes I liked from a different fragrance oil website. And then I got brave enough to submit my first order at LPMP. And this is so Autumn. It is an LP with a distinct maple tilt in my nose and it's delish. I did wear this for Thanksgiving and other times during Fall and put it safely back for the next season. There is no turning back. I especially love the Love Potion Variants!

    Yay!

Welcome, Lexykin! You should definitely get an LP Original. It is a most perfect scent. I'd be perfectly happy always smelling like that one if there weren't so many, many other choices. It was pretty much the one that made me obssessed with LP. I refuse to say I'm addicted...I can quit anytime I want!

    Hi everyone!

Welcome, nyx! So glad you found LPMP. Lots of fun to be had trying new scents and pheros. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with any of the scents you mentioned above. You will just have to sample, sample, sample! Donsie, I need that, too! I think that's the reason Mara made us Mega Watt or that Determination spell potion. "My tasks are complete!" Hmmm...don't know why I haven't bought that yet.
  22. Thank you for the quick service! Notification on Monday and delivery on Wednesday? On my birthday coincidentally? Across the continent. That's nuts! As others may have seen in my birthday thread -- my family stole my package, unpackaged it, and rewrapped it as a birthday gift causing me great concern when it was not in mailbox like Stamps said it was. Thanks for the burgundy bag and sniffies. I got lots of male sniffies this time, so I guess it's time to start trying stuff out on the husband. I cherish every sniffie I get, especially the discontinued ones which I just smell and hang onto like collector's items that they are.

    shelf life

Hi and welcome dream! I keep my unscented pheros in a drawer in my bathroom. Perhaps not the best place. And unfortunately, my phero'd fragrances are sitting out in my LPMP wooden rack (available on Etsy) on a regular seasonal rotation. Also, probably not the best place, but I like them to be visible and displayed. They are not in direct light and I can't stand a warm house, so I hope they withstand being out. I thought about putting the rack in a drawer, but the point is to see the beautiful labels, not the lid tops. And to remember what I own! My justification for buying so much is that I must use it on a regular basis.
  24. Just wanted to say hi and welcome Sylvian. I think it will be nice to have an additional guy on the forum. I like the unisex scents they make here. I haven't tried Sandy Bottom, but it's on my list to try. I have tried a sniffie of Eternal Sunshine and really liked it. I haven't been able to get my husband to really try anything. It's not his thing, but I make him smell me all the time! One time as a joke he picked out a random bottle and put it on. He came downstairs and asked me to smell him and I said "Is that Risen?", a unisex scent. He was surprised I could identify it just by smelling it. I was surprised he had "randomly" picked a unisex one and I noticed it smelled even better on him than me. I'll bet the male scents are just as delicious as everything I've been buying for myself. Once you start figuring out the notes you like, you'll want to try them all! Good luck with the ladies!
  25. Hi, Blanche! Wanted to welcome you. I will be no help at all because I haven't found a scent I didn't like. I like a wide variety of scents and the ones I don't think I will like, I end up liking and adding yet another to my collection. So far it's working out fine as I never wear the same one two days in a row!
