  1. @greenappletart Haven’t you used Sheer Essence? It seems like you commented on it somewhere a while back. @CosmoTea If you like OCCO White, Noco White smells almost identical. It is the same fragrance minus the cops. I wear that simple combo fairly often. Both are extremely long lasting too, which is another plus. Be brave (lol) try it! I’ll also layer Noco White to slightly alter how another fragrance smells.
  2. I missed out on the previous Darling Clementine, so I’m planning to order it before it sells out. Also Buns of Cinn, Allumette, Black Pearl, Material Squirrel, Wisdom, Ruzina Prasina, Figue de Lune, probably Snoozle, and one or two others to start, depending on what the notes are, and sampler choices.
  3. @Eastwood22 and @dolphindolls2 I’ve never used anything with Audacious in it. If either of you get Bubblegum Bettie please report back! If it really does smell pink and bubblegum like, this one might not be for me either 🙁
  4. @CosmoTea I’m so glad you like it! Travel shock is a real thing for perfumes such as Mara’s that don’t contain stabilizers etc. Never doubt. I made the mistake when I first found LPMP of firing off a multiple bottle order for a perfume I liked when it first arrived. Once it stabilized I wasn’t crazy about it. Thankfully Mara graciously canceled my order.
  5. @luna65 another clue I will most definitely try it. Everyone can use more wisdom. It’s a given.
  6. Well, I know I can’t realistically try them all, even though I want to. So far I know I’ll order 10. If I wasn’t in the middle of making soup at the moment I’d list them, but I have to go back and forth to check the spelling for most haha.
  7. I’m hoping not mahogany. 😐I want it to be unisex enough for me to wear. The mahogany in Bacca Rustica killed that one for me. I’m usually good with sandalwood though.
  8. @CosmoTea I’ve not worn either of these. However, it make sense to start out with a light application on areas of your body that are the warmest in order to help diffuse the scent into the air. Lift up your hair in the back, and spray on nape of neck, and also into your hair in the back. Put it in your hair after you’re sure that you like it, and that he hasn’t expressed a dislike of it though, or you’ll be washing your hair to get it out. This is a favorite spot that I apply all of my perfumes to, except those that contain cops. I even like adding some before I blow dry my hair. Crooks of arm, behind the knee, small of back are also typical warm spots. If you both like how they smell, you can be more liberal even on your clothing perhaps. Have you tried Gotcha? I don’t know how much EST is in Gotcha, and I remember you said he was adversely affected by it. But someone who knows can advise you if it’s not a good choice (others and especially @luna65). You may have already talked about Gotcha, I just don’t remember.
  9. I so want Black Pearl to work for me! The patchouli in LP Black might be a problem though. Probably will be, actually. I’m still trying it though.
  10. Omg (yes initials haha). I don’t know if I ever got a star before
  11. Sapience, sagacity sageness. Are we talking sage??
  12. Okay, back to Wisdom: Dill is thought to give wisdom, so perhaps Wisdom is a herbal fragrance. Dill paired with something a little spicy like bergamot or dianthus, and fennel or licorice.
  13. @Eastwood22 I noticed the Elizabethan collar, but I’ve been so focused on a couple of the others that I kept skipping right past it. Good catch! Also the Stargazer Lily. I can’t award stars but I’m pretty sure you deserve one!
  14. Wisdom- At first I thought “Gandalf” but it’s not him. Or not Sir Ian McKellen anyway. Then I thought Norse something or another, still no clue as to what fragrance would fit an old(er) Norse man who was wise, or Gandalf for that matter, so I moved on. Azul - Well it means blue, and Azul is also a board game we play. Colored tiles form stars. I’m leaning toward an aquatic fragrance. Ruzina Prasina - if the literal translation is rose dust, it could be a powdery rose with heliotrope.
  15. Well, if we’re talking movies, I think Wicked Wench would be a great name for a future LP perfume
  16. @luna65 All I can say is I hope like it, because BI is my go to. Blatant Invitation is my nighttime phero, whereas Charisma/Popularity Potion is my social bff. …. Staring me right in the face huh?
  17. Well, all symbolism aside, black pearls are pretty rare, I think from the Tahitian islands, and French Polynesia. I equate tiare flower with Tahiti. That’s all I got. It’s not much.
  18. How are we supposed to narrow down our choices for this new release? I mean really, HOW CAN THIS BE DONE? From the returning favorites, I have to get Buns of Cinn because I never tried it. And that goes for Material Squirrel too, because I’ve not tried Gimme Money or any of the prosperity potions. Another is Allumette. I don’t think I’ve ordered this. The previous Raspberry Chiffon didn’t work for me, so at least I don’t feel compelled to try that one. Also Beachy Peach, because peach does not like my skin chemistry. Queen Bee is a no brainer. Of course I need it. Snoozle needs a chance because the scented Savage Beast wasn’t a love for me. If @citrineis right, I’ll have to try Ruzina Prasina . Black Pearl is on my list. I hope it doesn’t have patchouli. But patchouli is an earthy scent, and I don’t equate pearls with earthy. This is how much progress I’ve made in narrowing it down. In a nutshell, I only know what I’m not going to try, and that comes to a grand total of two.
  19. Black Pearl— possibly a sensual version of Pink Pearl? Animalistic musk, orchid or tuberose… chocolate instead of the watermelon in Pink Pearl?
  20. @luna65 hahaha! About Material Squirrel— there I was brushing my teeth, trying to get to bed before midnight (fail) and it hit me that the hat the squirrel is wearing could be a Kentucky Derby hat. Derby, money…. It follows (unless I’m still wrong). So mint, as in mint juleps, grass, because it’s green like money and the derby is in Kentucky bluegrass country, bourbon, and sugar.
  21. … Fat Bottom Squirrels Now I’ll never not hear that when the song comes on. It’s playing in the background of my mind right now as I type this. Queen Bee —first guess is a fertility potion, but it’s unscented, so I guess not that. Carica —orchid blossoms, and papaya. Perhaps leaning tropical? Daisy Shore— windswept beache smells with daisies? (Yes, I am really bad at this lol) Berried Treasure - berries and something to make it more sophisticated Figue de Lune — figs, and light fluffy marshmallow…is that even remotely a combo Mara would create? I think not. (Unless I’m right, of course.) Rooted — earthy with leaves Now there are some seriously good looking guys on the labels, but it’s Wisdom that holds my attention, and not because I’m old and gray too! Wisdom dude has competition from Snoozle though. We all know cats are very wise! And in Snoozle’s case, very adorable too. I hope I like the scent, because the scented version of Savage Beast did not work out for me. Abd that’s it for the night for me. The battery on my tablet is in the red, and I’m going to bed.
  22. Okay, I’ll start the guessing game. I am so bad at this! Material Squirrel… By the wording it could be something like a clean “cotton” fragrance with pink sugar—due to the flowers on her hat and a play on words with material also meaning fabric or cloth. Or, if it’s a reference to Material Girl, the song, it could go the direction of the perfumes popular in the mid 80’s. Somehow I can’t see that squirrel wearing Opium or Obsession. And SWS doesn’t seem congruent with an over the top oriental kind of perfume. I’m still puzzling over the ones we haven’t seen before… and feeling clueless at the moment. And what about the new pheromone!!! Oh me.
  23. I can’t even!!! This is INCREDIBLE!!!
  24. @SirenSong we get to choose our sampler! I’m guessing it will be the same number of trial vial choices to a sampler. Is this correct @luna65?
