  1. Awesome! Thanks Luna. I'm going on vacation for the holidays, but I'm hoping this stuff is still around after the first of the year. I am ALWAYS looking to expand my options for the churchiness. I'm assuming the oil is the same way, right? Sometimes things in bath products can read a little differently on the skin, but usually it's close enough!
  2. Doo da Doo da dooooooooooooo.......haha. that's my patience song.
  3. I'm scoping it out too. Fall always is the best time for scents, to me.
  4. Oh give me a home where the Buffalo roam, and the deer and the antelope play, where seldom is heard a discouraging word, and the skies are not cloudy all day! This is so nice! It's casual, comfortable, like a favorite worn hoodie or an old favorite pair of jeans. It makes me feel content where I am, be that at home or away. It's wonderful! Like a perfect blue sky summer day in your old cutoffs, outside reading and having a cup of creamy coffee and jammy toast on the porch. It's a sweet and tasty scent, morphing through a rich coffee with extra extra cream and sugar, to a bowl of strawberries amidst a sun dappled field of grain. Soft in the tactile sense (but strong in presence! One of the best totems for longevity and sillage.), Foodie, and naturely (yeah not a word, I Know!). Comfortable and cozy, a companion of scent perfect for any setting except the highly swanky. I almost didn't get this one because the reviews are sorta lacking, but I'm so glad I did! Fans of sweet gourmands should try this, in fact if you dig strawberries or creamy coffee, try it! Those are the main notes and it's a combination worth smelling. The nuts and hay make a grainy backdrop. I can practically see the breeze blowing through wheat fields in the drydown. Very original, very good! ETA: Anyone who missed Arcana's Poison Candy might enjoy this. They have some similar qualities.
  5. Haha, thanks guys! Yeah I'm loving this one. I've been wearing it quite a bit lately. For one thing this one projects and lasts like a champ, and for another it's delicious! I came for the Tuberose and stayed for the cocoa butter! It's funny because truly, I didn't like cocoa butter before. It smelled 'dusty' on me. Made me think of candles in a thrift shop, all covered in a layer of dust that you just know will always be there. It's strange I know! It was like that in Coconut Breeze and the old Slave to Sin and a couple others. Not awful, but musty and dusty! But here, you Know it? All sweet and creamy with a little milky chocolate to it... beauteous! And just a fantastic mate for Tuberose. They help each other out. Both such Divas, but together they seem to be just perfect! I get a little musk and vanilla too, but it's pretty much all about the cocoa butter dipped Tuberose. I'm glad I took a chance on it!
  6. Dear Cocoa Butter, Hi. I'm really sorry I talked smack about you before and never invited you to any perfume parties. Now that I'm getting to see other side of you and getting to know you better, I see you are a very nice and friendly note. I hope you can find it in your sweet creamy heart to forgive me. Love your new friend, Cheesy B That's all I got tonight guys. I reckon I'll review this one better very soon!
  7. Hear Hear! QG always has something clever to say. I'm a Slave to Sin,haha.
  8. There's a pretty cool olfactory 'trick' going on here if you look for it. The concept is discovering an ancient Egyptian tomb and the treasure that lies within. Well, in order to get to the treasure, you need to exhume it first, right? I see that the top note of The Sand Box is a silty topsoil note so,in essence, you have to 'dig' through the dirt in order to excavate the treasure underneath! Cool! I see what you did there,Mara Fox! Pretty neat! And after that, make no mistake, the treasure is a thick, creamy Egyptian Musk! Yes, there's some of the lighter, more golden resins here and a Lil bit of fig, but it's all just support for a glorious musk. It's alllll about that musk! It's gorgeous! The only thing is that either the musk only lasts a few hours or I become anosmic to it after awhile. So as far as what I can smell,it only stays around three hours. But others may very well trace it on me much longer, I'll have to ask someone. It's a neat scent though,I'm really glad to have it!
  9. I think it's just a facet of one of the resins used. Like if there's a majmua or attar in there, there's possibly a rose component in one of them. But like Stacy says,I'm sure you can work with it. In addition to cops, you can try adding a vanilla like sugared cream or OCCO white?
  10. This has gotten the most wear so far out of all my sale scents! It's just so dang cute! It's like opening up a giant bag of mini marshmallows in every pastel color of the rainbow, wearing a cotton sundress, sitting on a fuzzy blanket out in the garden on a late spring day. That's right! It's sweet and cute, kind of creamy and powdery. Kind of baby pink and creamy blue, soft green and pale yellow. Marshmallow powder flying, plants warm from the sunshine. Lovely Stuff! And a great motivator, it would seem. I got alot done wearing this one and so the intent is there too. My little girl also just loves this and asks to wear it and I let her. So cute!! Happy innocence. Just joyful! Reminds me a little bit of Wolf and Sheppardess just in the softness/sweetness/fabrics and sugar way they were done. I wish I would have nabbed two of these!
  11. Ivysaur's post above me got me to buy this one. Newborn baby? Sign me up! And yes, she's right, I can see that. Kitten Heels is sort of a conglomerate of 'baby smell' and 'vintage powder', think Guerlain meteroites. It reminds me of commercial scents like Kenzo Flower and Guerlain Insolence; cosmetic, fluffy, puffy, girly and powdery. Very pretty in kind of a vintage pin up sort of way. Playful. Far more violet than 'pink'. In fact,I'm wondering, what makes a black rose black? Is it violet? It might be because I'd bet my bottom dollar there's violet in here somewhere, also lending said 'hint of androdgeny' to the scent. Concept wise, it doesn't really add up to me as I see this as far more of a 'sex Kitten' boudoir sort of thing than a domineering powerhouse that I'd relate to Angelina Jolie, but nonetheless, it's certainly a beautiful perfume! Perfect for hot days and nights or anytime you want to feel snuggalicious!
  12. Yum! This is one of the ones I waffled on a bit. I was a litte worried, for one that it would just be sharp on me because the old Sugared Dark Berries was. Also, mega fruity stuff just has never been my 'jam'aside from blueberry. I like fruit as accents mostly, I feel like they can go a little body fantasies sometimes. But the honey, Vanilla and blueberries won in the end,and I'm very happy I picked this up! It's fruity alright, but it has a nice rounded quality and a sparkle to it too. It reminds me of a couple things: LP Spring Equinox 2011 but less vanilla, more berry, and Vampire Bait just because it has that same High charged upbeat sparkle to it. Like a fruit version of Vamp Bait, rather than floral. It's just sweet, friendly and cheerful. I think it's a great potion to wear around new potential friends, I can't really see anyone disliking it. It also lasts a really long time and has great throw! Recommended to anyone who likes bright, happy sweet stuff!
  13. Welcome to the forum dear! Glad you came out of hiding!!
  14. This is lovely! It is exactly what I was hoping it would be. I wanted one of Mara's gorgeous waterlily aquatics in the same vein as Nymph! And Patience Potion, and this is right up there with those. For those of you not familiar with those potions, this is a DREAMY and peaceful aquatic scent just brimming with water magic and calm. The Lily petals are so very realistic, I can smell the pale green silken texture of them in here, floating on a smooth glassine surface. Calm, still waters and glorious flowers, not a drop of calone or ozone in sight, keeping this firmly in the indie arts realm, and not reminiscent of the 90's fad aquatics like Cool Water and Ck1. Not that there's anything wrong with those, but this is far more realistic, absolutely blue green and truly, it brings a sense of well being to me when I wear it. It's wonderful for bedtime or any time high stress is knocking you out. Smells like a cool, still blue lagoon of reprieve! I have so many oils, but this is one of those types of scent that I reach for often. So often that my other two similar LPs are almost done with, an almost unheard of thing for me. I must be pretty stressed out, haha! Anyway, another fabulous Totem. Love it dearly. TLDR: A dose of SERENITY!
  15. Hey there Mouse, and welcome! I'd have to try on my sample of this again, but I'm betting it's either the sandalwood or Cocoa powder going powdery on you. Probably sandalwood. I like this one, but it's been awhile since I wore it. Gotta try it again!
  16. This is the kind of scent that makes me so happy about threebies! Like, I'd look at this and think, hmm...but probably not take the risk, but when the risk is so low, I'm more inclined to try things I normally might not. This is great! Chocolate haters, fear not! Resin Hos, take heed! I don't know if it's the aging process or just my skin, but the chocolate and rasin are VERY quiet in this, and the black Amber (ie; dark resin blend), recalls some of my FAVORITE LPs like NOCO/OCCO Black, LP Black, even Spirit Bottle to quite an extent. These ARE smoky, church resins here and they take right over, leaving a dark chocolate and vaugely 'purple' accent from the other notes. In fact, I would have named THIS one Papal Purple, haha! But in short, this is the kind of scent I LIVE FOR. Smoky, sexy, dark burning sweet incense! Yum! This is also COMPLETELY unisex. Anyone who loves church scents, witch shop scents or resins in general needs to try it. It's still on the LP site in threebies packs, I don't know if it's sold Solo as well. But enough of my rambling, let it be known that this has bumped Blackstone out my top sale order spot!! Viva Los threebies!
  17. I think anyone who loves Tails of Mystery will love this too, and vice versa. It feels like a variation on that one even, like "Tails of Mystery Summer" or " Tails of Mystery Gold". It's a bit lighter and more golden rather than the deep Brown I assign to Tails, but the nostalgia inducing regal resin Halo is very similar to me. The neroli, I think makes it a tad brighter and maybe a little more approachable to those who find powerhouse scents or heavy resins in general 'scary' and I can see where people get a clean feeling from it. It's very natural smelling, not a synthetic feeling in sight, and it's light enough to feel like you just ooze this wonderful golden aura from your pores. It's present though, not TOO light, great for warm weather. As for intent, I wore this out on a walk this evening in tattered shorts, not a lick of makeup and my hair in a clip, but I still felt quite confident and chatted with a few neighbor's. I usually don't get so social unless I'm done up a little, haha, but this made me feel very comfortable in my own skin. But what else would you expect from the King of the Jungle?! Another fabulous totem scent, so happy I got it!
  18. I'm sorry JOC, that's a drag. I've been right there with you. I'm having a decent summer, but in the fall I'll have to put the clamps on too. I was able to squeeze one more sale order out this year, and continuing with threebies cause they are SUCH a great deal, I got: Always a Lady Passionate Whispers Dance with Desire Totem Horse Totem Seal Totem Ducky The Perfumed Whisker Enchanted Wonderland Breakfast in Bed ( bacon! Eh? Gotta see what's up wit that.) I'm sorta trying to push myself out of my comfort zone a bit this year and so far it's been paying off. Like chocolate is not something usually buy, and Blackstone ended up being one of my very favorite ones so far. Cocoa Butter is usually one of the very few 'hell no's notes for me, but I had a tester of Dance with Desire, and I kinda like it! I dig Tuberose and I guess the Tuberose is telling the cocoa butter to back down some. Cocoa butter usually smells 'dusty' on me,like old attics. Strange. But I'm going to see how a full slather goes!
  19. This is not something I would typically go for because at first glance it looks a little too foody for my taste, with chocolate being a note that can go off kilter for me. But I was feeling risky, and I do like this one alot! Luckily, the chocolate is dark, the Apple is tart and green, not overly sweet and the woodland notes really hold it down and keep it from going all BBW Candy Apple on me. It's pretty unisex, honestly. The chocolate even comes off smelling like black coffee on me for the first couple hours. Nice and strong, good sillage which is always a plus. Smells like October. I think it will be EXTRA suitable when the weather turns. Will have to wear it longer and once more before I give it a full review. I haven't hit the long drydown yet. Ok,, it's a little later and now I am getting a fair blast of sage! It's very nice! Its become Pretty much all woods, nuts and lightly sweetened sage. It's very unique! Don't judge it too much wet, because it comes into it's own after about a half hour on the skin. It's a bit of an acquired taste at first, but it mellows into a very nice unisex Midwest forest kind of scent.
