  1. "The Feast of Tabernacles, or Sukkot, is the week long Jewish harvest festival. A holiday favorite, we followed a traditional Kosher Compote recipe in making this perfume and it smells absolutely delicious - but remember, it's not edible, it only makes you smell that way! The aroma of a bushel of sweet ripe Plums, complimented by a dash of Peach, Clove, Sugar, Cinnamon and a tiny splash of Apple juice. Mmmm!" The first breath is plum! Super fruity and fabulous. Sugared peach and cinnamon-sugar applesauce in the drydown. Fades quickly to clove and peach. Tabernacles isn't as bold as the other holiday blends I tried so it will be good for every day use.
  2. "Phantom of the Trailer Park is a fragrance like no other! A floral gourmand perfume, with notes of lilac, magnolia, geranium, mesquite smoke, cherry pie, fresh linen and Spumante. A special treat for lilac lovers!" It was tought pulling the notes out of Phantom. I had to look at the desription and go "Geranium? check. Cherry pie? check" It's complex and a fast morpher, too. Here goes it... Wet: Geranium, cherry pie and white grapes Drydown: First, Lilac and spent dryer sheet. Then, mesquite smoke wafts in and out unassumingly. Finally, Magnoila, white grapes and cherry pie. I wanted a cherry pie scent and here it is. 'Trailer Park' sounds unfairly white trashy for the scent because it rounds out so delicately, like wildflowers around a truckstop diner on a spring evening. Altogether very mysterious and sniffable. p.s. Good call on Dreamland. Loved that flick.
  3. Aha! I was pleased to see this as a freebie in my order. I am a floriental kinda girl and this is one of those. I like it alot. Wet: honeysuckle and clean, white musk (a unique combo) On skin: mellow tiger lily and amber drydown I may be updating my Top 5 to fit this in. Well done, Mara!
  4. This is like Christmas Clove Cookies, only instead of clove it's lemon cream icing on a ginger snap! The citrus edge takes away a bit from the cozy gingerbread cookie I was expecting but it's still yum. (In a side by side comparison of the two, I prefer Clove.)
  5. This smells alot like Gothic Xmas without the fig and roast chesnuts. Wet: vanilla barista syrup On skin: Well, whaddaya know- butter cookies (carmelized sugar, melted butter) hot from the oven. The clove note is right behind the butter. The only problem with this is that I'm hungry, now, and suspect I will be whenever I wear it.

"The beautifully fresh, wintery scent of Holly, Ivy and Mistletoe. May be worn by both women and men." In the bottle: Christmas room fragrance or potpourri. Don't be scared! This only last for a second. On skin: Wet, this smells like the place you go to cut your own Christmas tree on a snowy evening. Something cold and eucaplyptus like is in the background. Drydown: Incredible! The pine steps back for a perfect balance of holly berry and ivy leaves and morphs into a sexy herbal. This is going to be my snow day perfume. It's really uplifting. This would make a great year round body wash, too, like Aveda's rosemary mint. This is the first unisex scent I've ever worn that he likes on me and likes, too. We'll be fighting over this one.
  7. I just did! If there's not a review up I'll post one
  8. Eggnog Riot Our beautiful eggnog perfume is rich, creamy and oh-so-heavenly. A fine American tradition worth rioting over! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Our beautiful eggnog perfume is rich, creamy and oh-so-heavenly. A fine American tradition worth rioting over! " Let me tell you, this beats the pants of BPAL's Egg Nog In the bottle: vanilla barista syrup On skin: cold milk and vanilla pudding mix with just a suggestion of nutmeg. Drydown: warm vanilla and the spice of spiced rum. :)
  9. Hey, donthate- You should try the BFF Potion if you haven't already. It's got that apricot in it with a swirl of chocolate and other sweet stuff. I'm wearing it now, in fact
  10. As long as this thread has gone there already, I came across this Norman Maiiler (RIP) interview from last year where he's talking about body odors and kinkiness. He starts talking about internet dating and needing to smell potential mates, then says that when deoderant first came out it smelled worse than natural smells. Then he says, "Look back to the court of Louis XIV. They bathed every three or four weeks, so you got the raunchiest crotch odors mixed with some very special perfumes. And of course, they were screwing in every bush, not to mention every bedroom in Versailles. I'm just saying, the kinkiness now, whatever it is — being hung upside down while getting a b******? The point is, it's all in search of a lost smell." Is that what these perfumes are trying to recapture? I think I'll pass...
  11. This is woody, good for layering, and subtle. Fresh, dewy springtime woods. I wished it was more pine-y, but I like my pine heavy like sticking my face in a Christmas tree.
  12. Seriously, my teeth hurt smelling it! lol I've only tried it with Spider Silk, the ultra soft baby powder fragrance. It ends up something like an edible, sugared version of Love's Baby Soft, pink and snuggly.
  13. Lolita's Kiss was one of the very first LPs I tried because that book just rocks my world. I loved the "sugar cane" note (That would be a great note to have on its own, too) and the brown sugar passion flower. But you're absolutely right about the fruits taking a backseat. Patchouli and honey are too sexy/exotic on me. 9/10 I see those notes and run after many bad experiences in other lines. I had a Kama Sutra gift set once and this reminded me of the massage oil (sans cinnamon) combined with the honey dust. You know, a, Eastern bedroom scent.
  14. Dang! This is right up my alley. Is it similar to Yule Snuggle (minus the gingerbread)?
  15. LOL! I've been hearing a lot about this lately. You know women are not going to buy it. It's a shock campaign, I think. You know there's a whole market for stuff like this? Beer brewed with vaginal yeast, yogurt with vaginal bacteria in it. The only people who are really interested in it are those that are laughing, and the sad, lonely men who buy used underwear on eBay.
  16. Diana is also a very beautiful floral. It's weird, but it reminded me of a funeral home bouqueted for a wake. Many lillies, I believe.
  17. 1. Love Potion White 2. Dark Seductions 3. Winter Snow Blossom 4. Sugared Grapes 5. Blood Martini
  18. "Ah, poor Persephone. Tricked into spending half the year in the underworld by her husband Hades, who fed her six deliciously sweet pomegranate arils. During those 6 months, her mother Demeter cries and allows the crops to die and the world to become a mirror of her grief and desperation. Persephone returns on the Spring Equinox and Demeter again tends the Earth." The oil has a lovely red cast to it, which is a nice touch even if it was a natural side effect. The scent is really fun, for all its underworld associations Tart, sugary and effervescent; dripping juice and sugar crystals. I'd like this scent to be a bubble gum flavor, actually. Tastiness.
  19. *gets distracted by thoughts of English candies* Most definitely creamy strawberry and cherry. Kinky nights with whipped cream and strawberries, in fact. Naughty...
  20. Description "The delightful scent of grapes picked fresh off the vine -, tart and sweet and sprinkled with light powdery sugar! Magickal properties include fertility, wealth attraction and increase of mental prowess." Mmm! This makes a delicious companion to Sugared Berries! Berry for daywear, and Grapes for night. Yes- Iced wine! You know, the grapes picked after the first frost that make dessert white wine? It costs a fortune, but it's the absolute best! Exotic, elegant, ladylike. Yup, if someone told be this was high-end French perfume, I would not only believe it, I would buy it. (Adds to big bottle list)
  21. What she said! I used to pick wild blueberries at the farms near the vineyard in the late summer harvest, and this is all those smells. Sticky fingers, bushels of ripe berries off the bush, and a suggestion of freshly popped merlot. Another winner!
  22. This goes on very Amaretto and boozey-like, which is a-ok by me. As she relaxes and morphs, she turns to a luscious honey-dipped almond and lingers sweetly.
  23. I am totally in love with Rabid and am definitely getting a big bottle asap. I can smell currant and clove and some of the night blooming florals from Dark Seductions. Fabulous!
  24. " She awaits him in the deserted cove, the edge of the waves lapping at her naked feet. The full moon rises overhead, casting an eerie illumination there, at the edge of the world. The night is sultry, hot. She begins to sing, throaty and passionate, willing him to come to her. The thick scents of Coconut Oil and Cocoa Butter permeate the air, Papaya and Pineapple only seem to accentuate the heat. From the shadows of the breaking waves, he comes. You can taste the passion as the weather threatens to explode around them. Welcome to your Summer of Sin. A sultry summer potion ~ erotic, buttery oils, cool tropical fruit, and sizzling heat." In the bottle: Thick cocoa butter and kukui top note. Papaya is relaxing in the middle with what I swear is mango. On skin: Kukui papaya. And pineapple. A rich pina colada served in a hurricane glass rimmed with cocoa dust. Drydown: Stays consistent. The fruit notes are reminiscent of Mermaids, but the overall effect is totally different. This mermaid is less a deep sea nymph and more a Tahitian princess. I love summer I've just got to say that this smells lickable and I'm glad to have a big bottle Cheers!
  25. Leanna Quigley rules! Please tell her I became a woman to Beach Babes From Beyond- seriously!
