    Celebutante!

Unfortunately I'm with Syn on this. It went despairingly lemon candy and maybe a little waxy upon drydown. Will have to try again in a week or so.
  2. Very nice. Fruity but not really identifiable as 'fruit' so it has a wonderful light sweetness to it that makes it come across as a floral on my skin. The vanilla amber musk layers in there nicely and the powdered sugar keeps it soft. It's not a 'food' scent, it's a light, summery, girly perfume. I got 3 "You smell nice!" while wearing this the first time. vetiver is in there? I usually amp the hell out of that. Weird.

    Seelie

hyacinth, heather, birch, musk, rose stems, baby ferns...okay now that I know what to pick out I'm getting it. Makes sense. I really like florals. They hate me. I'm jealous of the feminine aura they create on others and the way men (and women) react to them. C'est la vie.

    Baskery

Second try today: Oh thaaaaat pastry. LOL! How did I miss it? Kinda like a canolli pastry. Still get those cinnamon/vanilla/brown sugar/maple-ish notes. Maybe some nuttiness in there. Look, I don't know what is in there, I only know it makes a foody happy. A huff-haze. If your partner likes foody scents you're gonna get glomped. Excellent staying power. I didn't refresh once in my 9+ hours of work.

    Seelie

Seelie Imagine a kingdom with such majesty and pomp as to make the wildest dreams of excess pale by comparison. A land of magic...of love...a realm where every wish comes true...the land of The Fae. Only a worthy monarch can rule, she who embodies all of these traits to the ultimate degree: The Seelie Queen. Those in her presence are awestruck by her flowing gilded hair, her eyes gleaming like emeralds in the morning sunlight. But her aura is what puts her loyal subjects, her most ardent worshipers onto their knees…a scent that is fresh like a sparkling stream, bearing gentle floral tones and the faintest traces of lacy young ferns and the blonde woods that surround her kingdom. Her most faithful subjects will feel her divine, protective love courtesy of the subtle notes of hyacinth and heather, while hints of freshly-cut rose stems and hawthorn berries enhance their own self-confidence, making them feel truly powerful in her presence. The sweet woodsy base of birch and spruce blends with the Seelie Queen's own ethereal musk to enrapture and bespell all in her presence. It's such a pleasant midsummer night…a perfect time for a ball. Let the revelry commence! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Magickal Meanings of Ingredients: HEATHER ~ Admiration and beauty; protection, especially over women and virtue. Peace, beginnings, elemental magic, wishes granted. HAWTHORN BERRIES ~ Protective of hearth and home, health, draws magical energies, wards off evil. BABY FERN ~ Sincerity, fascination, eternal youth, bestows confidence, riches, creates perimeter of protection, luck. Representative of ancient knowledge. BIRCH ~ Symbolizes renewal and cleansing, birth, healing, Lunar energies, and protection. HYACINTH ~ Attracts love and luck; protection, playfulness, joy, relieves grief, eases childbirth. Dependability, constancy, friendship. ROSE STEMS ~ Self-confidence, strong aphrodisiac properties, attracts affection & love, fertility, divination/clairvoyance. IVY ~ Wedded love, fidelity, friendship, affection, protection, sex, divination, healing, stamina. SPRUCE ~ Protection against enemies. BABY WHITE TEA LEAVES ~ Invigorating, refreshing, mentally and physically uplifting, lust. Riches, courage, strength. PALE SWEET MUSK ~ Self-confidence and strength, sexual attractant, heightens passions and arousal. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I didn't see a topic for this yet? This is capital F Floral. A bright, white bouquet. Clear flower notes but I don't know what they are. No supporting cast and no need for them. I do not do florals. That being said, I like it. I'm astounded that it did not turn sharply on my skin like nearly every other floral, but stayed quite pleasantly flowery. Give Peas a Chance also work with my skin and I love Hoyden, if that helps. If I said it was like the florals in fine milled soap that will mislead you because this is not soapy. If you do like florals you will slather this and get it in every bath and body. edit: forgot to mention it has good throw.

    Summer Belle

It is humid here. I want to roll in the scent instead of rolling it on! Oooo hey I can do that with bath and body. :>

    Baskery

WHERE did they get the picture for this bottle?? Mmmm. Me foody. Me likey! First Test: Stongest notes are cinnamon, vanilla and maybe brown sugar. (I'll have to check what is actually in there.) The vanilla is foody, but the dry kind. I'm not registering a pastry note. Overall not as strong as say, Buns of Cinn. I'm getting something in the Rocket Fuel family and if you like LP Red you might like this too. At first wiff I don't think they'll come at you, ravenous teeth biting for the jelly filling. This is more of a nuzzling, hold-still-I'm-not-done-with-you vibe. I'm thinking bottle. With pheros cuz I'm wicked that way!
  8. popping in to say that i've only just seen the labels and lovvvve them! Where does she get those marvelous toys? err...pictures.

    Summer Belle

Interresting. Very summer. Wow is this summer. I got mostly fresh wet melon upon application, in a softer way that other melon scents. Like the melon is a little greener than full ripeness. More honeydew-ish to me. Also cut grass which was, again, softer. Cut grass can be a sharp or heavy scent but not here. It is a surprising combo. I'll have to retest this later. It feels cool, fresh and dewy. I can't really say it is a clean scent as slices of melon on your body would leave you sticky, wouldn't they? But you'd be very refreshed!

    Banoffee Coffee

Some people are 'foodies' and some are not. Vive variety! I can't do florals so I aims to be nibbled.

    Banoffee Coffee

Did not work on me the first few times, too coffee or too banana as most scents with either of those notes can be on me. I revisited it this week and it has aged well. Now I'm getting the smooth true coffee with a softly sweetened carmel. The bananas are also smoother, truer and deeper. Better balance. Nommmmmmmy.
  12. Damnit. This does nothing for me or my target audiences. :/ However this could be due to a lot of factors so I'll give it another try in a week or so.
  13. Hi J! Glad you found some scents you like. Some LPs have a way of shifting while you wear them. You will probably find a whole wardrobe of scents and pheros to suit your moods. Can't wait to read your reviews.
  14. Aloha! Are you from hawaii originally? Hope you find many more lovely scents and friends here

    Cry Havoc!

Cry HAVOC! and let slip the pillows of naptime? It is indeed surprisingly soothing. On me it leads with a softer cedar that is paired with a woodsy lavender. Has a green edge. Clean. Little sharp. Soapy in a good way, like you just stepped out of a spa. Induces skin nuzzling. Yeah, the kind of clean that gets dirty right away. Uni-sexy scent and I think on a man it would make me think of a log cabin weekend. Men should not shy from this one. Still work appropriate for both but I wouldn't swear to it if you added pheros.
  16. You know those movie scenes where the lovers run towards each other through a field of wildflowers and they meet and pull each other down into the grass and the camera pans descretely up? What does your amore skin smell like after rolling about in a field of spring flowers? Cuz I'm expecting one of those scents. It's time for A'MAYING. And maybe another floral cupcake? Stalking on sunshine. I got the stalk like jagger.
  17. You mean the avatar (or icon or user picture) like my red riding hood? Click on your name and it should take you to your profile page. Dig around for the option to change your picture then upload your own picture file. Sorry I can't be more specific, but my browser really limits what I can access here. Good luck!
  18. I forgot a warning! Self-effects. Because I have worn LAM at work and suddenly that coworker whom I never looked twice at - looks damn good. Beware of self-effects. Especially when they wear off and you're left wondering what the heck you were thinking... LOL!
  19. Good replies! I'm going to throw in my unneeded two cents. Pheromones are a signal. Like a miniskirt or red lipstick or high heels. You put them on to send a message but people make up their own minds about what they will do. For work, even if there is one guy you are trying to attract, all of your coworkers will smell you and you still have to work with them. What if you attract the wrong one? And a few of my female coworkers get VERY irriatable if I wear sexual blends. So I don't. Also, at work you strive for other people to see you as smart, competent, capable and reliable. Nice. Popular. A worker. Not a sex toy. Once you have his attention and a chance for some one on one time - that's when you break out the fun stuff! As far as cautions go - I am not going to attract attention walking down the street so I don't worry, but I believe a cute girl loaded down with pheromones is going to have to be a little more on her guard than usual.
  20. Do a test run. If there are hot lights or odd ventilation the perfume might diffuse too quickly or not enough. You don't want to OD when this is primarily for self-effects. You also want an idea of your 'sweet spot' of amount of perfume + time evaporating. A spray on your chest will probably work for a cloud of Oomph! around your head. Or a little roll on the back of your hand and then smear your hand across your neck. Use a little under the amount you think you will need and carry extra for refreshing. You've rocked it before. Rock on!

    Encens de Café

I do not like incense notes - even in incense. Not my bag. This is dark roast coffee and then incense comes along for the ride in the dry down. And I like it! I know because I was still getting ready for work and got a whiff of myself and said, "Oooo SMEEEXY!" LOL! Give this one a try.

    Vieux Carré

I really like this one. Possibly my favorite of the month. I don't know why I was getting notes of booze and cake (other than I think everything /should/ smell like cake.)
  23. Ooooh. I am shy of using berries because they often /scream/ on me but this is just right. Bright, juicy raspberry. Then this warm amber note that makes me purr. Cuddling in the gentle, not-too sweet fluffy.
  24. I seem to only get a darker cake-ish/graham-cracker-crust scent from this. No citrus. It is an awesome secret weapon. People get caught in the bakery goodness cloud and then the PP works its mojo. This is my networking blend. I was slathered in it at the convention and came away with a half-dozen new contacts I was specifically after. I gave my friend the scrub for Christmas and she LURVS it. Plenty of orange and creamy cake for her.
  25. CONGRATS Mara n the LP Team! So exciting! Wheeeeeeeeeeee!
