Sharp and soap, is what I get. Not in a bad way, but too strong for me. An expensive european hotel soap. Clean, just not my style. No tea, no fruit, & vanilla waaay in the back. Weird. Will have to see how it ages.

    Give Peas a Chance

I recently revisited my sample of this and I agree that it is very fresh, clean and daytime. I can't pick out a specific floral, but on me it is a sweet, pure 'flower' smell. Not syrup sweet. No spice or anything heavy. Just flower. Suitable for, but not exclusively, the young. Me likey.

Finally got around to trying this. It smells like scented Cougar on me. Maybe half a notch down from that sharp spice and a notch down on the fruit. Cozy enough for sleeping.
  4. So far my experiences with pheromones have been... 1) There are a LOT of factors that can change the effects. Humidity, skin chemistry, time of the month, dosage, location, wind, mood, etc etc. Keep trying. 2) Pheros are not magic bullets. They do not alter the way anyone feels, but they can /enhance/ if there is already a feeling there. This goes for self-effects and effect on others. 3) Personally, I need time to adjust to pheros. I haven't liked any of the pheros right off the bat. But if I keep wearing them I do get used to them and start to see the results I am after. 4) Results vary. Your target audience may not get the message at all. And reactions may be subtle. For example, I was wearing a 'sexy' phero when I happened to walk by a coworker I normally think of as 'cute' and suddenly he was CUTE. Self-effects alert! But does he know that I thought this? No way! And I'm not going to tell him. So keep trying, if you want. Otherwise keep in mind that regular scents can have very strong effects on people, in and of themselves. Lavendar can be calming, pumpkin is sexy, mint is envigorating, etc. If you are finding that they disappear quickly - reapply! (Might want to ask around if people can smell you, just in case you are throwing off more than you think.) The upside of having to reapply is that you don't have to reapply the same scent. LP has definitely converted me into a happy scent mixer. Layers of scent. Giddy. Always interesting new combos to discover.
  5. Sorry if this is beating a dead horse, but the search function only functions with words over 4 letters in length. Not always a good thing. I need a phero or phero combo. I've just found myself dropped into a political LION PIT. Seriously. Politics. How the hell did I get suckered into this. Battle royale for ultimate power going on around me. Me in the middle. Both sides wooing me, yet poised to shred me,...and I still have to /work/ with these people. I'm a wee bit stressed(!) trying to suss-out all the plots, where my moral compass should eventually point, and trying to be my normal friendly self to all. *sigh* Basically, while Popularity has allowed me to survive thus far, I am running out. I need a replacement. To woo & soothe the Alpha Female pack should I go with G2 or B2? Open Windows to help me suss-out the plots or would I spill my guts first? Focus to keep me alert? Charisma for a little star power? A claymore? I am /not/ an alpha female. I'm an extroverted introvert.
  6. Thin Man shout out!! :>
  7. Hi Jaycee, You know, I did visit another couple scent forums and poked around. I have to say that I didn't /learn/ anything. That is not what I'm looking for. Here the setting is open, informative, comfortable, educated and honest. I don't feel pressured into anything or shamed out of anything. The scents really sell themselves because they are entirely fabulous. I bought the scents long before I started reading the forum. Did I mention that it is FUN here too?
  8. I rrrrrrrreally like this one. Very femme. It doesn't feel like it has a lot of throw because it is texturally soft, but it has reach. Fruit/floral. Pear or a sweet melon with a white flower. Bit of soft vanilla. Watery. Powdery. Slightly sharp. Clean. I find it very 'spring' rather than winter. That crisp snap of fresh green buds rising through the crystals of snow. That change of the light that = Spring. Worn when I visit Conservative Land, I find this is close to 'regular' floral perfume. (Only FAR better.)
  9. I'd do him. Okay, I wouldn't do /every/ man who wears this, but if I was on the fence about someone and he was wearing this it would go a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnng way towards convincing me. And if I /would/ do him already and he was wearing this, he had best put on elbow and knee pads and a helmet because I would be bouncing him off every piece of furniture in the house. With extreme prejudice. This is not what to put on if you intend to /leave/ the house, cuz that ain't happening. Oh and it has a nice scent too.
  10. The Lovely-Devious Ladies sent a sniffee and I did a little dance because I've been aching to try more of the 'guy' stuff! Wow, this is a lovely masculine blend. I didn't find it sweet on me, but more of a warm slightly spicey/plant vanilla that is tonka to my nose with a little boozey thing in there and the um...can I say 'clean' scent of tobacco when it isn't being smoked? with a nice drop of amber maybe. (I don't know the notes specifically, but that's what I get.) It mellowed to lean more towards the vanilla side, but it is a darker 'boy' vanilla. This is toooo masculine for me to wear, but I do like it. Sent it off to my friend to try on her DH. *fingers crossed*
  11. I must admit this one did not /quite/ work on me. No lemon and the cake was very subdued so not as sweet and more spice than I maybe prefer. Blame my chemistry. Altho I did enjoy mixing it with Jungle Colada for a pineapple upside-down effect. I've sent my bottle off to hopefully a very happy home!
  12. Okay....WHAT archive? Where? What are you talking about? Is it somewhere on the boards? Clue phone - ring ring!
  13. OH? What are you hinting at?! What are you doing over there? Spill! Drat this one way monitor! I am vury happy with the lotion. Working with my hands all day makes me focus on them and very sensitive to having anything 'icky' on them. LP body lotion doesn't give me any feeling of having something 'on' my hands but I can definately feel the difference. Vast improvement in skin texture. The back of my hand is probably comparable to the inside of my wrist. (I'll wait while you check yourself.) Even my knuckles, which get rubbed raw and crack, now only feel dry. I think the next step up of cream will probably bring them back to life. Katz, I nabbed a bittle sample /before/ gifting it. Is that bad? As punishment I got 2 good applications and am now out. Curses! I hope she likes it. Otherwise I'm sneaking into her house and stealing it back!
  14. Review. Okay. The bottle itself is a cobolt blue with a black cap and the LP website design on the label. Excluding the cap it is approx 3 1/4 inches high (roughly width of my palm) and just shy of 2 inches across at the base. Not a huge bottle but more on that later. On the lable it states that the lotion will be good for 6 months and that sounds very reasonable. It is dead of winter, record low temps outside, and blasting heat inside. I'm DRY! Need lotion! The lotion itself is surprisingly thick. Viscous. At least it surprised /me/ because I'm used to the watery stuff in the big bottles of name brands. This is a little bottle that skips the water. LP lotions is rich & creamy in texture, absorbing easily into the skin without leaving an oily or waxy layer behind. Yay! I avoid most lotions because they are icky, but I'm glad I gambled on this. Good stuff, but my hands get so bad in the winter from my job that I think I will have to upgrade to the deeper moisture of the cream. The Buns of Cinn scent is mouthwatering in this with the lotion adding an extra level of 'creamy' to the scent. This is Cinnab*n with extra buttery icing. NOM! Serious NOM! It fades a little to a cinnamon sugar. I gave the bottle to my sister for Christmas, but you didn't think I'd let it go without TRYING it, did you?
  15. Okay, but how do other women react? Is this a scent I should never wear to work?

    Newbie :)

Hi! Welcome! I'm going to echo that Blatent Invitation is the one that gets me the most sexual attention and I also like to wear Like A Magnet. I am not brave enough to wear coplins without a little phero blend in there. Many of the perfumes by themselves are real head-turners. What works will depend on what scent makes you feel sexy and what he likes and it may take a little (FUN) experimenting to figure out just the right combo. It is kind of like the perfume is the little black dress and the pheros are the push-up bra underneath. Beware, you may soon have a whole closet full of miracles. LOL!

    Frog

Strange. I could have sworn I reviewed this months ago! On my guy friends this is GREEN. Wet leafy plants kinda green. Dew hanging like gems in the underbrush. On my skin this is a totally different animal. Smells bone dry and mossy. Very male, actually. Maybe some yarrow in there.
  18. I thought Actors Magic was going to be similiar in effect to Popularity Potion? In which case just pick a scent that makes you smile and kick your swagger up a notch!

    G String

My skin turns this into musk & baby powder. No fruit. Slight leather. Kind of sophisticated. I want to amp it with pheros yet I'm timid to tamper with the scent I like.
  20. Another one I really wanted to like and simply does not work on me. Rats! Smoke and more smoke and far too strong for me.

    Blood on Snow

I haven't put it on yet, but in the vial it is very fresh, slightly bright and the current is a dark berry. It is white on one side and red on the other. Edit: I gave this a test run last night. I struggle to describe a scent when my skin changes it to this degree. My impression was that after dry down it is a unisex scent. The red current falls back while the white and musk take the stage. It has a certain edge to it. And a softness, but not feminine. Hard to pin down.
  22. This is aquatic. I get a very beachy, sea salt kind of a smell from this. I'm sure I'd like it on a beachy kinda guy! It does feel rather complex so I can see where some people would amp up different notes. Probably would rock the pheros.
  23. I haven't reviewed this because you nailed it. An old fashioned garden rose, not spicy or green, much like the one in Sugared Roses. It is a little strange at first to encounter food and floral. I often use this soft, cuddle-of-a-scent for bedtime. Perfect for when I wear a pink, fluffy sweater. When I had my friend sniff me and he got the most puzzled look. "Rose and...Why do I smell butter?" He used to be a pastry chef so when I told him he laughed and said it did smell like buttercream icing!
  24. On me this does not smell quite like gingerbread, but it is delicious. I get a warm, dark, gingerbreadly spice with a slight floral in the background as it ages. I used to have a commercial perfume called Tuscany. Smells a bit like that. Good winter scent.
