When I first put this on, I neglected to shake it. (D'oh!) The cedar was most predominant. Then I shook it up, and it turned cloudy, and the scent changed a lot. The cedar is still there, but now as an equal part in a tapestry of awesome and complex scents!

Very resiny and incense-y! (And yes, the label is awesome!) Also, I was surprised at how much the ash looks like glitter in the bottle. It's silver, and shiny. It doesn't show up on my skin, though. Also, this is a bottle I'd kind of like to be able to peek inside of to see the different layers. Although it would be handy to be able to see the level of all the perfumes. Hm. Anyway, I peeled back the label a little to look, and it was cool!

At first, it's all vanilla and amber, which I think go really well together. Very rich, very creamy. There's a hint of lemon peeking out, and the woods and smoke in the background certainly do give it a little touch of ebil. Oh yes, on drydown, the woods and smoke really come out to play. Very nice!

When I first apply, the lavender is the strongest note. After a moment, though, the lovely vanilla comes through, and then it all melds together with the linen and various other florals to make a delightful new scent.

Oof, yes, it does get rather pricey. Sorry, ladies. :\ I'm in kind of a similar boat, not because of any outside force like that, but since I never managed to get a job that uses my degree after I graduated. So I'm not making a whole lot more than I did when I was in college. I'm starting grad school in the fall, which means my income will be drastically cut... Hopefully I'll still be able to make a purchase a month, or every other month... But I certainly won't be able to splurge like I have been lately. ;

And there are a couple more things I want from there, if they're still there next month. (I WILL wait this time, I WILL wait this time!)
