  1. I didn't review the ingredients when I tried this b/c I wanted to see if I could identify any specific notes with my prehistoric nose..

In the bottle: smelled something familiar, but couldn't name it. It's like the smell when I walk into the essential oil section at Trader Joe's. (which I LOVE and can never re-create on my skin)

First try: right away smell something warmly therapeutic. I want to say medicinal but not in a gross, off putting way but more of a healing warmth way if that makes any sense. Since my nose is so limited on scents I can name I'm going for feeling/state of mind invocation here :-).

30 min: drying down to…. sandalwood or cardamom? Like it. Also there is a sort of vanilla like smell similar to how LP red wears on me. *goes to check ingredients*

Okay so it's the benzoin that was medicinal/healing and it was warmed by the cinnamon/sandalwood. Mara this is a nice, rich, one. Spicy, but in a different way than I usually buy. I don't think I can smell the patchouli on me, though that was probably what I smelled in the vial (the Trader Joe smell that I'm alway's chasing). But I'm sure the Patch is working alongside the others to enhance them. Nice job. Will check back in after a couple hours

  2. I was drawn to this one... Pumpkin. Candy House. My type of scent! First applied, I get a buttery and sugar glazed pumpkin. Very sugary and sweet but not heavy or syrup-like. After wearing it for awhile now, it did what most spice notes do on me and it amped like crazy. All the sugar and vanilla is gone. I'm left with a very cinnamon pumpkin. It's almost like those Red Hot candies. BUT, my skin chemistry does this to cinnamon notes all the time. It might be less spicy on others whose skin doesn't amp spice to the moon.

Before it got all spice crazy, I really enjoyed it. I still like it, just not on me- maybe I'll put some in a scent locket or in my oil/wax melter to scent my house.

Good! (not for you for me LOL) This says Raq all over it. I don't think I've had a scent with pumpkin AND a lot of spice so I'm excited for this. Usually anything Amber amps on me so I think the vanilla and sugar will counteract that.

  3. Or psychopathy.

Glib zingers aside, I suppose you could make an argument for a purely unconscious sexual response provoked by pheromones. Biting is typically a behavior indicative of sexual aggression/excitement, but it is also socially taboo (hence my zinger). I suppose anything which could cause someone to violate boundaries in such an obvious way is a sign of attraction...? But on the other hand, in a situation where you weren't with someone else and someone bites you hard, then *expletive deleted* run for the hills because that guy has a smorgasbord of issues.

TL;DR: alcohol + pheromones = lack of inhibition, probably.

so not a reaction to phero? Just drunken buffoonery? Then I should change the title of this thread.

I've worn phero's for a few years and TBH wondered if they worked at all. AND I've been in countless social situations involving alcohol/phero's and nothing close to this has happened..I just don't put out the 'bite me' vibe…Since it was totally out of the blue I just attributed it to the BAM I was wearing.

  4. I actually got bit in the ear while at a bar.. LOL. My guy and I were having drinks at our local bar (friendly, laid back hole in the wall type) and we were socializing w/ a group of people we had just met that evening. One guy had quite a bit to drink, so I'm sure beer goggles n' all, but he kept telling my husband how lucky he was and I was gorgeous and blah blah blah, you know typical bar bullshit. But he was very animated and entertaining and during one of his stories he delivered the punchline and we all cracked up. So he reaches over and gives me this giant bear hug and BITES MY EAR!! LOL. Then tells me how good I smell and there's "something about the way I smell." No one caught the ear biting though and I was so surprised I just sat there stunned. No marks, but he did bite hard. I would say that would be a hit no?

  5. I have used SS4W with great success as a social phero. For me the social ones never did anything. (though I am going to try Popularity potion soon) SS4W is the one I reach for when I don't want to come on too strong but want to be social in mixed company and it heightens my mood as more playful and outgoing. And if you rarely feel "womanly" then it may not be in the sexual category for you either. Have you tried that one?

  6. I wonder if my chemistry has changed or my body is just "metabolizing" scents b/c it's used to them. I love LP Black now on its own. I used to have to mix it w/ Red or NOCO to keep it sort of sweeter on me. Now the sweet notes are not as sugary and the sexier notes like the resinous scents amp more. It's always been a staple in my LP box.

  7. Ahhh I get to "dust off" my bottle for the summer. This scent is so summer smelling to me. Reminds me of being a young teen and I just couldn't wait for summer to get here. It smells like the beach

  8. This is a thick dense opaque creamy pink. It's this color: SSA599082.jpg. It reminded me a lot of something else but I can't place it...maybe Sinister Pink? It gets sweeter and sweeter through drydown, and in late drydown it's mellow spice and cream, very little pink left. A delightful morph.

Tyvey your nails are perfect. Is that reg. polish or a shellac hybrid?

  9. Sniffing from the vial, this is pink frosting sugar goodness. Of course, once it hits my skin, any spice whatsoever amps to the moon. Wow, it was so gingerbread-y, it almost stung the back of my throat. I let it sit on my skin for a while longer... And now it's perfect. The spice tamed wayyyy down. It's very creamy and pink, with a little zing from the ginger. It really smells like opening a box of gingerbread cookies, the pink sugary berry notes are amazing!

Is this in any way like Sparkle fuchsia? meaning the spice to pink part? This is the one that jumped out at me in this month's NR's. Looks good. How much does the amber amp on this?

  10. Everything in the description list screamed RAQ SCENT. I am trying this today and it keeps morphing. Out of the bottle it smelled like cookies or cake and within a half hour I was getting definite maple and oud. The oud started to take center stage and was a bit much so I was worried there for a minute. I could only smell perfume and not the yummy spice and foodiness. But now after about an hour it is a perfect mix! I like that it has the more sophisticated notes of oud and patchouli. For me it gives the whole scent a more complex, layered smell. Funny it smells different on my inner arm than my shoulder. I always put a dab on my shoulder so I can huff with ease LOL. So far this is really nice on me.

probably the closest I'll get to wearing patchouli (dang I LOVE patchouli). It's one of those that melts into my skin (in a good way, I mean a good match type of way) I think the nut note also gives it a more grown woman spicy scent rather than a playful foody scent.

  11. This one amped on me intently. Something very perfume and floral. I think it was the vanilla? I smelled floral so strong I had to wash it off. Looking at the description it must've been the oak moss. Smells great in the vial though. I was hoping the spice notes would tame the other notes. Musk never agrees with me even though I love the smell. Boo Hoo. I have found that If I'm careful, I can wear scents that don't like my skin in my hair. I just put a dab on my hands and run it through the hair.

  12. I ordered just a sample of this. Smoke doesn't like me so MDC I hope I don't smell it on me either ! The other notes were just too good to pass up!
