    Cauldron Cake

Oh I hear you. I amp Patch like a hippie too. just the "dirt" note comes through loud and clear. I do love it though. BTW, Halo when are you going to give it a full review?
  4. Welcome Phoenix. I think you'll like Comp Positions. That Sexpionage is a killer. Did you read the reiview thread for it? HOt stuff
  5. Well, I just placed my order for a FB of LP Black, FB of Cauldron Cake, and samps of T. Tart, and P. soufflé. Can't wait.... I boosted my Cauldron Cake w/ La Femme Noir. Hope that's a decent pairing.

    Scotchies

I've been meaning to post again about this one: This is the most cookie scent I've ever had from LP. I've tried Nookie Cookie and I just got chocolate, but this one actually smells like cookies. I know I said it above, but it's such a realistic scent that people around me comment that they either: A) smell someone baking B ask me if I baked C) one person even said they suddenly got a craving for oatmeal raisin cookies. LOL. If I could've "wafted" on them I would have. (but we were in a group and seated). It seems I tend to like the fewer ingredient scents like this one,Noco brown sugar, and OCCO Red/black. hmmm. Well, whatever the case. I am having fun with this one.
  7. I have tried LP original in the past and before I couldn't tell the dif between it and LP Red. Now I can. To my nose, LP original is like LP Red's younger sister. Similar smells but less on the cinnamon/heat and more subtle and spicy. I can't pick out specific notes in LP original like I can in Red, but it's still nice. I like to wear the original during the day, then refresh with Red at night. Also, I can amp the LP original with Occo Red and not feel like I am too heavily scented. This is a great staple to have on hand if you can't handle the heavier resin/spice fragrances. It's nice and light.
  8. But I mean change in the sense that if it smelled disagreeable to me before, why would I like it now? and does it still smell disagreeable ON me to others? I am still rocking my LP Black though. Lately I've been trying it with OCCO Red. I still can't believe I can wear this with the Patch. in it. I am ordering a FB this month...
  9. Torn between pumpkin souffle and Cauldron cake.... Which is more spicy/pumpkinny?

    Cauldron Cake

I need to try this one too! hmmm, if ever I'd order a FB from this month's NR's this would be it. Though I love patch, it doesn't love me. I amp the "dirt". But it seems that there are so many spice notes, what's a little dirt? I can wear LP black so at least I know I can wear some patch.

    Tombstone Tart

This sounds like a Vicars/Tarts type of scent. With spice notes mingling with the fruit...maybe the fruit is in the foreground though? hmmm.

    Pumpkin Souffle

I'm soooo trying this one (obviously) LOL
  13. Labels are so neat!! Where do you come up with these??? just fabulous.. Can't wait to see what's in 'em!
  14. It makes me wonder though, do our noses change? (our sense of what smells "good") ? I always wonder that when I end up trying a scent that was waaay to strong a year or two ago, then loving it later. Does that mean it still smells equally strong/cloying to those around me much the same way it was too cloying for me at first?
  15. (said in Molly Shannon's Mary Katherine voice) "Sometimes I like to go into my husband's drawer and smell his Super for Men." LOL I do actually do this.....for obvious reasons This. Only I DO smell the maple really strong and it's okay since he only wears a smidge and you can only smell it when you get close. I always want to huff him if he wears this while he works (he works out of the home)
  16. You should commission a version 2 of this and call it "Bowlegged morning" or something LOL
  17. I wore this yesterday again and applied a bit more. This time other notes came through. Besides the verbena and apricot, I did get some resins, but not nearly as amped as the description, which, in my case is a good thing. This is a more subtle scent on me, made so, I believe because of those floral and fruity notes. It balances out all those dark scents to make a sort of earthy, yet feminine scent. ETA: This scent is JUST PERFECT when I'm burned out on just resinous scents and want a more sort of "Perfumey" scent. Usually on these boards I complain when a scent turns perfumey on me and by that I mean so overwhelmingly floral that I smell like a dept. store. I amp florals like mad so I don't like them. They never meld with my skin, just sit on top and blow their flowery trumpets waaaay too loud. But RM has just a hint of floral on me that mixes with is resin notes to create more of a warm, clean type scent (reminiscent of Sneaky Clean) but with a hint of spice that makes it just smell sort of warm. I get just the mildest of patchouli but not the "dirt" smell, more of an earthy floral-just a hint and in the distant background is the spice. Not the typical Brown sugar spice but I'm guessing more of the Amber? Not sure, it's not a sweet spice but more of a honey-ish. This is a nice change from the sugary resins I normally wear.
  18. I have tried up to 5 sprays of this and don't really see any direct hits yet. Howver yesterday the bagboy dude at the QFC offered to wait to carry my bags to the car while I got a starbucks!! Guess that could be considered a hit? I think I get selfies from this, but still not sure. Kind of hit and miss. The first couple times I wore it, it enhanced my already cheerful mood. The last couple of times, nada. phero's are just so hard for me to know if they are working or not.
  19. VANILLA BEAN ~ Aphrodisiac, inspires happiness, playfulness, sexual arousal, lust, vitalizing. PATCHOULI ~ Soothes and uplifts, sensual, sexually stimulating, lust, fertility, money. HONEYCOMB ~ Enticing, seductive, use to bewitch a straying or hesitant lover, happiness, fulfillment. BROWN SUGAR ~ Attracts love, luck, sweetness, riches, lust inducing. AMBER ~ Fertility, luck, riches, sensuality. This is lovely now!! I remember before amping the amber and smelling like dirt (the patch) when I wore this. So two years later I decide to give it another try and figured I'd just mix it with LP red if it didn't work out. I really get the patch in this but the vanilla sweetens it. Or it could be the brown sugar. Usually vanilla goes plastic on me so I'm curious as to what type of vanilla this is (the vanilla in OCCO white goes REALLY plastic on me) But I like pairing this with MRF and with OCCO black it's just about the best dark scent out there. Also this works with Sex and Violins, though the amber gets strong so I have to be careful. LP Red is better with S and V. Anyway, on me LP black doesn't amp as much as say, OCCO black by itself. I can actually wear this and not have people complain that they smell incense. Just shows you never know until you try. Full bottle for sure.
  20. Yesterday the grocery bagger dude offered to carry out the bags in the cart and it was jut RAINING ! I told him no thanks, as I wanted to pop over to the starbux in store and grab a latte. "I don't mind waiting" he quickly answered. LOL Wonder if it was the LFM?
  21. I know! That one was a wild card for sure. I think it's the ONLY musk I can wear. I'm sure I have other scents with musk but I only tolerate the musk b/c of the other ingredients. Maybe S and V is so resinous with other things that the musk takes a distant back seat.
  22. I wore this again today and applied a bit more liberally. I get brown sugar in the bottle, but on I get more.....what? I can't describe: pine? no, hmmm, juniper berry? Not sharp like a pine but not syrupy like a sugar either. But at least NOT perfumey. I will probably end up mixing it but not yet. Want to get a read on it. It's spicy but I can't put my finger on the spice. Includes 3 types of rich Amber resins, 3 kinds of aged and Indonesian Patchoulis, and 3 types of delicious Vanilla and Vanilla Bean, plus Apricot, Cinnamon, Resins, Honey, Maple, Musk, Pecan, dark Sugars, Sandalwood, Verbena and more. Ah, verbena and maybe some honey or amber. I don't like musk at all but there are enough other things in here so it's okay. The pecan in it reminds me of Vicars and Tarts.
  23. Luna do you think the CH will age? I sort of put my bottle in a cool dark place to hopefully let it age as now it's too powdery for me. Or do you think it is what it is?
