  1. I'm reserving what I want so it does sell out and I'm hopeful the NR's will be released prior to my 7 days running out.

I, too, am watching that 7-day countdown. So, to help myself just feel comfortable with that deadline, I'm thinking I will do what I usually do. .. order the NR full sampler set even before the NRs are announced, so I can meet the 7 day deadline, finalize my order, and avoid having to incur multiple PayPal vendor fees :)

  2. LOL Blackcat, I can promise, although wonderful scents can come and go here at lightning speed...the Potion Master is always divising wonderful new delights! There will always be something absolutely to die for - Promise! :D

I too get so enraptured with particular scents that I feel compelled to gather a few extra bottles. I have to keep reminding myself that there will be new loves for me to absolutely revel in, rejoice in, and with which I will become absolutely mesmerized and will fall madly, passionately in love :)

  3. Hmm... The rush on HH in the sales bin prompted me to come check out this review. I do love unique scents; patch loves my skin; as dies lily. ... interesting. I'm going to go see if I have a sniffie to try. ...

  4. My turn to have to uber-post myself up to new rank... Woozy Floozy just feels a bit of a uncomfortable fit on my non-drinking self...

LOL! Only 98 more posts to go! Based on my posting history, I'm going to be woozy for the next few months!

  5. Chai, what peach scent from that list is your favorite? thanks

DD... Sorry, not peach... Pesach. The Hebrew name for the Jewish holiday of Passover. This past year I started wearing Chametz (bready) scents throughout Pesach/Passover as kind of a joke (inspired in part by Luna's theme-based weeks) and my girls thought the idea was a hoot. So, this upcoming Pesach/Passover I'm going to give them their own Chametz scent :) And, it's a lovely thing to be able to do so from the sales bin :)

Hmm, I'll have to ponder what my favorite peach scent is and get back to you. Anyone else, feel free to chime in with suggestions!

  6. And I thought we were all teasing :) and all in good fun :) :) after all, people aren't really commodities to be traded ...

    And regarding the whole concept:

Still, every man is someone's son after all... And introductions are made in some form or another.... And all relationships involve compromise and give-and-take exchanges if they are to be successful (one partner can't always have it their way if the relationship is to be balanced)...

But back to the topic: just ordered from the sales bin:

Prophetic Pie; S'more Than aFeeling; Wheat Siren; Ghost Bumps; Lost Highway; Pumpkin Juice Cocktail... Now I have some Pesach Scents and Halloween scents with which to gift the Bears :)

  7. Dang, if he was a bit older, I would grab him in a heartbeat....

Oh my! This made me think about my youngest son's experience in California last week. He's 18... In walks this smoking hot gorgeous Asian woman in her late thirties... With a smoking hot Australian accent... And he is ENTHRALLED but struggling with this attraction (because of her age). And she's obviously smitten with him. I was laughing so much about this! Watched it go on all morning then, at lunch, when she's purring and cooing at him and practically in his lap... Seriously, he's very attractive and intelligent and mature, I can see why she's into him... but he speaks to me in Hebrew, calling me mom... And THE LOOK on her face is priceless! Turns out some of her best friends are Jewish, so she says "That's your mom?". Man, does the direction of the convo shift then!

Later that evening he says something about how hot she was... And then says something about how now he gets how his friends feel around me... LOL!

  8.

This was one of rare instances that i actually tried to do that "steering" thing we talk about a lot here -- steering the cougar in the purring jessica rabbit kind of direction instead of the I AM A STAH! direction...

Funny, but for me, Cougar has always had that Jessica Rabbit take to it. Maybe because that's how I always interpreted it so that's how I always played it. Then, when I returned to the forum and eveyone was commenting on the glittery/sparkly cougar vibe I was confused. I like the slinky 'I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way' vibe much better.....
  9. Love your avi, Phoenix!

I'm happy I took a chance and ordered fb before trying this one. If you look up "pretty" and "delicate" in the Perfumer's Guide to the Universe (what? You can't find it anywhere?! Huh!), you'll find a picture of the Goodie Tooshu label.

Goes on soft and sweet, then settles down into a lovely skin scent. You'll think it disappeared, but ask your Handy Hunk for a hug and I bet he'll say, "Mmmm, you smell good!"

    Love it!

JD... If the Handy Hunk comes with the FB purchase, I'm in!

Oh my, this is a VERY lovely scent. For me, it was an unexpected love in the NRs. Soft and sweet florals floating closely, the musk helping it seem to intermingle with my own skin-scent .... the vanilla coming out more in the dry down... definitely a skin-close scent BUT it lasts on me! Very softly sexy and alluring.

  10. You know, I always thought there should be a cereal called Raison d'Etre Bran and its purpose is that you would always know what you wanted to do with your life when you ate it. :D

I love this! Wondering how many would 'get it' if I worked it into a hypnotically-imbedded metaphor....

  11. I have

Do you tend to find that the White is a lighter vanilla or a darker type vanilla? The reason I ask is because I was trying out a sniffie of Ail's Voluptuous Vanilla and that one strikes me as bright and sweet and I was wondering which way OCCO White went from there.

Hmmmm......I don't find it dark, but I have also never worn Ail's VV to compare to. I find OCCO White to be very versatile......and, it screams vanilla.....I love vanilla, so I am ok with that!

I have both... and I haven't yet showered yet, so I can apply and compare... let me do that and then work-out and I'll be back to post my comparison....

So, even though I showered and readied for my day, I decided to wear both of these for a longer trial throughout the morning... and to apply Treasure of Pearls on my other arm :) I smell scrumptious :)

My sample of AVV is brighter and sweeter on me. It is lovely, and perhaps more complex in its inclusion of different notes, so different nuances of scent is perhaps the best way to describe the perception I am getting. AVV is without cops, so I can not say how adding cops would change the scent.

OCCO White is deeper; not darker in terms of dirtier but darker in terms of denser, richer, thicker, and, for me, a more entrancing and more compelling but straightforward VANILLA scent. It does have a cops smell when wet (not an offensive smell to me, but a definite female scent) but dries down into lovely rich vanilla.

And, thank you for the opportunity to make this comparison! I have been wanting to compare the two for a while now and really appreciate the nudge I needed to do so :) I think that, for me, my choice for layering when I desire the added vanilla emphasis will be OCCO white.

  12. I am ordering Shadow Dance with Gotcha...I too have one that does the dance...3 steps closer...one back. Don't get me wrong..it is a wonderful dance...but I think he might just need that little nudge to keep him moving forward...

Ah, the Come Closer... Go Away (but not too far away) Dance... such an interesting set of steps that one is :)

Yes, get him with your Gotcha and your inherent charms and grace!

Welcome again to the forum and I look forward to reading your reviews and responses!

  13. The clean fresh scent of scented CB can affect some people that way; I certainly smell it that way... and, the scent has indeed grown on me. The phero combo is absolutely a wonderful blend so certainly use CB for the power of the phero!

Hubs' comment might indicate that his scent preferences might simply lean in another direction than the clean, fresh scents. If that is the case, and I'm not saying it is, its an interesting dance when your scent preferences might not absolutely align with your man's. I have had that experience and resolved it for myself by wearing the scents I enjoyed and rejoiced in/relished/swooned and squeed over away from the home and then applying those scents he prefers while en route home. For me, it was that he prefers the clean scents (Scented CB is one of his favorites) while I am so much more into the resins/deep/honeyed/SEXY scents (I'm swooning just thinking about them! Deep, dark, sexiness! LOL!) With the veritable smorgasboard of scent selection available to us here at LP, you are absolutely sure to find something which catches both his attention and his appreciation!

  14. The stories are amazing! Thank you, Luna!

And, the scent notes and descriptions sound so beautiful! So gleefully excited to be sniffing them soon! Already thinking and wondering about my follow-up order (as the initial *SWOON* MUST HAVE order of FBs unsniffed has already been placed!)
